  1. do you think i will loose bottom end with the 33s ?
  2. my question, of course, it what size carbs sould i get? i have +4 timing, vitos reed blocks and reeds, power pistons, fmf fatty pipes and silencers, reed spacers, trinity intakes, stock head milled .030, no lid...... oh, and a boost bottle  i ride woods, and was thinking about getting a woods port job from fast.?? i guess i want all around power with more bottom end and still pull like mac truck on top... should i stick with the stock carbs or go with 28mm flatside mikuni???
  3. make sure your carbs are in sync. do not lean it yet, sounds like your lean. what do your plugs look like first?
  4. oh... did you sync your carbs, just asking.
  5. put the filters back on and try it. if it aint better, try the choke to see if its leaning or to rich.
  6. had mine cut .030 and compression went from 125 to 150. i have fmf fattys with 290 mains. i woudnt go more than .030.
  7. this may be a stupid question, but did you put new plugs in it? just asking because mine done the same thing, checked the plugs and they were firing, but one was not firing good enough under load.[missfiring]
  8. you can get a jet kit from vitos.
  9. took .030 off my head, no problems. i paid $30 also. i wouldnt go no more than .030
  10. they are hooked to the tors!!! they send radioactive signals to your head to bring you migrains!
  11. did you sync your carbs? check your plugs? check your compression? check your fire? i know you took your tors off, but sounds just like this would be your problem. anyway, see if while its running if it runs better or worse with the choke on or off. i wished i had a better answer.
  12. check the compression to see where its at.
  13. he is wanting to know the rim size, he already knows the tire size. what he sould have asked is,,, how wide are the back wheels......
  14. yea, check your compression first. also take some gas and pour into the cylinder, just a little, dont drown it, the kick it to see if it starts right up. also check your spark.
  15. just drill it out and helicoil it.
  16. get a colbalt bit. they are cheaper and easier to find. i done the same thing, and the colbalt bit cut right thru it.
  17. i have them on my banshee and love them. they work good for all kind of trail riding, plus the are LIGHT!!
  18. what kind of filter do you have on it now? do you just have the lid off or what?
  19. if it flows water one way, then i asume you are going to put it on this side out? if it flows water, then as you say, it will flow air? if water and air flows thru, wouldnt mudd and muddy water flow thru it to? just a thought. hope you get my point. something to think about.
  20. sounds like your float is stuck open. does it pour gas when its not running?
  21. mite help if we knew where your at.
  22. okbeast and thack are right, i have the same pipes, and silencers. just switch them and they will work.
  23. na, i only had it happen twice. one was about 10 years ago on a yz 250, and one about a year ago on one cylinder on my banshee. didnt hurt anything, but i shut em off as soon as it happend. i know nothing about the situation 909 had, dont really care. shit happens sometimes. not to say it did, or did not happen to 909 though. i have built drag motors for cars and seen alot of shit happen that wasnt surpose to happen. one motor will take a 250 shot, and the other motor, with the same setup may burn the pistons? just saying 909 may be telling the truth, but what do i know? and to lifted, you do have the wrong guy! pay attention to the post..
  24. na, my bike is not in pieces, the plug was loose, and it just worked loose and came out. as sood as it made all the racket, i hit the clutch and the kill switch. and as far as a shop, i have my own that i build car and bike motors in for a living.so if anything goes wrong i fix it myself. nothing crazy about a plug falling out though, just didnt tighten it up good.
