Yes there is a second hand, and it ticks
-
Anybody run them, how do you like them. Thanks
-
Sounds like You flooded it out, Kicking it 10 times or more will def. do it . Make sure everything is on like ignition and fuel then hold the throttle wide open and kick it . When doing this it should start on the first couple of kicks, but keep on the throttle for a little when it does start to burn all the extra fuel. If this does not work I would check your plugs and filter, might need replacment. I used to have trouble starting my shit when it would sit for a while. Now, right before I turn off the quad for the day, I turn the gas off and let the it run for a little bit, then turn it off. A week or so later I would turn the gas on and let it sit for a minute. Finally I would turn the ignition pull choke out and get on the quad and shake it around side to side and it will fire with first kick or if its cold 2nd kick always.

I need a pipe that gives me low and mid
NY350twin replied to charles's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
You should go with paul turner mids, then from there I ould go with the fmf sst or gnarlys. -
You don't have to change it every ride, but around 3-4 rides is a good interval . 2 stroke transmissions recieve alot more abuse than a conventional tranny's like in a car or truck. Also since it is "wet clucth"you don't want broken down fluid and tiny metal fibers lubricating your tranny and clucthes for a long period of time. That is why tranny fluid is frequntly changed.

I guess your right i could of put that in a better way and NO, I was not saying that he was stupid as a person. Its just that others and myself will agree that it is a "stupid" move to get a warranty on a quad, especially a banshee. Unfortunatly many people buying a new quad feel that a warranty is a good idea but they really don't know that its going to live up to thier expectations. I am still going to have to disagree with welding the crank with only having pipes, especially if its a new bike. Everbody whether rider, dealer, machinist is going to have a different opinion. I know that majority of people who just have pipes and filter do not have thier crank welded. I can't see someone that would waste the money and or time on taking a brand new engine apart to weld a crank just for pipes. Yes, cranks still fail, even stock but there are always going to be engines that are not broken in correctly, insufficent oil ratio, bikes that are lemons, etc... By saying that i am giving " bad info " is not true its just my opinion. Down the road if they bump up the comp., porting, and what not then the crank should be welded. Majority of people that just have pipes and a filter do not have thier crank welded nor would they waste money at that point in time. -

If you look in the owners manual and i think on yamaha's website it states that there is no warranty's on a banshee. Anyone who buy's a waranty on a banshee is stupid. It is just another way for the dealer to make a few more hundred dollars. Even with othrer quads if you go to get your shit warantyed the dealer is gonna jerk you and make up some bullshit and say that it dosen't cover your problem and you end up paying full price with the chance that you might save a few dollars. I've know people that where in this situation. It is unnessasary to weld a crank if you just have pipes In all don't buy a waranty on a quad its a waste of money. -
Have any of you ever even been to new york city? First of all if you ever been to train station's like grand central and penn station yes people do use the bathrooms. They are alot of people comming and going and you would be surpised how many people use the restrooms. With that new law about the restrooms it doesn't effect society or anything else. There are so many different kinds of people from all over whether it be traveling, buisness, etc. that everyone one minds thier own buisness and does there own thing. If you went to one of the big subway stations i bet you couldn't even pick out someone like that because there so many people going where there going. Its real funny when people say how they would carry a gun if they where in the city. Its a joke if your minding your own buisness and not acting like a dick nothings gonna happen. People think the city is so bad and you have to protect yourself but its not as bad as people picture it. There are good and bad places/neigborhoods where everyone lives. FYI : If you never been to n.y city its def. worth the trip, and don't worry leave your gun at home.

The 400ex is a good quad a bunch of my friends have them. they are a little slow on acceleration but they have a decent topend speed. By far they are the best quads for stunting and doing wheelies . You can do 12'' oclk wheelies as long as you want, they have the best center of gravitry. They are probrably the best when it comes to reliability. If you go to the address in my signature you will see me and 4 of my friends doin a wheelie on a 400ex

That black color it comes in is staight up pimp. This quad is def. nice because of the EFI and its the only 450 to have reverse, its gonna come in handy because alot of people are going to be riding trails. If i was gona buy a 450 this black one would be it.

From what i know there are no states that allow quads to be street legal. There are some town's usally in rural area's that are "Quad Friendly" and you can ride around the streets and throughout town. When it snows by me everyone rides quads on the streets. Me and like ten of my friends ride in the snow passing cops all the time they won't even hesitate to do anything as long as you follow the rules of the road, all of us even parked in front of the pizza place and ate lunch and at least two cops passed by. This topic always comes up in conversation. It would great if they could make them street legal. It would take alot of money and politics to do so. So i don't think it would happen especially with all those tree huggers.

Newbie here - 06 Banshee or 06 YZF450 ?
NY350twin replied to BigBeez's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Your best bet would be if you new someone who had each quad and ride both and see how you like both of them. Someone can describe the diffrences between the two and four stokes, but honestly you gotta try it for yourself. Unfortunatlly not that many people have friends that have different quads to test out and see what suites them. Since i live on the east coast i also do alot of trail riding. I would recommend the 4- stroke, because its alot more comforatable riding for long distances, and less riding fatique. And i would really recommend getting a quad with reverse bec. when trail riding your always gona have to turn around , plus it helps you to get unstuck if your in a tight situation. The raptor 700 would be the best choice, or get a 400ex and with the money saved you could hook up the 400 with exhaust, skids, tires, etc.... -

Out on long island ( Suffolk County ) there is two tracks one in bohemia and one in yapank. I heard that they are mostly geared for dirt bikes but you can still ride there , also i think its a little expensive. But at least there not that fare , prob. a little over an hour from the city.

Those are mud sharks, gangsta tires but to bad they don't make them anymore. I would ike to get some myself but for a good price.
-
Nebraska tire.com sells realtors for $37.50 a peice. Its a really good mud/dirt and snow tire. its got a real aggresive tread. Plus the tread pattern is reversable. Some might say they are heavy bec. they come in a 22 inch tire. You want to have the extra weight, better traction, It'll give your quad more ground clearance, and the taller tire gives you more top speed which in all is ideal for snow.

East coast mines ?, im usally down every weekend to go riding . def like to check out that wading river spot or any others you know of on the island. Send me a message or e-mail or something if you wanna go riding some weekend. Just went to PARAGON in PA 2 weeks ago so i don't feel like traveling off the island for a couple weeks or so. Paragon is a great experience except for all those mtf rocks everywhere and the when i went it was out of control there was so much mud everywhere.
