  1. at least tearing a banshee tranny is much easyer than a R6
  2. I did mine aprox 2/3 of the entire needle lengh but i also turn the fuel off every time i shut down for the day other wise i might run the risk if draining the tank out. thats what i did and it works for me i also have a set of Minuki Flatslide with a 330main i think that they are a stock size b/c they work with the stock air box/and intakes. i really dont know they were on there when i bought it.
  3. i had the same problem make sure when u played with the carbs that teh needle is dropping far enough for fuel to refill the bowl. also check the sator cover for water in there. i dunked my in a lake and that was one of many problems i had. i am running a set of 330mains with FMF SST and some other stuff. also make sure that the intakes do not have any dry rot in the rubber. another problem i discovered. and i just readjust what the fuel oil mixture is usally 45:1 to 50:1 ams oil the thing pulls like a raped ape. Better to run it rich on the break-in incase of problems like this. no oil= fryed $300 :shoothead:
  4. i would put a temp plug in the hole and fill the case with kerose gas diesel then unplug hope for the best and start fishing mabe you could look up how to make a electromagnet out of the coat hanger hope for for the best ps blaster case tear down == kind of a pain
  5. just think of the self detonation you are thinking of doing on this machine 10g difference at 13000 rpm sounds like a bad move to me..... u have the engine apart just replace the dumb thing and get on with it.use the old piston as an ash tray or just a dust collector at the shop
  6. yea the line that runs out of the head (front of the machine sould be hooked to the loser radiator hose. i am not in front of the machine but i beleive this is correct. coldest water hits the jugs and the head. there is a small line that runs on the back of the head i beleive that is just a shorty and the pump runs to the top of the radiator please correct me if i am wrong i am not in the front of the radiator also if i was you i would be doing a google search of banshee pictures and look at how they do the hose routing. just my 2 cents
  7. yea i am having some of the same problems below 0 does have a problem with the machine make sure the thing is actually getting to running temps then make sure the fuel is actually fuel and not water in there. gas floats on water. could be a problem with the cold weather and condesation.
  8. Move 2 Wisconsin the best state in the world :yelrotflmao: no where else that i can think of that will be -20 for more than 2 weeks this sucks. Banshee runs like crap in this weather but when you do get it running well it is tons of ice racing up here if you can take the cold
  9. before you get all busy on the banshee i think most of the people here would say that you should junk the stock air box and pick up a decient aftermarket one. just do to the design flaw that Yamaha corp didnt address in 20 years ( they just decided to can the line) main thing is to get the fuel mixture right get a service manual off of the site here and keep posting and reading what every one else has done to make the machine a animal and go off of that. thats al i can say i would like to help but i am almost 8-9hrs away
  10. If possibe could you shoot me a email of the Blaster to cpaul(at)wynnjones(dot)com just replace the (at) with a @ and (dot) with . thanks much
  11. the standard 87-89-91- and boo yea 110 racing fuel but that is almost $4.00+ a gallon kinda steep but the blue color and smell is worth it
  12. Yea thats what it was got the floats stratight and the needle valve correct and wabamm darn thing took off
  13. Flatslide carbs running great b4 engine rebuild now one side runs great the other just dumps a tone of fuel in and pushes it out the back. tore it apart and cleaned the missing crud out of it and tryed again with same response. up here it is around 10 degrees outside and thats where all teh testing is let me knwo what you are all thinking Chase
  14. When my carbs came in they had a lever that runs the left carb so i guess that i lucked out no seat removal here
