I would recomend a timing plate from ricky statir, delta v-force 2s or 3s ( i like 2s). Then I would save up for a 12 port big bore from Jeff @ Fast :thumbsup:

If you still have the tors system go ahead and remove it and replace it with a motion pro or some ecevlent (sp?). Then clean your carbs while you at it and it should be all good. Also check the pilot for it could have loosened up

Been trying to sell the 02 banshee for around 2k. No one seems to want it. It needs some minor work. But I am thinking ofparting it out. What is a good running engine worth? It has vitos pistons in it other wise stock. What is a good rolling chassis worth? Please no B.S. awsners!

Last time I went to the dunes my banshee was broke and I only used 10 gallons of fuel in 2 days of riding :yelrotflmao: Dang 400 gets good mileage. The banshee I coulod go through about 3 gallong every 1.5 or 2 hours

My banshee did the same thing. But once it warms up it would quit. did you let it warm up? What i think.....during the summer fuel/oil crap dries inside the pipes. when you start it up in the winter all the condensation cleans out the pipes in a way. Mine would blow crap out for a long time maybe almost 10 mins before stopping. Just a guess

As for home, I have about every tool. On the road I grab a tool kit from crafstman that has like 250 PCs in it. Wreches, sockets, plyers, needle nose. ect. then I grab some speciaty tools. Snap ring plyers for the pipes, special wrenches I have made for certain things. Extra extenstions. and a jack and a hammer. zip ties and duct tape too

I am located 20 miles west of Fort Wayne indiana. What I have: 2002 Banshee. Good Overall shape but needs work. I parted out most of my aftermarket parts. I was going to put the stock pipes back on and never got around too it. it needs jetted for them. Just have too much crap going on and its cold outside. lol. It ran good. I have 3 years on this engine. Been raced in XC events. I will be truthful it has overheated a few times. But it still runs good. seems to have good compression. It has Vitos forged pistons, adjustible timiing plate, Delta V-force reeds. Other wise it is a stock engine. O yea bigger stator and lightened flywheel. Its is peices but I can run it for a sec for you without the pipes just to proove it has spark and will fire. the bottom end it good, never had any problems since I bought it brand new in 2002. I will also throw in alot more thing with it. Rear ITP Race rims with razr tires Front ITP rims with Razr tires 2 sets of stock pipes Moose hand guards Bunch of stock stuff Misc stuff can't really think of it all lol. Here is a very recent pic of it sitting in the barn GWC Stem +1 Tag Bars Might have some more bars laying around DG Belly Skid (Almost new) Steel Rims w/Pure Sport Realtors, 3/4 Tread, I have no clue if they hold air 8 Inch Rim DG Swing Arm Skidplate ^^^Some of this stuff is brand new still ^^^ new front and rear brake still in package make me some offers. Well my dealer (who I trust very much known the guy forever) just became a Ams dealer. they raced a banshee in the 12 hour race 2 years ago with it. They used ams oil and never had a problem. He loved it so After doing my engine work I stalled a new clutch with hinson basket and used the same oil they did. so yes I did use the correct oil. I then used a barnett clutch. Clutch slipped, went to a CP, BP or somethi0ng like that. it was expensice though and it fried that one too. Then I switch oils and all was good. Maybe it has to do with clutches too>? not sure but nether me or my friend are ams oil fans. My friend is also mechianicaly inlclined so I wouldn't think he would make any stupid mistakes.

My buddies blew his quad up twice. (could have been user error not sure not my quad) But I ran it in my tranny and it kept socking into my clutch plates and making them slip. Switch too maxima 80wt and never had a problem. also I use Yamalube 32:1 in my gas and never had problems ether
