the left side when your sitting on it? I had my crank seal leak on the right hand side of my banshee when your sitting on it. The seal was leaking oil up through the piston and smoking like crap on the one side. If thats it you have to split the engine. If your oil goes down on your dipstick abnormally fast that could be the problem. Could be,

is it smoking out of both pipes? or is one side heavier than the other

sounds like its running rich, have you run that setup before with no problems, ie 340 mains same type of gass etc.

Am i following you right that your machine used to run faster before the 4mm stroker?

mine does that all the time if it starts to get hot. Like if im riding on ice and snow and spinning alot but not going fast the radiator doesnt cool without air movement through the fins. If im riding on dirt and hooking up it doesnt heat up hardly at all. So may try to rich it up some if your hooking up fine on dirt and still having that problem. Do you have a temp guage? There is one out there called heetseeker that is reasonably priced. http://www.warpdriveperformance.com/ . This can help you keep and eye on temps as well. Good luck

I have T6's on my woods banshee and they work great. I would go with t5's if you plan on porting or big bore,etc.

I have toomey t6's on my woods banshee and they do good with stock cylinders. If you think you will go beyond stock you may try t5's, I hear they handle big bores better than t6's. My $ .02.

I had the same thing on a used banshee that I bought. It turned out to be the crank seal was leaking tranny oil up through the piston. Be sure to watch your oil level so you dont run it out. You have to split the engine to do it right. Have your crank checked by a shop to be sure its true as well. Good luck

its unplugged already. I just have the crappy tors housing sitting on top of my carbs getting in the road. Vitos sells carb caps without the cable. Thats why im wondering if i can buy just the caps and not the cable.

anyone know if the tors kit works with a stock throttle cable?

is that the klotz that smells great? With caster oil. How long have you been doing that. My thought is I will be running the engine for a while to get to the places im going to play with it. Do you normally just race your then put it away, or do you screw around with it to.

Anyone mixing alky and what ratio are you using. I just picked up a alky banshee that runs great. The manual says to mix 6 oz klotz bealoil for every gallon of alky. I spoke to k&T and some guys that have a shop here in town and they say 3 to 4 of redline. Anyone have any thoughts?

Has anyone ever seen carbs sweat gass aroung the base where the gaskett is. I replaced the gasketts with new ones and they are both still sweating gass. It runs fine but picks up all sorts of dirt and crud when riding. Any input appreciated.

I was wondering what people thought of fmf vs toomey for a pipe. FMF SST vs toomey T6 or T5. I might be going with a big bore kit or cheeta cub down the road and Im wondering which pipe might work the best. Any input appreciated.

I have a truck that we can stand 2 four wheelers up in and rest on the grab bars. Has anyone heard of any issues with haulin fourwheelers this way? We run the gass out of the carbs first before standing them up. One friend of mine says its fine the other says it screws up the carbs. We have done this a few times with no probs but im wondering if anyone has had issues with transporting like this. Thanks

sounds like you need a new clutch.

I would try cleaning the head and replacing the oring set. Have you been into the head before. If you have a few times it might be time to replace the orings. Good luck

Im looking at a banshee with vitos 404 cylinders, ftz carbs, coolhead, and it runs on alky. Does anyone have a opinion on if alky is worth it?

do you know if toomey t6's work ok with that block or do i need cpi or something else
