  1. a new GSXR 1000 will do 104 in first gear. its a strong motor. i would not go under a liter nmotor either. let me know how it turns out
  2. are you wanting to keep shiny plastics shiny or clean up some scratche up plastics? if they are pretty grody i have used PC Renew and that stuff worked great. even took the fade out of the plastic
  3. i think that if all you are gonna do is jsut staright line drag racing you dont need nerf bars. if your are like me and so some mx'ing you might want to keep them on.
  4. im running the gnarlys on mine and i have the same problem wiht them rubbin gon the same hose. i wrapped that section of pipe wiht some exhasut wrap jsut to be a lil more on the safe side but i havent had any problems yet
  5. man you can try using some brake cleaner i think or gently scrapin git off. thats jsut my opinion. ask aroudn though. i dont see why that work but i have been wrong before.
  6. yeah man i got a t-maxx. its pretty bad ass when it is in one piece. they are a lot of fun though. big money pit though. have any of yall ever did the supercharger or the nitrous kits for them? Im also looking at buying a jato or the hpi truggy(cant think of the name) any feedback would be appreciated
  7. i think that the 10th alpha-numeric digit also corresponds to the year model on autos as well
  8. ok i thought i had her dialed in but when i went to run her this weekend i found out otherwise. pulls hard through first and second but as soon as i grab third and punch it again it cuts out just momentarily and then revs damn good. not sre what that is. it only does it though when i depress the clutch all the way. if i jsut tap the clutch and shift like in serious drag racing it doesn't do it. i dont remember what the plugs look like after that day of riding. my mods are in my sig and it didn't do that wihtin the first 8 hours or so of riding what said mods. what yall think? :shoothead:
  9. damn... duneroller beat me to it
  10. ok is there anything i can do to stiffen up the rear plastic? i would shave it but its brand new and a 50th aniv. kinda like it. im starting to get stress marks though and i want to stiffen them up a lil bit.
  11. yeah those are the ones. where can i get some or who makes them or what are they called. sorry i have been gone so long. i was out of pocket for a couple of weeks
  12. man u are running so much more air into the carbs and motor know it doesnt have enough gas to run. you need to rejet. not sure where to jet it at though. ask some of the other guys on here what they are running with that setup. they can help you out. if you dont know how to rejet eihter take it to a stearlership or ask someone to do it for you. i see you are from texas and so am i. i can rejet it for you if u want just let me know.
  13. please enter me
  14. u can get an outwears filter cover. they have them that go around the airfilter(s) or the top of the airbox. it will stop some water but it isnt going to stop it if you go swimming wiht the thing if you know what i mean. ronnies.com sells them or do a search on here. there might be someone selling them.
  15. :baseball_bat: ok i saw a set of wheels at a stealership and i jsut have to have them. only thing is that i dont know what the name of the dealership was or where it was. we were on a road trip and i know i was at least 5 hours from home. they were black wiht chrome highlights. the big kicker is that they looked like they had a maltese cross milled or something like that into the wheel. freagin billy bad ass wheels if you ask me. yes i know the maltese cross is old but im an old school guy so there you go. if any1 has some info or can point me in the right direction i sure would appreciate it.
  16. yeah man i have been to the la dunes many a times. pretty nice place. should be going back soon. i want to go to little sahara though. hear it is even better. anyone been there?
  17. :baseball_bat: ok i live about abn hour west of Houston and am tired of only having a few (3) places to ride. is there anywhere in the houston area or close to ride? my shee is tired of not being able to let other 4 pokes know the power of oil in the gas.
  18. man i dont know how it is up there for yall yanks lol j/k but down here in texas as you can do it. just have to have only 3 wheels instead of four cause a motorcycle is anything wiht 2 or 3 wheels. blinkers and stuff included.
  19. so whats the story man? is it jetted right now?
  20. man i am in no way calling you a liar but when i got mine i really really had no bottom end. you would have to slip the clutch bad or jsut pin it and dump it. maybe its like i say i am the poster boy for murphy's law. and yes i forgot to even think about the carbs loading up. you are exactly right. thanx for correctin me man.
  21. ill give it the ole college try. sign me up please!
  22. man it sounds to me like it could be one of 2 things. have you done any mods to it? if so list them. if you are just chugging along in secong gear then pin the throttle it probably will bog just because its a 2-stroke and a stock shee has no low end at all. if you have some mods on it you might want to check to make sure it is not running lean. one easy way to check is to warm it up real good then run it with full choke. if it runs better then it is lean. you can also do a plug chop to figure out what is going on inside there. let me know how it turns out oh yeah i gorgot your other questions. lol. no you do not have to completely remove the carbs if they are flooded. you can let them sit there for a while and it will fix themselves. or you can pull the choke out i believe it is and pin the throttle to start it. if that doesn't work right away then stop so you dont make it worse. when i start it cold i pull the choke out and give it a lil gas. they are really easy to start once u get the hang of it. make sure you keep some extra plugs around in case you foul them out. tightening the rear shockwill not keep the bottom of the swingarm from bottoming out. that is controlled more or less by tire heighth. the shock jsut controls your preload and rebound. about the only thing you can do to fix the bottoming out of the swingarm is to get taller tires and run alot of psi in them. any questions jsut holla :shoothead:
  23. i dont know man those headers look like gnarlys. as far as the year model look at the vin# tenth digit or letter. once you figure out what it is call your dealer and tell them and they can tell you. a 1995's 10th digit would show the letter "S". post on here when you find out what it is and ill let you know what year
  24. :baseball_bat: ok i got her going jsut right. well a little rich but almost perfect. 300 mikuni mains stock pilots 1 turn out on air screw stock needle on #3 groove GOOD LUCK MAN
  25. ok i think i understand what you are talking about but not sure that i will do that just yet.
