  1. take the clutch basket out when you get in there and see how much play is between the gear and the basket. Your problem sound exactally like my clutch basket was.
  2. Didnt work, any other ideas?
  3. Cool... I will go give that a shot.
  4. Go to Lowes and get their compounds they have. Also get a yellow and white wheel to use. Size doesnt matter on the wheel, what ever you have the power to use it on. Green lowes compound is awesome for final shine, and the white works great to get the deep scratches and cleaning up.
  5. Just the fact that the little set screw has a chance of coming out would make me get the 3s. I would rather spend the 100 more dollars then wreck my whole engine that will cost a lot more then that to fix.
  6. On my airstriker carbs that are brand new, the hose at the very bottom is leaking fuel when the gas is on. It didnt do it before, but now it just pours. Does this mean the floats need adjusted?
  7. Get some good compound, some good buffing wheels and have at it. I made a steering stem and brake calipers look like chrome yesterday. Its easy, just use the right compounds for the metal and it will turn out. Also have patience! Good luck to ya!
  8. To make your tranny shift easier mod the shift star to start. Jeff @ FAST has a couple things on there to help your hard shifting.
  9. well fuck on asphalt you are just slipping the clutch. Get a new clutch, and a locker.
  10. With no locker you are most likey just slipping the clutch. You may also just be spinning, like most cubs! Get a locker.
  11. I would put money on it thats what the problem is. If you have the $$ just get a billet basket and change the cushions. Easy fix, good luck with it!
  12. Is it kinda a growling sound? Check out your clutch basket cushions. Mine were bad (well actually gone when I got it apart yesterday) and it made a growling sound.
  13. Make sure you are getting fuel. That is an easy place to start, and more times then not the problem.
  14. Whats the problem. explain whats going on and you will get more help.
  15. If it is breaking up on top check the gap on your stator pickup. If thats gapped wrong you will get a high end miss. if you have a ricky stator timing plate pretty good chance that could be your problem. Ricky stator plates are notorious for stripping out and messing up the gap.
  16. I wouldnt mess with them. Mine are cut and Im just gonna take them off.
  17. Im not real sure but I think a 392 is a stock stroke. Not real sure though.
  18. That had nothing to do with the problem with the kit. The bolts are made of shitty metal, they wont torque, they stretch and will not hold a torque. The bolt was clean too, I just spilt the cases and was re assembling a cleaned part. Fact is, the kits suck ass, and anybody who is looking for bolts needs to look elsewhere.
  19. I always keep the screws or anything for that matter, the stupid case deal was on there when i got it. Thats why I didnt have them.
  20. Follow their recommendations?!?! Does that mean the fucking case bolts cant handle 20 foot lbs? You can ask majicmike, alloyboltz kits are shit.
  21. I have the angled cut gears off my banshee for sale. The big gear off the back of the basket, and the small gear off the crank. $55 shipped.

    Fullbores

I am looking for a set of fullbores that can be scratched up, just not broken. Let me know what youve got.
  23. My bro just ordered a fastnerguy kit, I will let you know how it works. I would just use OEM bolts on the engine, too risky and a major pain when you have to split the cases because of bolts and nuts that wont torque right.
