Yea, my quad and others I've owned whether 2 or 4 stroke always a sputter a little when first driven after a 2min warm up. The engine just has to get up to operating tempatures and some engine load and your fine.

If the thread tape does not work, which is prob. gonna happen just buy a retap kit. There really inexpensive and should be at your local auto parts store.

Anyone run the transmission fluid, If so which one the atf or the synchromax, and how do you like it. Thanks

You can go to a 13 tooth sprocket in the front, stock being 14 t . Or instead of doing gears but will co$t a little more and loose some ground clearance would be to run 18 inch tires in the rear. Any of these mods are gonna give you more acceleration but less top speed,but either should be what your looking for.

a friend of mine put a kawi 80cc in a go kart. He had to make custom motor mounts and a shifter. It worked for a little while because the motor mounts would get loose and then the clucth eventually burnt out because of all the extra weight , especially since it was a 2seater go kart. Overall it was pretty cool, it was more fun to drive on the street though.

One thing you should try is a compression test. Maybe its time for a new Top end.

The most simplest and cheapest would have to be to drop one tooth or so on the front sprocket, it will give you more acceleration but less top end.

"STOCK" - the way the quad came out of the factory, Like if you buy it brand new, that means no aftermarket parts. ?????????

From personal experience stock for stock and riding both machines, it really comes down who is the better rider.

I would deff. researce the VIN #'s and check it out, bec. if Mr. police officer wants to make sure your ride is legit and the vin come up stolen your gona loose you shit and be in posession of stolen property or if the frame is powdercoated and the VIN's are covered its gonna be nearlly impossible to get it back.I don't know how much this guys asking but if your getting a loan threw the bank thier going to need a title to puit a lien on and might want you to register and insure it wicth you gonna need a title for. Unless your getting a personal loan which doesn't matter if you have a title or not but are also gonna be harder to get approved for. Aleast thats how things work in my neck of the woods.

This question really has to do with where you live. If you live on the west coast your probrably gonna ride Sand. If you live on the east coast like me your probrably gona ride more dirt and trails. bec the most amount of sand is gonna be a pit, land under development, or the beach and both are very limited. So its really a East vs. West coast thing.

To help you out on the launch you should start out in second gear. When i just got my banshee i raced my friends yzf , stock vs. stock and rider ability relativley equal. And by me launching it out of second i would beat him every time dirt, street, whatever. The diference is night and day.

I sell MOTHERS products at work, and from my customers and from personal experience its a pretty good product. They all so make the MINI powerball with extension , it works better and gets in alot of tight spaces. This one perfect for cleaning the quad.

If you dont know this already, when you drag you gotta start out in 2ND GEAR . Learn and practice launching it out of second and the difference will be night and day.

Me and my boys are planning a trip to Paragon. Just wanted to ask some ?'s 1. what kind of terrain, regular trail riding, any fast trails, sandy, muddy, rocky, etc.. , do you need skid plates? 2. what are some rules besides the obvious , like do you need a flag. 3. how much does it cost. 4. And realy the most important how do safe is it to stay overnight at a hotel, with the quads outside on the truck. 5. And finally do how do you rate the place from 1-10, ten being the best. basically is it def. worth going to. THanks

During the winter time i filled up and rode all night threw a couple of different towns. I would say that with a full tank and moderate drivng "ranging from crusing in 6th to a couple full throttle pulls" i would say possibly to 20-30 miles on one tank. But you can't be sure bec. of different set ups, mods, condtion of vec. , and driving style the engine should be fine as long as you don't hold the revs to long in one spot or to high.

It would def. need some heavy modifacation considering Diesel engines don't run off spark plugs, its all compression

I live out in selden, Suffolk county. Yea i have some friends that live out in ridge and they said there some nice spots out there. But they said its risky because "DEC" and or cops are always in thier with quads, chasing and impounding quads. I would def. like to meet up if you know the trails and a safe place to park. I want to find other spots to ride bec. i usally go to exit.56 of exp. way but that spot is just used and abused. I know of some ill places to go but there just to risky. i really like to check out the pine barrens, riverhead,and out east bec. i heard its awesome out there. I would def get me and all my boys to come meet up for a ride, always. but with the impound fees starting at first offense $600 2nd $1500 and third they take it away i would want to be sure its some what legit. Anybody know of good riding spots on long island that are some what legit, preferably suffolk county.
