  1. This winter i put on some studded snows on the front and back of my banshee. It was a total kick riding it where the sleds were coming and going. It was packed ice and you could pull wheelies with the studded snows on. Might try that 1st and see if it gets it out of your system. It did for me, but i couldnt go all the way up the mountain where the snow was to deep. Got to watch your engine temps to when your doing tons of spinning and not as much air moving through the radiator.
  2. big red has a used set for sale for 385.
  3. I would check the carbs and make sure their dialed in right. If so look at the reeds. Check compression as well.
  4. replace washer and see what happens
  5. Thanks for the input guys. looks like we be going somewhere else this trip to avoid tickets.
  6. does anyone know if cpi iinframe pipes need silencers for oregon coast riding? i dont know what the decibel rating is on them and dont want to leave extra moola in that state for loud pipes.
  7. were heading for florence on 3-12-3-17. Kinda stinks that were missing alot of the weekend but if anyone wants to hook up with us your more than welcome. Does anyone know a good place that is reasonably cheapo to stay at, preferably near the dunes like a Koa or something?
  8. the big piece of crap that sits on top of your carb, if you remove it jetting your carbs is a lot easier. Throttle overide system . vitos makes a replacement kit.
  9. hope your right. i was hoping for a new 2 choke that passes epa standards like the new polaris sleds. There is a sucker born every day - mabye today is my day, we will see.
  10. No kidding the new dirt wheels shows a twin 500 4 poke banshee. Check it out.
  11. put it on a honda site. lets keep this site about banshees.
  12. me and my buddy have pretty close setups and have run av gass for over a year and they still run great. I was having detonation problems with pump gass and the av gass gives me no issues. One of the local stealerships rags on av gass and wants me to buy his c12 but i see no need with the performance and reliability im getting. Buzz on
  13. $4 dollars is what i paid today.
  14. my buddy's stock cranshaft grenaded on him. Does anyone have an opinion on whos a good rebuilder of cranks that is reasonably priced.
  15. All i run in my woods shee is av gass . Works great and the price is cheap. Smell good to with klotz.
  16. look through this forum. there is a wiring diagram on here for you. I would double check the wires and make sure a wire isnt broke with a tester. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...;hl=wiring+diag let us know what you find. later erik
  17. check the slides in your carbs. make sure they are both bottoming out at the same time. my shee used to do that when the cable would hang up where the throttle cable splits and can be pulled out. I would go through the cable, it could be something else but i have had that happen to me as well and this is what it turned out to be. good luck erik
  18. on mine i measured the diameter of the hole and went to ace hardware. picked up a nut thats about 1 inch deep and dropped it in the hole, on the other end i slapped up the ratchet and it came right out.
  19. I dont have mine pulled but the pic in my clymer has the lower right corner circled on the reed stop as the area with the cut to match the reed. The picture is with the intake side being down and the petal stops being up in the air. If this makes any sense to ya. YOu might want to call farm and sand toys to be sure. Good luck http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/
  20. this guy has a great post http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47286 . I would check out the pilot jets and needle position. Mabye a clogged pilot or to low of needle. Check out his post it has a lot of info.
  21. call fmf and see what they recommend. Take it from there as a starting point then fine tune it.
  22. does your replacement reeds have a cut corner?
  23. if your replacing with yamaha oem reeds there should be a cut corner that you allign with the reed stop cut corner. I replaced mine with vitos carbon reeds and there was no cut corner to allign. So it depends
  24. if your talking about your slides in your carbs. The right side carb the one with the choke has a groove that has a indent the the idle screw goes into and holds it up. make sure that the groove and idle screw are hitting it in the proper spot. If it is you have it in the right side. Another way is to look at your slides with the air pod, or your air filter removed and be sure the cut out part of the slide is the part your seeing. If you have the cutout part facing your engine their backwards. IS your choke tube between the to carbs? and i hear you can get the bowls screwed up as well ie the right side on the left. I dont remember the difference between the 2 sides but I have heard this can cause problems.
