  2. yes i know they need to be revved up to keep the cylenders cleaned out. but riding with 4 pokes is hard to do. ? is would a nology coil and wires give them more hrs. thnx, again.. r u using the stock plugs? ngk b8es. i run them till the spark starts to break down, the plugs are not fouled out,.

Hello all. i only get a few hrs out of a set of standard plugs before they start missfiring. i had the dealer look at them and he said they plug looked like it was burning right. after i replace the plugs it runs great again. is 10-15 hrs riding normal for a set of plugs?. along with the fuel and oil you have to be rich. would a better coil help? thnx.
  4. boondockers dont use or need a fuel pump, and they have a recharge kit, so you can recharge in the field.you need to give them a call so they can educate you on the use of their system.
  5. give fast racing a call, they will fix you up.
  6. i ordered 1 and it never got shipped. after a long time i told em to forget it. i went with the modded star from fast racing. i havnt missed a shift since, however i still have a problem finding nutreal. as far as the blaster wheel i was told u cant by that as 1 piece any longer, may be wrong, just what i was told. anyway talk to jeff at fast racing he will fix u up.

  8. You might try going back untill the idle speed starts to pickup, maybe +2.
  9. Your right. I weight in at 235 lbs. How fast is to fast? They would have to glue me to the seat of that monster.

    I run 3 psi in the loose sand, however i noticed i am starting to spin the tire a little bit on the rim.
  13. i hear the bottle is not a good thing. i beat the yfz 450 with my mods, was going out this morn to race a 450r hopped up, but it was too damn cold out. take a look at my mods.by the way with the mods i have done,i run the stock carbs at sea level with 320 main jets.

    From what i hear the ds is suppose to be 1 of the most fastest motors after mods, deal is with any 4 stroke costs a fortune to get serious hp's, compared to the 2 stroke.

    racing against 2 650ds with some mods, my shee won 6 out of 6 drags by lenghts, no problem.
  16. the mods tell the work or speed with the size of your main jets. with my mods i run 320 main jets, with stock carbs if you know that you wouldnt want to race me. i beat 700r, 450, 650ds,[so you need a good port job.]

  20. yeah, i deal with the same damn problem, i was told by the local shop that the fix is to round off the shift star, how much, i dont know.i will have them do it just to be safe.i told them i wanted the blaster shift star as that is suppose to work better, but they told me its not longer available as a one piece unit.
  21. i see, you can hold it wide open then drop the clutch, if i do that i might be able to launch in 2nd gear.i was thinking i might blow the motor doing that.if thats how its done i will give it a try.
  22. mods are race barrel 30 milled head, p&p,vf3 reeds, t5's, air intake,timing plate,race fuel,13th front sprocket,skat trak 9 paddles,sand only, wet & dry.i tried 2nd gear launch in dry sand & got to much bog, but still beat 2 650 ds's 6 out of 6. when i hit 4th gear the shee was gone.
  23. i have the t55's, i hear they perform better than the 6's. my strongest gear is 4th. the vf3's r great,with the plate. i have lots more bottom end & almost no smoking, its great now.
