  1. I'm interested in the Tors removal kit. How much shipped to 53185? Do you take paypal? Feel free to send me a Private message. Thanks!
  2. Little more done tonight. Pulled the rear wiring off, removed the carbs (man is the TORS a pita/waste of space) and removed stator cover. Parts area is growing, need more space or less toys in the garage.
  3. Haha. It seems someone's got enough interest to pocket some $ once they come up with an effective design and way to produce.
  4. I just bought a banshee that's doing the exact same thing except it will take off and run. I'm thinking I just need the adjustment. I'll get out my clymers when i'm home and get it fixed today. Glad I saw this thread!
  5. @dahl 87 ill give them a shot thanks man!! Whats your paypal? Sweet!
  6. Stock compression varies between 120-130psi. If there were a little stutter it could be from the gas, carbs, air filter, or jetting most likely. Quad feels good driving it and pulls nicely. I was just making a quick video to show as much detail as possible for anyone potentially interested. Come take it for a test ride and see if you like it
  7. More progress today. Got the 98 all cleaned up and posted for sale. Then got to work on my 2000 build. Pulled the Tie-rods, exhaust, mounting brackets, & Airbox. Ordered the motion pro knuckle/ball joint removal tool from ebay for my a-arms/spindles but used the nut/hammer trick to get out the tie-rods free from the steering stem. Let some pb blaster soak in for 30 minutes and popped right down in a few whacks. Pics from today's doing's and wanted to show off my fancy organization of bolts from different areas of the quad. haha.
  8. Just checked compression on cold motor. 120 each side.
  9. Hey guys. Gonna throw this up here for a day or two before I put it on ebay. I lowered the price $350 I'm asking on Craigslist for this forum specifically. 1998 Banshee for sale. Some newer parts on the quad. Plastics in great condition for the year. No major marks, cuts, or stress marks. Runs/handles good. The clutch is fine once it's nice and warmed up. When cold & shifting into 1st gear the transmission engages even with clutch pulled in. It will need a Clutch adjustment or going through. I'd assume it's a cheap/simple fix because it shifts fine and goes through the gears great otherwise. I Picked up this quad locally this last week but figured I mine as well throw it up for sale while it sits in my garage. I'm Still building my 2000 banshee. I bought it on a whim because the guy selling it was looking for cash for vacation and gave me a pretty good deal. Email, text (262-620-1846) or pm me if interested. I have registration documentation for this quad (Wisconsin does NOT give out titles on atvs). The previous owner had media/sand blasted the frame and painted it blue at one point. Can't make out the VIN but I have the paperwork. I checked with the Wisconsin DNR and they said I'd have no problem purchasing new registration for the bike. The vin # checked out. Picture provided below as well with Vin. Asking $2450 or best offer on local craigslist add. $2100 here on HQ If I can't get that I'll just sit on it until my other banshee build is finished. Located on the border of Wisconsin/Illinois in Racine County. Can meet or help with delivery if deposit is given. Aftermarket upgrades include: K&N Filter Pro Circuit Pipes & Factory Sound 304 Mufflers Renthal Bars & Bar Pad TORS Eliminator kit DG Front Bumper Aluminum rear bearing/axle housing Durablue +3 axle ITP Rims Maxxis Razr Tires New Brakes Barnet clutch Rear Shock Rebuilt Video of the quad starting, idling, and going through gears. Thanks Tommy.
  10. Sounds and looks like you got alot of nice, clean, and expensive aftermarket parts on it. Might be better off parting this one out. If you have time.... Good luck with sale. I'm interested in the protaper handle bars, asv levers, and wheels/tires if you decide to part out.
  11. Payment sent on Headlights. Thanks!
  12. PM Sent. i'll take the headlights if not sold already.
  13. Looks great and very original. Def stands out from others. Good work! Mind me asking how much you have invested into the build?
  14. Haha thanks dude. Yeah I put a few coats of clear coat over the krylon fusion satin white paint. Interested to see how well it holds up. I've been having such a great time redoing this quad that I bought him a friend today. Found a 98 banshee locally and you will all be happy to hear that it is piped & jetted with pro circuit platinum pipes and factory sound 304 mufflers with LOTS of other aftermarket goodies. I kinda went out on a whim buying this. Might just clean it up and sell it. We will see. Depends on how expensive my current build gets.
  15. Spent the morning taking off the gas tank, draining, and cleaning outside plastics. Also flushed & removed the radiator. Picked up one in our for sale section here. Case saver came in the mail too. I'm thinking about picking up one of those motorcycle/atv lifts from Sears. Anyone have feedback on how they work with the banshee? Don't really like my jack stands and jack set up. haha
  16. Update: Front plastics finished. Front end dis-assembled, and few other misc things cleaned, painted, replaced. Changed the trans/clutch oil out and put in some fresh Super tech ATF Type F. Thanks for all the advice guys. I really enjoyed driving a stock banshee in the past for trail riding. It just felt right and it was fun to kick out the rear end on demand. I love the sound, look, and ease of working on the banshee vs the 4-strokes. The banshees are a-lot cheaper too from what I've found. I may end up picking up some used pipes and jetting the quad. We will see. Want to get some seat time on the current set up first though. This week i'll be changing out radiator, stator cover, re-doing the a-arms, repainting, doing the front wheels, painting the frame, and hopefully starting the process of putting it back together
  17. LOL I have a completely stock 2005 polaris scrambler 250 2x4 2 stroke in my garage. Sure enough, stock rotor and chain guards.
  18. Received my Radiator and Stator cover today. EXCELLENT condition, better than pics showed. Fast shipping and awesome packaging. Thanks again!
  19. Payment sent. Thank you!
  20. Thanks Dave. I've had really good success with Krylon Fusion for plastics and Rust Oleum brands for metal/aluminum. Can't wait to see it all together. The quad was needing some TLC when I picked it up 2 weeks ago. At the end of the day it's still just an atv that will get ridden. Scratches and marks are no biggie. Fun to wrench on in the mean time.
  21. Will do, thanks!
  22. I wouldn't on that banshee. That thing is clean! I think you should pick up a spare set of front fenders that are shaved or could be easily. Looks like your quad is set up for trail riding? Would suck to not have fenders in my opinion...
  23. I have new front and rear axle bearings and seals. Swing arm bearings and seals, front a-arm bushings, and sprockets to replace. Since I took the rear axle apart and was waiting on parts, I just went from there and started cleaning and touching up stuff. I'm not a fan of the yamaha blue as i've had too many quads that color in the past. While i'm doing these maintenance repairs, it's a good time to get the stuff done. I plan on keeping the motor, carbs, and exhaust stock until it's time to replace/upgrade.
  24. Didn't see anything on Fast's website. Who is tdr? Looked on the sponsor page and didn't see a link? Ebay has a Front Sprocket Nut Lock Washer set for $19. damn
  25. Okay thanks. Didn't know if it was a common thing some would have laying around. haha no clue why the previous owner wouldn't have put it back on.
