Ive never seen 500cc utility quads where we dune, but we take my wifes wolverine 450 and it will go pretty good. It wont climb everything but it goes most places. There was a fella on an outlander 800 and it went anywhere he wanted it to. I think you would be alright on a 500 as long as you dont want to climb really steep stuff...

majicmike could get you some billetintakes for any size carbs. They looks really nice on there too.

Good ole bottle of acetone will take that crap off. I got a rad cover and tank cover from a guy that had a decal kit exactally like yours on it. Used WD for the big stuff, used acetone for the rest of the crap stuck on there. They looked like new after the acetone. Main reason everbody cuts them is for looks. Sand duners cut them off to because they dont have any function in the sand.

I used the gaskets that came with the reeds/ intakes.

You could make your rears look like aluminum if you wanted to. Just sand them a bunch, buff and polish the heck out of them and then hit them with a sealer to keep them from rusting. Quite a bit cheaper then new ones, and kind of a fun project. This what my fronts before... and after

I just got a new X-ring chain and really like it. Got a new 15 tooth front sproket too, now I just need a new rear, mine is a little wore looking.

Me and bigred350x are both from wyoming. My family has a ranch around Cheyenne and bigreds familys got one around laramie. You should hit the dunes with us this summer. We have too many cattle down here to ride now, but you are more then welcome to come up to KP with us during the summer months.

I got into the same kinda deal, mine are alba, and messed up a little so the alba joints wouldnt fit. Anyway I got the Ricky Stator ball joints, cut on my albas a little and walah, it worked. Go to Ricky Stator and check theirs out, may get lucky like I did.

Pm majicmike, he was filters like mine. They are just as good as K&Ns. If they were stamped K&N nobody would know the difference. He has outerwears too...

That would be the perfect filer for sand. Only thing, I wouldnt buy K&N brand filters. You can get off brand ones WAY cheaper and they are just as good. :thumbsup:

Fusion is great stuff. Its not show paint, but it is great for plastic and stuff. At least if you scratch it or something, its an easy fix. I love that stuff.

Got a magazine with the renegade in it and the people that wrote the article really liked it. If it wasnt so expensive and ugly! Looks like a good quad though.

Got it on last night and couldnt be happier with it. Easy install, and it looks great. I would get another one if I needed to.

Well it works for me and ive bent the shit out of my plastics and no crack, chip or anything. So I wouldnt go boasting your "best" way to do it, its more like the way you prefer to do it. And the paint sticks to the primer just fine, fusion sticks to plastic with no primer, so sanding it to 1000 isnt hurting anything. Anyway about someones clear coat question, we have put rust oleum clear coat over fusion with no problems.

Chrome was jacked up from them when I got them. Big ole piece of chrome came off they day I put them on...
