  1. I have a Dean Sundahl frame that I'm finally ready to build. The problem is finding front shocks. Originally Worx built them, but they seem to be out of business. Anybody know where there might be a pair? Or know anything about Worx? Thanks
  2. This quad is in Montana. As far as I know this is completely stock. The engine runs great and the tires show very little wear. Shocks were rebuilt and have 2 rides on them. comes with: full set of skid plates My uncle rode it and confirmed it's in good running condition. All inguiries: Brent McDonald 405-570-8455 (mobile) 405-551-6060 (shop)
  3. Thanks for all the replies. Sort of what I was thinking from reading the description on Rocky Mountain.
  4. Is this legit or a gimic that's not worth the money? My cousin is getting a Shee soon and is new to them and all over the place looking at stuff to put on it. I remember seeing it on Rocky Mountain ATV. Thanks for any info.
  5. Is that the Pivot Works web site price or from eBay? I've found their stuff on eBay for less than the site.
  6. The Toomey kit was highly recommended to me and I have never been happier.
  7. Hey Sandtazam, Getting back to the board. Been working too hard, took last week off for SEMA. Thanks for posting the radiator pics. Could you post a picture of the air filter set-up? Dean told me he uses Toomeys 2 into 1 filter adapter. How about you?
  8. We found the part needed. Thanks
  9. Thank you
  10. I have a buddy looking for the right upper A-arm. But how much for all 4 arms? And where are you located? We're in San Diego.
  11. Hey Stetler, I see you're over here as well as GD. Your quad is coming along nice. Can't wait to see the finished pics.
  12. Which LEDs are they? I went to the Vision X site and wasn't sure which they are. I can't imagine they're Pods, those are pretty big.
  13. They look like LEDs. And I would guess he wired them into the tail light circuit. Hey Snop, the flat black pipes look sweet. What is the coating? Powder, Jet Hot or?? I'm planning to do something similar to my pipes when I'm able to financially.
  14. X2 cheap insurance against an old part causing a catastrophic failure
  15. Dude!, I love the V4. It has a wicked exhaust note. And your's is blown which is even cooler.
  16. Sell the frame? Not yet. I'm getting a bit crusty as you mentioned you are, and don't have the money or storage for a rail. So this is my solution to a comfy-er ride. The crazy thing it it's going to cost almost as much as buying a used short travel buggy when I'm done. Pictures of the that radiator line would be cool. Also, what did you do for air filters? One per carb or a single filter with an adapter? Or are you running a single carb?
  17. I need to rebuild the shock and was wondering what it takes to tear down. I looked in my manual and it doesn't show anything more than how to remove and install it. Are there special tools needed? Thanks
  18. Man, glad I happened upon this thread. I bought a frame from Dean a year ago and am saving to get the front shocks. Once I have them, the build starts. Sandtazam, any tips you found while building yours would be appreciated. I'm curious what you did to get the lower radiator line around the tie rod and also what you're using for filters. Dean uses a rubber 2 to 1 adapter from Toomey, but I'm thinking of going with separate filters.
  19. So maybe an Admin should just delete the thread?
  20. You might have to destroy the bolt to remove it if it's in that bad. Sounds like a lot of rust inside the pivot tube.
  21. Welcome to the site man. And welcome to San Diego whenever you get here.
  22. Wow! That's sweet looking.
  23. X2 A bought engine can be a crap shoot. If you trust the builder, that's one thing. Unless you were there when it went together, all you ahve to go on is what the builder lists on the build sheet, if you even get one. Plus building your own teaches you what goes into it. These are real simple engines. I've never touched a 2-stroke until a buddy helped me do the top end on mine. Now I don't have an issue with tearing it open.
  24. A stroked and bored engine will almost always give you more. I'd ride what you have first to see what you think. It might surprise you.
