  1. thanks alot thats what im looking for i will probably end up haveing to take the smallest spacer out of each side if i want to keep my rims on the right way. so its alright to have your back end wider then your front?
  2. also i dont want to take my sppacers out because i dont like how it looks when i put the spacers on the other side. so anyone thaat mx's could you tell me how wide you are running in the rear
  3. hey guys i have a Gforce adjustible axle and some aftermarket rims. how wide are you guys running with a +4 Axle. with all my axle spacers in and my rims on right my bike is 51" wide and with the rims inverted it is 46 and 1half" wide. just wonder what is a good mx setup. i also have some +2+1 on the way so if i measured right that should make my front end about 46 / 47 " wide. should i keep my read rims inverted so it narrower or should i turn them back around the right way so it 51" wide?
  4. i will agree that you are paying for the name with elka but the kit that he wants is right up there in price aswell. get some quicksand Arms they seem to be pretty popular around here and then go for some works with or without rezzys and you will still be under the 1400$ price tag that Hydowhatever has on there stuff. and again im sure the kit works kick ass compard to stock but WORKS shock are a good name thats been around for awhile and are priced very good as compared to elka. forinstance you can get a works dualrate with rezzy for around $500/$600 new. elkas dualrates with rezzys looking at $750/$850 new. im my opinion i would go with works shocks and some decent arms

  12. what kinda of a arms do you have. im getting some new arms and they are +2+1 but they ise a stock LENGHT shock. so i would figure out what kind athey are then resurch them to see what size shock they take

  14. i myself would tear it down. since you checked it after you had your head milled the compression before could have been down to 100 or so?
  15. you have got to love how the banshee fires right up on a hot day and a couple hours riding on it. lol cant say the same abotu thowes 4 pokes. i dont know how many times iv seen thowes things not want to fire and nearly kill the riders ankle once he does egt it fired. maybe im worng and the new 4 stroke are different with there hot start feature but i know alot of the older modles are a bitch

  17. um i would buy new. a machanice told me one time that when you tube a tire on a high hp bike they dont last long. i think he said they spin the tube or something cant really remeber can anyone chime in on this?
  18. well i would say since you are asking about a +4.-1and -2 i would go with stock length just my opinion.
  19. wow that thing was mint i mean stored for like 22 years lol i had a mint 86 that still had thowes stock tires and everything once lol got into a bad accident with it and sold it for 700$. everyday after i sold it i still regret it. now im really kicking myself. oh well people do weird things when in need of money. one thing im happy about is i sold it to a fellow trike lover and he has got it just about back to stock int condition.

  21. can anyone clarify forsure what years work and what years are longer/shorter. i find it hard to belive that yamaha changed them but i may be wrong.
  22. well i havent done any of these mods yet but i do have my parts sent away to get some if it done, and iv been around long ehough to know some stuff. i would say get your crank welded now before you decied to go with any more hp, also i would get your cylineders bored just so you know the size and what size of pistons to get makes things easyer and its nice to know they arnt out of round at all i think. also for the porting iv never heard anything about there work but porting is a very good way to make more hp. its a noticable difference apperantly from what iv been told. oh yeah and about your head being milled if your going to do that your upping your compression and therefore i would get the crank weled since you have it half way apart. just my .02 cents

  24. the looks on the 450 riders faces are even better when you go out with a modded banshee and clean up. just my though everyone without a banshee seems to hate them so i just love showin up thowes 4 pokers
