I think if you unplug all the connectors you have to install the idle screw in the left carb. This must be done be someone with knowledge and the right tools (tap & die set) If the stock cables are still on the carbs try turning the large knobs on top. I think that will raise and lower your idle. It's been a while since I had that crap so I might be wrong.

you said the TORS was basically removed. does that mean you put the new throttle cables on without the stock, crazy looking robot things on top? If you did replace the cables, did you install an "idle" screw in your carb?

I figured sand would be the best since I have smoothies up front. I'm more worried about hard turns in dirt with knobbies.

Since fenders are for deflecting debris, I figured I'd be getting dirt and sand in my face if I cut the fronts, but not sure about the back fenders since my rear tires are spining fast. What can you guys tell me about having cut fenders for riding trails, desert and sand? THX in advance.

I just took these off today and cleaned them up. the chrome is shining pretty good! some blueing and carbon stains by the flanges. No dents! I just ordered new O-rings today

I've got the stock tires off an '03. great cond. I don't remember the tire size but the rim size is 9". I don't know if it's worth it to you (or me) to ship from Los Angeles though. let me know.

Thanks, guys. I'm trying to buy them as cheap as possible so I don't care about the condition. I'm looking for "beaters" as long as the base is there. i don't even care if the base is cracked.
