  1. i ride wiht a guy that has them on his raptor 700. seem to hook up very well. they do throw a hell of a roost too. i think i still prefer a straight paddle but i cant knock it till i try it you know what i mean
  2. well so you know, for about every 5 stickers you gain about 2 horsepower. not sure though since i dont have a dyno handy. lol j/k. best bet is to look up graphics kits on the web or ebay. this is also a member on here that can make you some custom graphics. someone else help me out please. welcome to the HQ!
  3. yeah i did a plug chop and it seems to be good. insulator was white with a good ring at base and the electrode was "burnt" or whatever you call it to where it starts to bend back into the plug
  4. ok whenever i am hard on the go-fast button and shift the motor seems to miss. it will make a pop, fall on its face breifly then take of strong. this is all under full throttle conditions only letting off to shift. is this a needle adjustment or do i need to rejet everything?
  5. Hey me and about 7other people here from central Texas are heading to the Louisiana dunes on August 4th and 5th. Just wanted to put a feeler out and see if anyone else would be there. Like to finally meet some of yall from the HQ since yall help me so much. Also anyone been there lately? I thought i heard somewhere that they arent as good as they were a few years ago or so.
  6. ok a few more questions: 1.) i want to keep this build as much as a bolt on as possible. if i go without the 5mm longer rod will i have to cut my head and get porting? i will get porting eventually but just not in the budget right now. 2.) will i have to get the cool head now without the 5mm rod? 3.) if i have to go with the cool head which domes should i get? im not looking for more compression. still want to run pump gas if possible. can i go wiht the 22cc domes or is there a sepcial dome to use wiht the short stroker kit? 4.) i have fmf gnarly headers. i know these arent the best pipes in the world probably for this setup but the question is can i still run them and not dmage the new motor? 5.) if i go wiht the short stroker can i still use the stock pistons? thanks in advance for all yalls help
  7. so you can't run the PIAA light kit that you can get from yamaha wiht the stock stator? am i reading this right?
  8. ok so i got an o6 shee that needs some more go fast stuff on it. gonna stroke it. questions: 1.) im gonna put the 4 mil stroker with 5mm long rod in it from hot rods. do i need to have it welded or does it come welded already? 2.) is there anything else like bearings and such i need to replace while i am in there? 3.) what else does installing this stroker require me to do? can i still run everything else stock besides jetting and such? 4.) do i need to do any modifications to install this? 5.) with just the stroker can i still run pump gas? i would sure appreciate yalls help on helping me stroke it!

  10. i have a 1985 honda 350x atc i am parting out. the frame is trash but the motor is still strong and still everything works except the headlight bulbs are blown. the case has a leak as well but will go a whole day of riding or two wihtout having to had oil. no time to fix it so if anyone wants to do some swapping let me know of just buy it

  12. i have a set of 10" paddles that have like 3 uses on them in sand only, never been on hard pak. still in excellent shape. they are a stright paddle design. i am looking for a straight paddles in good shape that will fit my stock 9" rims. any takers?

  14. dude i think we go through sulphur when we head to the dunes in forrest hill. we come from the houston area on I-10 then cutt of on exit 44. we are planing a trip over ther soon. have to give you a shout. im not from beaumont but i visit there often

  17. im fixing to get new silver colored plastic and i want to do red bull graphics on it. that or i will use blue, not yamaha blue but a deeper blue. hwere can i get some red bull graphics at? are they available? can someone on here make them for me?
  18. my buddy had douglass blue and black labels on his craptor and he bent the shit out fo them. then again he cant jump worth a damn but it looked like a tin can in the hand of midget on crank. it was all fouled up. we now both run the c-series now and we havent had a prob since. he has had his over 2 years now.
  19. not to be a jackass or anything but the R6 is not the most advanced bike out. the R1 has adjutable velocity stacks. the new Gixxer 1000 has selectable fuel maps the can be slected at the right thumb. the 929 aint no joke but it will only go as fast as you twist the throttle. i prefer the gixxer lineup over the yamaha. much much more comfortbale ride. not alot of saddle time on the 929 but enough on the 900. very very comfortable bike for me but then again im only 5' 9". the ducati if your intrested in one, is a fun bike to ride but the egronomics of it for me are to agressive for normal everyday riding. a ducati of the same class porbably wont outrun a jap bike but is like my buddy said " you can have a corvette that will pretty much spank everything out there from across the pond except the super sport exotic cars and you can get it for cheaper but it still aint a lamborgini" just find the bike that you are comfortable on and go wiht it. that price sounds about right
  20. if you bought the bike new from a dealership you can get a new key made. if you have the key number, which should be on the setup sheet and your papers as well, that would help tremenosuly. if not i think it is possible to get a key from yamaha by using the vin number but im not sure. someon on here might have an ignition that they want to sell as well.
  21. ok here they are. what do yall think? these plugs probably have about 2-4 hours on them, plus i just added V3 reeds and cages

  24. im looking for a set of 8" wheels so i can run my paddles or either a set or blaster/banshee/yfz hubs.
  25. ok so we had the first session fo this series yesterday. i did alright i guess. first run i bogged out of the hole then missed second and thne couldnt grab 4th. anyone who ran the right lane didnt have a chance it was so torn up but we all had a ton of fun. second run i went up against a banshee wiht the same exact mods i had except he was running paddles. i edged him out by about 1 foot! best race i have ever had. every tiem one of us would grab agear the other would pull ahead. i just got him in the end when he grabbed 6th. the last run i had i lost out to a guy running a GSX-R750 notor in a quad frame! anyways, if yall want to come out its the last sunday of every month till the end of june.
