What kind of riding do you plan on doing? The j-arms arent that bad for drag racing. I would never hit any huge jumps on the old j-arm setup but who knows?

HA! Prepared to spend a ton of money! Little kids on Daddy's bike will beat you. Then you spend more money. Next you brake something then you spend more money on the upgrade. Next your friend will beat you then you spend more money to upgrade Next you will think you are darn fast, this will last for about one month until you get whooped again by Little Johny on Dads bike. Repeat process over the next couple years/Months. Then you lose heart, sell your banshee and cry about how much money you wasted! If you dont lose heart you will have a ton of fun/tears when building these bikes to drag! It is great fun!

I've never been to sand mountain, in all the pics/video that i have seen it looks longer. I should know on the gearing by next week, just getting the bike all put together. Thanks for the help. Does anyone have any actual proof on how much lighter the Brats are across the board. I've run haulers for years, but i keep hearing about the brats being lighter.....By a bunch. I figure i can use any weight savings that i can find.

Local Yamaha shop will have all of that right now. Yes it may cost you a little more, but its better then buying old rusted beat up stuff? In my opinion that is.

I've never seen that particular one. I have a 1 gallon aluminum, its used for drag racing. Made to limit fuel sloshing, as well as weight. Plus it makes me look fast.

Dont forget tuning. A 450 jetted incorectly, bald tires, etc can have different affects. Rider DS650 are top end monstors. How long was the race? Stock banshee should be a 400ex if not you have some problems. Weight vs HP and dont forget traction!

Dont worry run the knobs, but your bike will get HOT! It works no problem, you wont win any races, but it will slide like crazy!

What kind of riding do you do? A buddy of mine painted his plastic with the Rhino lining, it looks funny, but strong as hell on the plastic. I would think it would add a ton of weight for the whole frame. Not for me, It would take a beating for you though.

In the process of building a 4 mil on gas, +8 swinger with some 38mm carbs. possibly overide, on 10 paddle haulers. what sprocket combo are you guys running? I'm right at 200lbs. this will be for olds hill in glamis..................of course! This bike is going up the hill only, not duning.

Looking to unload my yfz 450 for a Raptor or a DS650. 2005 yfz mint condition. Bone stock with blue hmf pipe and header, tag bars. K&N pro flow. flawless, adult owned and maintained. Open to sell it as well or trade for?

Picked up my billet kicker and billet brake res. Fullbores came in. All we need now is just the brake lever and shifter. I really think i want billet in both, but open for ideas. I tried the link on the ebay stuff, nothing there. Its getting close to having the banshee completely done. I still could use the headlights, but not to worried about them right now.
