  1. No I hate that. But I can't find a color combo for my own build I like. So ima go take a seat....
  2. I talked to a good riding buddy of mine earlier today about my build. He was cursing stainless bolts so bad. Looks like ill stay away from stainless all together. Thanks again
  3. Protect your assets
  4. Id be too upset if I lost a titanium bolt. And I do lose bolts. But hopefully lock titing will solve that
  5. They most likely will get you out the hole and it will take you a long long time to catch them up if you even do. How about add more than bolt on power and still do gear. Getting in front of them off the line and stay there. Nothing worse than when you about to catch someone and they hit the brakes. the 19/38 post was some sort of sad joke. Youll see that a lot here. It's sad.
  6. Where from loco? Id assume the same company has 8mm and 10mm socket heads too in stainless
  7. Ill wait to see if someone knows off hand first. Ive got time to wait before my build needs it.
  8. Anyone happen to have the type, sizes and count for banshee so i can price/buy some from pro bolt? Also what size metric taps do i need for my bike's frame? I'm getting it powder coated and i want to have some taps ready just in case i have to chase some threads. i founds this on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/40-Pcs-Pieces-Tap-Die-Dye-Set-Tool-Kit-Metric-40PC-MM-/251358779381?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a862697f5
  9. cost of a 10mil was roughly $1100ish over a 4mil. Crank and trenching was the difference in cost. Since i wont do race gas anymore, i figured id do it with bore and stroke.
  10. Why not a 10mil? Also im aware of there are many 4mils kicking 10mils butt. It's all about set up, rider and of course a little bit motor
  11. People been running 35's with 4-10mil servals.
  12. Then the super is still in your best interest I think. Looking forward to seeing it running. Post some videos when done sir!
  13. I forgot the wampus is big bore. Listen to finch. Im doing a Super serval in a month and when we decided to go to the super, The cost went up a good bit. Price it out before you decide. Off the top of my head, pistons where $75 extra and the cooling head was $300 with domes. And I think you need cases bored. Might as well get the cylinders ported too. Then there's carbs to feed the kitty.
  14. Since they perform the same, get the serval wampus. Use left over money to start doing suspesnion. When increasing power, these bikes may not shift well. Something to think aabout if you are on a budget.
  15. That was my goal for my build a few years ago. 4mil ported stock jugs, sling shot under cover lockup with a dune able over ride. Worked like a champ. We all would love to have more power and be able to fool people. Some people rather hide it, some not. It's all in fun.
  16. do it. What you waiting for. It sounds like you already made up your mind. I hope it shifts good under power and the clutch holds. BTW good luck getting 80+ hp to hook
  17. So $100 to hide it, not bad at all. What kind of deal are you getting?
  18. Neat, didnt know they make one. I wish CP would update their site. I guess they figure most people who build big engines dont need all the combo's and specs. if cooling is an issue like previously said, id research more. Last thing you need is crap cooling by design.
  19. I thought a wampus is a stealth drag cylinder. If that is correct, no amount of savings including a free set of $800 CP cylinders(which is around the price off FAST's site) isnt worth it. Peaky all top end power band on trails. NO. Get a serval and have it ported so you dont lost no botton end and it gains through out the curve...Game on.
  20. Looks like we will have a similar build. I never thought id have strait cuts.....well fast forward about 5 years and yup. Do it once, do it right
  21. In any race that matters, you not going to say a mono block is stock cylinders. Plus after one run all out they will know how fast/quick it is.
  22. the bolts on the rear spocket have load. Some swing arm and suspension stuff. that's all i can think of. Am i missing anything? I didnt even realize they were allen head. I dont want that either. I want regular stainless heads that i can put a regular socket or wrench onto. Am i shit outta luck?
  23. thanks but i need the whole kit. doing a frame up build.
  24. Mine had t5s with a trail port. It was fun and reliable. Then I went over board.
  25. Maybe soak any rusty bolts in wd40. Take pictures and better help the assembly. Adding more power? If yes, how so?
