I've had my slingshot for around 5-6 years now. I always put more weight than recommended and leave it alone. I care it doesn't slip and I don't drag race seriously so I don't need to control or worry about slipping a little off the line. I always loved how it fit under the stock cover. That's a plus to me. I never liked the idea of "showing off" my lockup on a play bike with a clear lense. Slingshot fit under the stock cover, just have to grind the 3 tit things down.

I plan to use an r/c car battery pack kinda like the middle one hp2000 used. I think i can fit that between the tank and radiator. I'm tired of blowing out LEDs so i'm done with that until i can convert to d/c. I will get two new harnesses made by Kompulsive Concepts so it's all clean. I will just use the stock stator and external battery charger. I'm not sure if i can float the ground on a different stator and have it charge the little battery pack safely. It's a lot of money to have reliable LED's that ill barely ever use. But it will look good even when off.

High hp serval owner here. I hope you have the suspension, clutch and tires to handle the power like ZillaFreak said. A $2000 budget may not be enough for a serval especially if you don't have pipes and carbs. It's been a while since I priced all that stuff so I hope I'm not too far off saying $2k may not be enough for a serval. A stock ported 4mil seems more likely. I've had the most fun with my old ported 4mil stocker so far.

kinda catchy even though i didnt understand it. Looks like some people having fun. At least they arent waving stolen guns around in the ghetto rapping about cars, chains, rims, bitches and jing a ling bling bling. na mean?

If you are going to get the engine ported, a good vendor from here will know how to set it up from carbs to pipes. They can recommend that even if you don't get it ported but at least you can buy the parts from them. I just got every engine compartment from one builder and wrote a check. No guess work.

When ya get gapped by a big 3 450/700, youll see just now much them peak dyno numbers matter.

Still better than people fishing for likes on FB. TWO STROKE TUESDAY. LOOK AT MY BIKE

360 feet i bet

I didn't realize that. Now time for me to sit back and enjoy this.

OK the by those standards, mine doesn't have much low end but does have insane mid range. My graph starts at around 6k.

The big v twin utility bikes have insane off the line power. So they can do better than a banshee. I'm not here to argue about that though. Just trying to figure out what is low end. My serval seems to have massive low end. But maybe it's just massive mid range. It's been a few years since I road a 450 to compare.

What are yall considering low end power? Is there a certain Rpm that power has to be made before? Or perhaps on a two stroke, power before the power band? Just curious.

Fitment issue's after powdercoating
RagunCajun replied to jlaits's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Yes I did big time. I had to use my dremel and wire wheel and fine sand paper. For threads, I bought a metric tap set to chase any threads on bolts and nuts that had any issues. It wasnt hard to do. Just tedious. -
No that's me lol. I really hope you have some long strait terrain to take the bike on when done. My 521 is stupid fast and i run out of room in no time. The mph in each gear is very high. There's no way IMO a 521 is good for tight to moderate trails due to be being a waste of engine for that. For dunes, i bet it would be a blast.

Pretty sure ive seen on here F.A.S.T. ships there. Probably most do.

Then I'd recommend a pro mod. It's basically a better shifting stock Trans. Check supporting vendors for cost and turn around time. I like mine.

Banshee barely creeping with clutch in and another item
RagunCajun replied to Banchee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
It's the Allan screw in the middle of the whole clutch. Center of pancake bearing. It's held in place by a nut. That's how you adjust it correctly. For reference off Google Yours probably looks a little different but you should get the idea. Works the same way. -

I have an asv lever, slingshot and cascade pan cake bearing. It's been working fine for years. I had a duneable override so i was always using the clutch since i couldnt backload it. Zero issues. I had a slight creeping issue like you Sunday when i went ride. It was just my adjuster on the clutch perch too loose. I did have to adjust the little jam nut and inner adjuster(using an allan wrench) when i was setting up(building) the bike about 3 months ago when i first fired her up. Assuming the basket etc is ok, i think you need to adjust it manually. You can save the oil by tipping the bike over on the fly wheel side. It's very easy to do. And if that isnt adjusted right, nothing yo will do on the perch/bike will help enough. -
Chain slider for round tube swinger

Weddings are easy. The female plans it all. Unless you marrying a dude. -
Start calling builders and discuss it with them. With their porting and knowledge, Youll be better off. It may not be cheap but it will be done right the first time with their guidance.

I run both the TMD and mod quad on my current build. I got them from ebay. I ran the modquad for 5 years of my old build as well. -
