  1. i have heard something about a heat gun that takes the white marks out of a fender that has been bent. i wonder if you could just heat them up alittle on the underside and then pull then up alittle or use a pice of wood to hold them up intill they cool down ? accualy i have a set of old rears that i had rolled. i think i may try that with my old fenders. i will let you know how it goes.
  2. i will have to agree with toomeysheele. i just put a set on and they are the shit other then the coating is kinda think and comes of easly. i think the shock will rub. its not that close but i think its alittle to close for comfort. they are pretty cheap thowe 328$ on ebay. so with the extra money you could save up alittle more and get some shocks
  3. get guys i just put some ASR arms on my bike and noticed the front brake lines are accualy pretty long whel they arnt run the way the factory runs them. i was just wodnering if it is possible to use them on the +2 arms and if so any pics of the way you ran them. if no one runs the stocker i have a guy that can make me some steel bradied lines how long would i need them. just 2 more inches then stock or ?
  4. umm me and my firends arnt the only ones that have had our cases get rubbed away just noticed this about a week ago so my buddy checked his and was the same. do the billet ones solve this problem?
  5. #2
  6. well i just put the arms on today they look kick ass the only thing is the powder cating is very think in chips off way to easy. not a problem it will only cost alittle more to have them done with some other stuff i was wanting to get done. hers a couple pics
  7. cheak your compression should be around 125 for stock head. maybe try some new plugs. if you post this in the repair and mods section with your questions it will surely get slover there are some very smart guys on here that ussualy get things fixed up in no time.
  8. humm interseting. never knew that. where can i find these boot things everyones takeing about?
  9. yeah i think im going to get some worsk set up. they seem to be a cheap good aftermarket shock. yeah i dont ussualy keep by bike dirty so alittle WD-40 shouldnt be to hard to keep ontop of. iv been reading alot on here and its about 50/50 good and bad comment about the arms but it seem to be the people that have them say there are good and the pople that dont say they have HEARD bad stuff about them. either way im happy with the look and like i said i will tell all how they fit. plus they come with a lifetime warrenty ? probbaly not as of good as warrenty as i would think but still nice to know
  10. hey guys just got my +2+1 arms today from ASR( All star racing). first off the finish is perfect, then arms look supper strong as compared to stock and the hemi joint is huge. it would probebly be better for me to have a ball joint just because of the area i ride in but these hemis look strong as shit and they weigh a tone. anyway i will be installing tomorrow and will update you just with the Fit of the arms. only think is i wont be ably to try them out because my motor is out at jeffs. if anyone else has the asr's then chime in and tell me what you think?
  11. No problem
  12. yeah it was clear coated and it was PCed a gloss black thanks i will let him know i never though of that
  13. not to mess up anyones sale but you can get a new +4 axle from rockymountinatv.com for 199$ and free shipping to the US. i run one and a bunch of other pople on here run them and havent read of any problems yet also it comes with a warrenty
  14. well i just looked up the swingarm bearing kit in my rockymountin catalog and the part nubers are different and so is the price so im thinking your out of luck.
  15. well im no pro either but this could be the problem or the problem could still be inside and broke the bolt because of it. i would try and fix the bolt then go for a rip and see what t is then. if its fix then you saved yoursef alot of work
  16. im pretty sure you would beat him with just pipes
  17. i will agree with you about the new 450 frames and the factory making them light but i know 2 other guy plus myself that have bent the rad and steering stem support. plus alittle while back a guy PM's me on here asking how i bent mine back so thats four i know of now and im sure there are alot more out there. opps sorry about that dawarriorman i just reread your post and seen that you did list that steering loop problem sorry again
  18. wicked to be totaly honest its the first iv ever seen powder coating well other then on tv. i just though it might chip like paint would probably chip away when torqueing down. anyway thanks for the input i think i might have to try this poweder shit out
  19. maybe cheack your compression?? or see if you have good spark. also check to make sure your flywheel is still together and not all cracked and the pickup is at the right distance away from the flywheel. could have moved in the crash
  20. first you need to find out what evelation above sea level you ride at, then if you can find out what cc domes your are now someone should be able to hook you up with the noos machine chart that give an estimat campression. or you could wait until you get your motor back and do a compression test. if your over 160 i would run a 50/50 race/pump mix. if your lower then you should be alright. also you can advance your timeing 4 degrees. thats where most people start.
  21. when the guy put the HD clutch kit in he probably put all 6 HD springs in, what iv noticed is alot of people on here just 3 HD springs and 3 Stock strenght springs.
  22. my buddy got his engine case powder coarted and i was think then he goes to tighten and torque down all the nuts and bolts is he going to have to put washers under them all so when they tighten down it doesnt chip?
  23. well i will be able to tell you how the ASR's look this week when i get them but i wont beable to try them until i get my motor back from Jeff
  24. hmm i wonder what it would be like to put a thumb on a dirtbike ? lol i personaly think i would be wicked . oh yeah for your question. try it out but i think a thumb is better all around .
