  1. I thought the bike runs richer when it gets colder outside, well at least thats what the jetting diaghram says in my 2004 yz250 owners manuel. My owners manuel says temp- hot = leaner cold= richer altitude- higher=richer lower= leaner please help me because now I'm confused.
  2. That looks tight! I wish I could afford that setup right now! Looks easy to work on too!! Maybe I'll see someone with the 2 into 1 carb setup out on thanksgiving weekend and see how there shee runs I'll be at dumont if anyone will be there with this type of setup!

  4. did you change the jetting after you put the pipes and air filter on? If not thats your problem.
  5. I know buster, I just wanted to see if anyone thought it would be more! I still need to borrow you compression tester! I tried to put the bikes in my sig side by side but thats how it came out. I don't know why!
  6. I heard when you get your cylinders ported you loss compression, with an aggressive dune port how much compression should I expect to loss? Thanks in advance for any info! Chris
  7. I would look for a different banshee to buy! Unless you want to spend a lot of money! since the case just got broke just ask him to give it to you! That shee sounds like a headaches because its not be treated right!

I can't wait because my wife is going to smoke a lot of people out there!!! If she decides to ride!!!!! This is going to be my first weekend on the new banshee I just bought, I normally ride my yz250 and smoke everyone, I've only been beaten on the yz250 a couple of times out there!!!!!

Yes I've been before and for the most part I perfer dumont and I know a lot of other people that feel the same way, the only thing glamis has got going for it is there is so much more land space, but at all the cool places its so crowd it dangerous and I have kids that ride too so dumont is better for me!!!! Dont get me wrong I'm going to go to both places a lot!! I juust perfer dumont dunes!!

  12. You think its one plug until you cut the threads on a plug that has no color change or carbon build up on it then you have to do it again! BEOTCH!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Damn all that!!!! I just put new plugs in and do a couple of passes and then pull the plugs and by then if your not way lean the plugs should look like there starting to turn a light brown, not completely brown but should look like its starting to turn! What happens when you cut the plug and your lean then you move the jets up and do it again, thats a waste of spark plugs IMO!! Also if you're that scare the shee is going to blow up because of a couple of passes being lean then richen it up first, I think its better to start rich and then lean it out!!! Thats just me!
  15. Why would you go through all that trouble when you already know the shee is lean. I've never done that and all my bike are jetted perfectly!
  16. If your at sea level you'll need to go bigger on the main and pilot with your mods. I'm running a 360 main and a 30 pilot and 4th position on the needle thats with my mods in my sig, and that setup is for glamis dunes in southern california and sea level. I would try a 320 and 27.5 pilot and leave the needle, also when you did the plug chop how did the shee run? idle-1/4 throttle 1/4-3/4 throttle and wot any bogging, something just didnt seem right?
  17. I'm not really understanding the question. I may be stupid! I thought a plug chop is when you're trying to see if your shee is running rich or lean. I thought you get the shee into 6th gear and wot then you hit the kill switch then you pull the spark plugs and see what color they are, should be light brown and dry. I hope this helps or you can tell me I'm stupid and I'll shut the hell up!!!

  19. Yeah thats true ,but thats why I prefer dumont its has a lot of people but not as much as glamis, plus I think dumont has better duning, not as big as glamis but I think better dunes in general.
  20. If anyone will be out there you'll probably be able to see where we are camping because my dad just bought a 22 ft flag pole that goes on the top of his toy hauler and he also bought a big american flag. See you guys there!!!!!!!!!

  23. I'm selling my 2004 yz250 because I just bought the banshee in my sig and my wife wants me to sell my dirt bike I don't want to but I don't want to hear complaining about the banshee. The yz250 has a new top end wiseco pro lite probably 3 to 5 hrs on it. I had the seals replaced on the front suspension because small leak haven't rode it since that. It has a FMF factory fatty pipe titanium 2 silencer, vf3 reeds, twin air filter, all blue plastics. Have 2 extra rear knobbies and 2 paddle tires and have the stock pipe and silencer. I have title and its clean. I want 4000 obo. I have to figure out how to post pics, my friend did my sig, I'll ask him to post the yz250 if any one wants to see it.
