  1. For the uninformed (me), what are these? Fuel bowls?
  2. I was running a bronze fuel filter up to last season when I smoked a piston. After finishing the top end, took it out to break in and it ran absolutely terrible. Acted as if it was going to seize up. So we're pulling things apart when my buddy suggests checking the flow. We pull the line off of the T and it's barely flowing. We pull the filter out and fuel is running fine. So we think maybe it's clogged and put on a new filter. Well it flows as bad as the old filter. So my question. Is there a better filter to run? I know there's a screen at the petcock, but I still want to run a filter to keep sand out. And was this filter the culprit of why I broke a piston in the first place. I've heard the bronze filters can cause a lean condition. Is this true?
  3. just add a resister in line of the power lead from the stator to reduce the voltage...
  4. where can I get HQ stickers?
  5. I added a single 9" light on a custom built mount. Ricky Stator HO stator with ground floated, rectifier regulator, battery under the seat in place of over flow bottle. All the parts cost about $560. The light was $300 on a deal from a local dealer. Haven't had a chance to night ride with it yet, but just turning it on out at Gordon's was impressive over the other lights I had. Don't have pictures yet.
  6. Have you taken the carbs apart during the rebuild to clean them? If not, try that. I had an issue with my shee running on one side. I spent too much money on stuff I didn't need. It ended up being a plugged pilot jet. Check your jets.
  7. There might be some new way now. But the only way I know to remove chrome is take it to a chrome shop and have it "pickled". It's basically an acid wash that removes only the chrome.
  8. Thanks for all the response. I've found what I need.
  9. I was web surfing last week and found a company selling an entire swing arm pivot kit. This included everything, bearings, seals, bolt & nut, bushing tube. I cannot find it now. I thought I had it book marked, but no luck. Has anyone seen this as well? Please PM me with their link.
  10. If you have one in good condition, please PM me or send email to [email protected].
  11. I think the question was "Will the hubs from a Blaster fit a Banshee axle?". Not will the wheels on the Blaster fit the Banshee hubs. but then I could be wrong...
  12. I heard a rumor the Banshee will be coming back powered by half of an R1 engine. Anybody else heard anything about this? Or is this just some urban legend?
  13. SOLD...................
  14. Reduced to $400 (including shipping)
  15. And close up pics of the engine, suspension, etc. would be nice so there's more detail on everything he claims this quad has on it.
  16. Use a smaller hammer than you'd think needed. A smaller hammer delivers a greater shock when striking something. Larger hammers deliver greater blunt force and aren't as well suited for this. Also there's a kerosene based penetrating oil called Kroil. This stuff is awesome for breaking loose everything I've tried it on.
  17. New in the box, bare metal, never installed Metal Tech J-arms; 2" wider, 1" forward. Includes: arms, ball joints, tie rods $450 + shipping PM me if interested picture soon
  18. If you really want one, Pro Designs has a billet piece for about $90.
  19. I'd just use the stock switch to activate a relay or two. But you really should convert to an AC system, add a battery as other replies have stated. I added a 9" HID to my shee. Bought the RS 300W stator with floated ground, Rectifier Reg. A buddy made a battery box and I installed it where the coolant overflow was. It works real nice. I'm also adding a Trail Tech 50W flood for around camps.
  20. Test the ground wire in the socket to make sure you do have a ground. Then test the positive lead. Then as the others have mentioned, test the bulb. Either switch bulbs or use you multimeter set to resistence (ohm's) to see if you have continuity across the filament. Also make sure all the connections are together and tight.
  21. I'm thinking of changing to a Dean Sundahl LT chassis. How is the VIN handled? Can it be transferred to keep my green sticker?
  22. Do you have their web address? I tried running a web search and didn't find them.
  23. My stock cap leaked at the mating surface with the tank. I fixed this by buying a billet cap with a rubber gasket. Problem solved
  24. I had the same problem last year. I felt like I was chasing my tail every step of the way. Spent $$ on new coil and CDI when it turned out to be a blocked Pilot jet.
