STOCK 2001 Banshee - Just purchased
Tommilicious replied to Tommilicious's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Thanks guys. I love the snap it has. Every machine I own I modify but I think i'll keep this one stock. The original owner said they only ran Race gas (100 octane) through it with a 32:1 mix. Yamaha Lube 2 R oil. Will running 91/93 octane disrupt something if I switch? I have no idea where I can even buy high octane gas at? -
Just picked up a completely stock 2001 Banshee. It has approximately 15-20 hours on it, female driven. The lady I bought it from had purchased new to follow her kids around when they rode dirtbikes. This thing is mint, nubs/paint lines on tires, no rust on frame. Starts up 1 kick and runs like a champ. I bought it to go riding this weekend since I just sold my can-am renegade 800x. Thinking I might keep it for a while or sell. We will see how it goes Just wanted to say hello. Good site you got here, lots of info. -Tommy Paid 2,000 cash. Here it is after I cleaned it. Loving the white/black plastics. Easy to clean.

$1800.00 Takes it. I bought it from a guy named Jason from Illinois. This banshee was on ebay the last few weeks. There's nothing wrong with it that I can find. Its just too fast for where I ride. I bought this banshee even though I had never actually seen, drove, or sat on one in person. I guess I didn't realize how different it was from the only 4 wheeler i've owned or ridden a 1993 suzuki lt 160. Lol I think I'm gonna get a 400 ex or something like that. I dont race, drag, or do anything like that. Just ride in my yard and some woods by my house. I drove this banshee about 3.5 hours last sunday with not 1 stall, no problems at all. I check the plugs afterwards and they still looked great. This banshee is ready to go.

1996 Yamaha Banshee. White/Red plastics Runs great very fast. It has 3 rides on new top end. Pual Turner High rev pipes. Fat Boy silencers. Dg nerf Bars. Boyesen Rad valves. Dauglas rear rims with Dirt Devil Tires. The rear tires also have only 3 rides on them. Stock front rims with Fast Trekker Tires. Maier Plastic with race cut front fenders. 2 K&N filters set-up. New front a-arm bushings. New rear axle bearings. This banshee starts up on the first kick, and will idle all day long. It is very reliable, and its a strong running banshee. I thought I would love this thing, but I have tight trails and lots of turns to go through. The banshee is too fast for where i ride. This thing really pulls hard and has lots of power. It always starts up on the first kick. Everything is solid. Let me know if you want to buy it outright or trade for a quad which is more trail riding/woods riding friendly. I am located between milwaukee and chicago. Make some offers. You can email me [email protected] if you want. I need something in good running shape or cash! I dont want any projects or junk.

2000 Yamaha banshee, great condition!
Tommilicious replied to szewczyd's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Good luck man, I would advise you not to go through ebay. I have been following banshees very closely. Ecspecially in our area. Here's the latest Stock banshee to not meet its reserve... A 2003 stock, low hours banshee. Highest bid was $2,025 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT A 2003 modded banshe, Highest bid $1675 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...MEWA%3AIT\ But hey, its your choice. Thought I'd give you the heads up on not hitting your reserve. Ebay will charge you another $100 or so after you pay a listing and final value fee. -
Cracked case abover sproket
Tommilicious replied to Tommilicious's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Thanks for the advice. 1500 seems like a good price. But I want something I can depend on for the rest of the year. Maybe I will redo some things this winter, but I want something to drive for now and not sink money into right away. I dont have a large budget so I can't be too picky either I guess.. Thanks guys, keep any info / advice coming. Heres another pic if it works. Another pic Front -
Cracked case abover sproket
Tommilicious replied to Tommilicious's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Could you explain how you can tell it had the shit beat out of it. I'm new to banshees and dont know what to look for. I will be giving him $1500 for the banshee basically. 1000 Cash plus my old suzuki lt 160 worth about 500. Do those tires need to be replaced right away? i'm not sure how much tread is good on a quad like this. Thanks Tommy -
Cracked case abover sproket

Thanks for the input. Heres a pic of the quad. Can anyone tell whats aftermarket on it? Or if something doesn't look right. He said it's a 1995. thanks Tommy -
I'm looking into buying this 1995 banshee. Guy said its mostly stock with a new top end in the moter, bored like 10/20 over or something. He said there is a crack in the case abover the front sproket, but it still runs fine and everything. he said it looks like its just a cover or something. Here are the pics. Any suggestions/ideas/input is appreciated. Does this need to be replaced or fixed before riding? What might have happened? thanks

2000 Yamaha banshee, great condition!
Tommilicious replied to szewczyd's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I tried messaging you and emailing you. Haven't heard back yet. Would you be interested in a partial trade? I have an old 90's suzuki lt 160 which runs great. Could use some electrical work but its pretty solid. How about 2k cash plus the lt 160? let me know Thanks Tommy -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT Just started looking into getting a banshee. All I've had my whole life was this 90's suzuki lt 160. LOL. Anyways I spoke with the owner and he seems very strait forward and honest. He's looking to get 1500 out of it, he said he'd meet me half way even (240 mile trip) I offered 1100 cash and my lt 160, but I'm waiting to here back. I most likely would pay the 1500, but I dont want 2 quads at my house. So what do you guys think,,,, Wait for the auction to end and hope its less than 1500, or take the deal. Any opinions appreciated. Thanks Tommy

2000 Yamaha banshee, great condition!

Where are you located in Wi? I'm currently looking for a banshee or similiar....Are you the original owner? What mods/work have been done to it? Ever been rolled, any problems, Ever been raced/dragged.....etc? How low are you willing to go? 3k for a 2000 is a little out of my range right now... Thanks Tommy -
Looking to buy a Banshee or may consider a raptor / yfz450. I'd like something close to stock if possible. I would mostly use it for trail riding and in the winter on lakes/snow. I don't want to spend anything over $2,500 at the moment. I'm selling my 2005 GTO so I might change my mind about price after that's gone. Email me or reply and let me know what you have. I am located in the middle of Milwaukee/Chicago. Email [email protected] Thanks Tommy
