I had a drag race with a 450 today, he was stating that he has never lost in any race he has been in. i beat him and took his cherry, but in doing so i missed 4th and bogged 5th, and still beat. oh yeah, my quad is 35 lbs heavier & i am 65 lbs heavier than him, so lets just say i was carrying 100 lbs more than he was.my & is i am going to a lonestar +4" swingarm, i would like to know how much motor i can bring up before dumping the clutch with the new setup.very diffucult to keep the nose down with the stock unit, and i'm reluctant to bring up lots of rpm's.forgot tosay irun 320 main jets & plugs look good.

  8. i been using acf-50. at 100bucks a gal its not cheap. i believe its best to wash it down then use wd40 using a paint spray gun to apply, buy it by the gal at costco or whatever.
  9. from launch or start to about 70 or so is usually about what we drag, of course i want to do it as cost effective as possible,just so i can purchase more goodies.they will be making upgrades after last time out, so it would be nice to have another surprise. they thought i was going to show up with my max 800, didn't tell them i had a modded banshee.

  11. ok,guys this is what i have done and its made the stock machine a complete faster machine, i raced 2 650 ds 6 times and everytime i hit 4th gear i was gone. their rides was slightly modified.i would like to get 10 more hp, yes just like everyone else, so my mods are 1.race barrel & 30mil p&p head,toomey pipes t5s,air intake, 13 tooth front spk.works g series. also vforce 3 reeds valve.on race fuel. main jets are 320 and burn bout right. i would like to retain the stock carbs if possible just so i can get some distance on riding.any help THNX.
  12. With all things being equal, ask yourself this. What is the size of the main jet he runs, and what is the size of the main jet your run. I run a 320 main and put out about 60 hp. I agree about the t6s, i put the t5s because i was told by a dealer they are a better pipe.
  13. I run skat traks with good results for all around riding in the dunes.
  14. With the head shaved 30 thou, you can mix race fuel and premium gas a 50 50 mix.

  19. With your 340s are you making 70 hp? I just did the figures, you should be at 64.5hp.

I read an magazine article where they tested the shift pro, said it shifted like butter with no missed shifts while hill climbing. at 69 bucks i would go that way no star wheel to modify, my problem is i cant get tudors to answer his ph, only a recording, and he didnt return my call, stinks i want the kit.

  24. Dealer said the water should be just over the inside fins, not to the top or it will just burp it out.
