  1. Stock swingarm length 215ish both but lean more towards drag race not ported till next year
  2. Ok so i got my long rod 4mil stroker in and now im looking for some paddles. Last year wiht jsut the stock motor i couldn get any traction wiht staright paddles but they were some cheap cheap paddles though. I think they were made by kenda. Anyways, FMF Gnarlys, v-force reeds, Hot Rods 4mil +5rod stroker 15t front and up 1 on the rear gearing. What kind of skat traks should i get? I dont need the latest and greatest jsut something with decent traction. I was thinking the haulers or such. We only go to the dunes about once a year so im nott looking to spend crap loads of money on these things. My wheel sizes are either 9 or 10 inch. how many paddles should i run on the tire as well? I know this kind of question will get 50 diffrent answers on which is better but at least it will give me somewhere to start from. Myabe one of yall has a set for sale? Thanx for the help
  3. i figured out whats going on. They are the correct pistons. Not sure if they are weisco relabels or not though. Wrist pin is moved up 5mm. Alls i need is the hot rods gasket kit and diffrent domes and i am set. Thanx for you help man. I guess i jsut had to much shit going through my head that i was trying to make it more difficult than it really is heres to you:beer:
  4. So what you are saying is that the hot rod pistons will not work? It seems to me that since they ( hot rods) sells the pistons speicfically for that crank and the banshee that it would be for the most part the correct pistons? i can see spacer palte and timing but not pistons
  5. somebody correct me if i am wrong but dont you just remove the screws holding in the stock reeds and replace them?
  6. here is the setup i got Hot Rods 4mm storker crank w/+5mm rod Hot Rods piston kits Cool Head w/20cc domes stock bore stock carbs (minus jetting of course) stock jugs VF3 cages and reeds FMF gnarlys and silencers Ok so i know that the the gnarlys arent the best choice of pipes for this setup but they will ahve to do for now. Questions 1) If i remember correctly the Hot Rods pistons have the wrist pin moved up 5mm. Is this true and if so what does that mean as far as motor displacement? 2) Can i run the 20cc domes that i was using before i put the stoker in or do i need to get diffrent ones? 3) Do i need to run a spacer plate and if so what size? 4) Do i need any thing else to make the stroker and piston set up fit and not have any clearance issues? 5) How will my port timing be affected(will it run at all or will it have power at bottom only or no power at all or ...?) 6) If i do have everything i need (or once i get spacer plate or what might be needed) can i run this setup with success? (i.e. is it a absloute must to get diffrent exaust and carbs? I am not looking to break speed records i just want to ride the damn thing) I do really appreciate yalls putting up with me and all my questions. Thanks in advance for any and all help yall can give me!
  7. ok so i have a new 5mm long rod stroker crank on the way. im gonna weld it but i was wondering if i really have to send it off to get it done or can i use my TIG and just fuse the web to the crank with just the heat and not adding metal or is it more complicated than that? if that is a route i can take is it neccessary to fuse it all the way around or can i just do it in several spots?
  8. i probably wont get the 4 mil for another year or so! do i need to still get it ported now or can i wait and get it done when i tear it down to put the crank in? im trying to minimize down time as much as possible since its prime riding season now. also, do i need to get the timing plate now fo the cool head or can i hold off for the stroker?
  9. ok i have an opportunity to either get a prodesign or a modquad coolhead for dirt cheap! i want to eventually put a 4 mil stroker in her but i couldnt find coolhead domes for a 4 mil stroker that fit the pro design head. modquad offers domes for the 4 mil stroker. does this make a diffrence? i also want to run pump gas if possible but i will run race or 50/50 if neccessary. also looking at getting a play port done as well but i will be puttin time on the banshee before i get the port job done. i am basically sea level elevation in central texas. so what size domes so i need or should i run? shold i get the prodesign or modquad head? what else do i need to do just to install the cool head? thanx for the help fellas
  10. dont put it on! sell it or use it as a paper weight. i had one on my blaster and all it did was cost me a top end. the boot where it slips into cracked and it started running to lean and burned it up
  11. i cant find them right now but as soon as i do i will post them
  12. you stole my thunder. check your tire pressures. i had the same problem and one front tire was alot lower than the other
  13. Congratulations are in order to hotrodbanshee (Clayton) for taking 2 first place wins at the first Mud Buddy's drag race series! He won the 2-Stroke and the Open class. I actually let him win since he had to drive farther than me to get there but thats another story :yelrotflmao: Good job man but i will be taking those trophies from you next year!
  14. ok so i got my hide a key in today and i went to install it but i realized that i might have to splice wires or strip all the tape of the wiring harness so that i have enough slack to allow the switch to reach the hide a key bracket. is this right? will it reach or am i just being a pussy?
  15. does the wiring diagram described above apply as well to the PIAA lights that you can buy through yamaha?
  16. blinker fluid...lol...well there are some Fords like the explorer i think it is that have the rear wiper for the glass that you actually have to take off the tailight, which houses the blinker, and fill the fluid there. FYI
  17. if your 120/80-19 is the stock tire size then you can go with either 3 of your above mentioned sizes. the diffrneces are that the 110 range tires are the next size smaller in width than the 120s. the next number measeures the tire height (not rim heigth) in relation to though width. a 90 will be jsut a hair taller than a 80. all 3 will fit. someone correct me if i am wrong please. you should be able to get a 120/80-19 from our website wiht 17% off if you order through the webiste. hope this helps LINK Columbus Cycle Shop
  18. ok so i got my vapor computer thing in yesterday. havent actually got to isntalling the speed sensor yet but they had several diffrent ways that you can do it? can anyone else that has this system give me some guideance on this?
  19. any takers? i dont wont to be the only banshee out there
  20. Not to step on any toes or anything but i would disagree that a Raptor 350 is a better bike than a blaster. Yeah its more refined for rider comfort and has more modern engineering thatn the blaster but have u ever ridden a Raptor 350? If you ask me they are a joke! No power in my opinion and not as much fun to ride. Why spend twice as much for a new four wheeler tht wont be as much fun as a used one that has tons of parts availabel for it. An added bonus is that if you want to teach your child how to work on the bike, a 2-stroke is the best way to go IMO. you can have the entire top-end off and back together in less than probably 2 hours! Try that wiht a raptor 350. yeah a blaster is louder but when your out playing on your quad are you really worried that someon 10 miles down the road might here some ring-a-ting-ting?! Go with the blaster, you will not regret it. Once your kid gets bigger you can get the motor ported or do a big bore kit. or maybe your kid would like to start drag racing. Blaster would be a great bike to modify for such. and cheaper than a 4-stroke. Ok i am off my soap-box now. sorry fellas lol
  21. hey ill give you $50 plus shipping right now for it
  22. gimmeabeer stole my thunder. try going to another dealership and talk to the service manager/writer there. or you can bring it here or shoot me a PM with the VIN and ill call yamaha and see what i can do. if you go to another dealership have the guy that handles the warranty claims call the tech line and tell him to get hold of Greg on the tech line. Greg is the shit and will usually good will it if is not "covered" under warranty. (Jasper should be in Greg's reigon) If not i am located about 80 miles east of houston. hope this helps
  23. the line runs out of the water pump cover up underneath the gas tank and i lost it from there. its on my 06 banshee. the blaster part comes in from when i did the oil pump block of kit on my blaster. the opening that it comes out of looks just like the opening where the oil pump would be on a blaster. same shape and bolt placement and everything.
  24. ok so i put on an EZ drain the other day and noticed a small line that hooks up 2 something that looks like what would be the oil pump on a blaster. is that what that is? do i need to worry about making sure that i got something line up behind that cover when i put it back on?
