  2. ok, i guess what i am trying to say is that as soon as i put that stuff in mine it started to leak. i guess it is jsut because i am a poster boy for murphy's law. did not mean to get everyone's feathers ruffled plus a reputable mechanin in my area told me that that was most likely the problem. guess i just always had bad luck wih it in my blaster. :ermm:
  3. man you can go anywhere u want with the paint or pc u use. i would use a bright color like yellow or pink lol j/k. maybe do diffrent parts of the frame in diffrent colors.
  4. hey man i did not get a chance to screw with it over the weekend. jsut some fyi for you though. dont get a damn dynojet kit. it is pure crap. the dont give you the right jets for our setup. what i am gonna do is get some mikuni jets and use the stock needle. get some 300s 310s and 320s. that should put us in the right ball park. is you have a dynojet kit already remember that dynojet jets flow diffrent than mikuni jets. im gonna try a stab at it tonight. here is a list of what i have tried already that did not work: stock carb settings and airbox wiht jsut pipes runs perfect( if i remember right) 280 dynojetmains with dyno needle and clip on 4th groove, kand n with prefilter and no airbox lid (it was running lean through the gears) went to 340s and it would backfire like no tommorow so then i dropped the needle to grooves and it would run good on choke telling me that it was lean. my headers are now crap from being burnt. there went 500 dollars of exhaust lol. just for shits and giggles i put the stock filter and lid back in and stayed with the 340s and now i can tell it is deinately too too too rich! but hey at least its not screwing up my headers. ill let youknow what happens when im through i with my next jet change.
  5. man i am in the same boat! i have pulled the carbs about 10 diffrent times trying to get something right. i get one side right but the other end is pure crap. i am running the same setup you said but i have the lid off. as soon as i get it done this weekend i will let you know. ill post again on here tuesday when i am back
  6. ok new info here. my mechanin that races 2-stroke dirt bikes told me to mix 50-50 race regular fuel and that will clean up how the bike runs. comments?
  7. ok thanx to everyone that helped me get it jetted right. it runs so much better. ok next item on the agenda is what kind of fuel and ratio? i was thinkoing about running VP C-12 100% or a 50/50 mix of that with premium. will i have any advantages or disadvanteges? i want to run motul oil in it as well. what kind of ratio? im looking or engine life but not as much as i want the power. im running a 42:1 mix right now. mods include: Kand N with prefilter in the stock airbox with lid removed fmf gnarly headers with power core 2 silencers carbs jetted with a dynojet kit using 340 mains, clip on #2 groove stock pilots and 2 turns out on air screw also all i ever hear about are toomey and other brand pipes. did i screw up by buying the full fmf system or are they a good pipe or what?
  8. ok fellas, im looking for one more color that will go good wiht the black/yellow paint of the 06 shee. i want to stay away from chrome as much as possible cause i know from my street bike that chrome looks good only if it is on someone elses bike and i dont have to keep it clean lol. yes i know black and yellow or gold T-2 handlebars will work. but im looking for jsut one other color to like paint my hubs and little odd and end stuff.
  9. about your headers not giving you any clearence against your hose, one solution like i did is to take exhaust wrap and wrap your pipe. you can wrap the whole pipe or just that spot.
  10. ok this might be the wrong forum to ask about this in but where can i get one of those little rectaungular pics of my shee that takes up the bottomof my post. those are so freagin trick!! do i have to make one or is there some kind of wizard on here that can make me one?

LOOK HERE!!! just so you know, AV gas especially if ti is low lead or LL will eat your your gaskets away if you leave it in there to long. make sure you drain ALL fuel out of your carbs if you are gonna let it sit for a while and run reg fuel through it. be careful though with making sure you get that out of there as well befor you crank it back up. why dont u go to your VP dealer and get some U-14 i think it is. its got to have more of a punch since it is oxygenated or he can tell you which fuel would be a better alternative that av fuel.
  12. that damn tors is gonna be the death of me. is there a fast fix to get rid of it while i try to find an eliminator for it or am i screwd til lone comes in. point me in the right direction where i should look for one to
  13. ok fellas, im looking at buying that h bomb front bumper. its black with the h bomb monkey on it and its eyes glow red. has anyone seen it on a shee? im running the 06 50th aniv colors and i think it might look pimp on it. any feedback is welcome.
  14. jsut an idea, i have used high heat engine block paint on some of my stuff like a arms and swingarm. you can get it in diffrent colors and stuff. i have had it on there for about a year or so running through pastures and MX tracks and i still haven't had to touch it up yet
  15. man if i were you i would go wiht the special edition. its the last year for the shee so why not go otu wiht a bang? the white looks trick and there are a lot of other colors that you can match wiht it when you buy accessories. the black looks mean but any little boot scratch will show. the blue is ok i guess. jsut doesn't do the banshee justice.
  16. the headers should be straight through with now baffling. i take that back they are straight through. the silencers on the other hand have baffling and packing inside them. if you are running fmf cans you cna pull them apart to repack them and if so desired clean them out. make sure that you clean the outside of the exhaust with a rubbing alcahol or something similar to get off all oil or finger prints otherwise onec the pipes get hot the oil will be burned into the pipes.
  17. ok i got to thinking and now let me riddle you this. Can i drop the needle or not drop the needle and put a biiger pilot (27 or 30) to keep the 340 mains wiht the k and n and no air box LID. Or should i go back to the 270s or 280s and just fiddle with the air screw. with the 280s in and 2.5 turns out on the air screw it is running lean on the top. all that freagin dynojet has supplied me with is 270, 280, and 340 mains wiht their needles. so i am trying to make due with what i have. i guess i am getting antysy because im tired of my buddy giving me crap on how is raptor is faster. anyways sorry about that. let me know what yall think

  19. ok i just got yalls replys about what a plug chop is and thank you for that. that is something intresting to know and i will try it out asap. last night i just went with putting a 340 main in. this is no joke, if i just breathe, yes breathe, on the throttle it goes to at least 1/2 throttle if not more instatnly. I got awesome throttle response now but it is so damn touchy. it also backfires like no tommorow. im sure this is a sign of running rich. cna i fix that by dropping the needle down in farther. i also went another turn out on the air screw making it 3.5 tourns out. I APPRECIATE YALLS HELP SO MUCH YALL HAVE NO IDEA!!!
  20. ok i know i am dumb for not knowing what this is but what is a plug chop? the dynojet kit said to use a 280 main for my settings but it runs like crap on the top and bottom. the blueing concerned me cause it has happened wihtin 3 minutes of riding it and my pipes on the my blaster have never blued.
  21. im at about sea level no more than 500 feet asl. i live close to the gulf of mexico in texas so the riding temp is usually around 80 to 110. i am still running the airbox but no lid. I have a 340 main im goign to put it in but do i need to adjust the needle or the pilot?
  22. :: all right fellas. got a few questions. im running an 06 shee with a k and n, prefilter, full fmf gnarlys and power core 2 silencers, no air box lid. dynojet kit using 280 mains and 4th groove needle. i know my shee is lean but dont know where to fix it at. dang pipes have already blued at the exhaust port. its slugish on the bottom but not sure if thats because its a shee and it falls on its face when pinned in 4th and 5th. middle of 3rd she pulls hard and strong. any and all help will help me cause we are leaving for the dunes at the end of the week!
