Any trick to get tires to hold air ?
BansheeKid15 replied to Droppedatbirth's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
First off, if the bead is not sealing (and the rim is in good shape) you most likely have a bunch of dirt or sand preventing it to seal correctly. With the tire flat get a buddy and a longer 2X4 and have him stand on the 2X4 to compress the tire enough to get a air nossel in there and blow everything out. After you have done this to both sides. Fill up your compressor so you got lots of air pressure and fill the tire, it should set the bead because of how much air is going into the tire. Thats what we did to mine at pismo (dunes) and its held ever since. -
Being that im 19... i dont want to be a father for awhile... well at least lets hope not, lol Im probably going to get my pops something for the ss chevelle

Im digging the orange on the 08 from canada though, i like that color

I agree, the nerfs with healguards would be killer
-
A custom set of nerf bars would be sick also, thats another thing that is 200+ that takes minimal material to make. You could do a nerf bar that bolts onto the stock peg, or new pegs. It could have heel guards attached to the nerfs as well. Another idea is making a billit bumper, havent seen too many trick bumpers out there, thats why i dont have one on the front of my shee right now.

i can post a pic in the morning. it just needs paint from what i can recall, maybe a small dent in the skid plate thing on the bottom, not the bar itself
-
I dont think i will be able to make it.. we just went last weekend , it was a good time down there, the most rails i have seen there in a long time. I havent tested it (or run it as a matter of fact with my cool head) the other bike that i bought has the 21cc's and they run fine. i dont know compression tho, sorry lol. Have a good time out there!
-
Stock compression is 130, so your ok for now, some say anything below 100 at sea level and its time to think about a rebuild. 22cc domes are standard compression, i have 21's, they run fine on pump gas... i ride the same places you do

It doesnt rattle

Not to hyjack your thread, but i took a look at my pistons yesterday, they have the standard carbon, but where the spark plug goes (the size of the inside hole) there is a circle on the top of the piston, should i be worried? Mods are in my sig, 270 mains... Im going to pismo on thursday so some quick advice/info would be greatly appreciated!

Where to Buy the fullbore fiber glass fronts
BansheeKid15 replied to RaceReady11's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Right... So you dont feel you have to explain why NOBODY gets your packages and shit?? Thats a great attitude, even if you ACTUALLY shipped them in the first place! Last time i checked i could track my packages from the ups website.... yay! Here -
Indeed, i cannot wait to go to pismo! and i still have to get my carbs back on my bike  He will have it for pismo this trip, so it should be fun. The kid is all of 125 lbs, so more or less a jockey. Ill tell him to get on here are hit you up hollister, i know he lives like 15 minutes from the park. So i will be able to go more often now that i have another friend to go with  Im hoping, he still has to sell his quad (00 blaster) also... Hes been a good friend for a while, thats why its easier to do him a favor.

How to adjust idle on TORS Eliminator Kit
BansheeKid15 replied to KaosBanshee44's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
That wont be a problem, i have a drill press all set up and ready to go. Thanks for the advice, ill post when im done, im sure i will have idling problems. Thanks! -
Thats what im thinkin of doing with the interest he pays me, sell my pipes, get some t-5's and get the jugs ported. Im kinda leaning toward the 95, even though it is older, it does have alot of aftermarket parts on it. I talked to the guy and he was saying that he is accepting offers, so i figure if i show up with some cash he wont refuse anything thats reasonable.

How to adjust idle on TORS Eliminator Kit
BansheeKid15 replied to KaosBanshee44's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
im about to finish my mine today, which means the drilling and tapping part. only question i have is, do you drill all the way through to where the slide is? Then you put the idle screws in, and follow the directions for synching the carbs and making it idle? -
Thats what i was thinking, were going to go see both and then decide. Going to take my comp tester with me to check them out. hopefully he likes the red (00' i believe) because i dont know if im willing to pay the extra 500. but we shall see how it works out, hes a good kid (I know that isnt something to base everything on, but you have to start somewhere). Plus he has a summer job, if he didnt i wouldnt lend him the money.
-
ya i feel you on that, im still a little apprehensive about the whole thing. The second did have a pic last time i checked but i just clicked on the link and i didnt see any  Thanks for the help
-
lol, is everyone afraid to post because of the last thread with a bike and price, lol . Any input would be appreciated
-
I have a buddy that i went to highschool with and he was talking about getting a banshee, but the only problem is he hasnt sold his bike and has just started his summer job. So like a good friend, i offer to lend him some cash to buy the bike, and he will pay me back plus some interest (He agreed to 10% on whatever i loan him). Im going to have the title of the bike in my name until he fully pays me back, interest and all. We are going to sit down and write 2 pages (one for me, one for him) that states what he is agreeing to pay me back (including interest) and everything else that goes along with it. Heres the bike, i talked to the guy and he said that the offer is OBO and hes throwing in some paddles. Tell me that you think of the bike/idea... Thanks! First pick Back up plan
-
Thanks man! ( i hope the engineering thing was about me, or i just made myself look stupid, haha) And i agree with the above, if your going to tell them their bike is too highly priced (in whatever situation), you should also feel obligated to tell them what a more reasonable price is, try to help them out, or something along those lines... haha, most likely And yes, I went back a re-read most of the thread and it is by far one of the funniest things i have read on here
