  1. .090 is the minimum we can use on our set-up. That allows for full disengagement of the pressure plate from the clutch pack. Change of subject phunt! How about sharing some of the clutch data logging information? I have not tested this configuration yet. My understanding from other's, there's an issue of spring breakage.
  2. Rizzo, you are pretty new to the HQ Circus. It takes a little bit of time to settle into the Clowning that goes on. As Possum said above; sometimes to a lesser grade & even infants. I'm not excluding myself from that. A good many of Circus Member's are close to full time Ass Clowns! Your 1st post was obvious to people that understand something about it & take the time to learn. It was understood by a few member's that actually addressed your question. Maybe I should have taken Loco's easy way out answer & not answer anything. Surfrag, hit on it in his post & you can use part of what Rappy brought up in his post depending on the situation. Example. Same bike, same rider, same surface & same everything. Except you have to run a wheelie bar & no bar in another situation. There's multiple ways to deal with this. In most cases the problem without a bar is fighting a wheelie. An easy start to the problem is Rappy's example: lower it down if you have that adjustment. OK, you say it's a low as it goes. There are many different options, I'll name a few to try & stimulate the conversation. Start with tightening the compression on the rear shock. This will help slow the bikes rotation. Here's one of my favorites & Wheelman has mentioned this before also. Ballast/moveable weight bars. Yes, adding weight can make you go faster if done right! The object is not to get rid of the wheelie. It's to have a nice, small & controlled full throttle wheelie with or with out a bar.
  3. A company actually thinks they are doing something new with a lock-up. It's rumored another company is coming out with one similar/same, soon. There's no need to spend money for a new lock-up to accomplish this. It has been done for many years with backyard engineering & for very little $ you can do this with a little ingenuity.
  4. Are you serious with that minimum? I wouldn't recommend that!
  5. f rizzo, That question is way too technical for HQ Circus Member's. The majority have a hard time doing cookie cutter tuning on their Banshees. Rappy did a good job of explaining it & it deals with the CG of the quad. You probably would be better off researching other motorsports for the information. While not all of it applies, the basic principles do.
  6. TTT for Casey.
  7. Yep! Are you going to talk about it or are you suggesting I talk about it? IMO, we set it for a certain range of clearance & don't pay a lot of attention to it. Can it be used to tune, a little. We prefer to stick with the areas that really matter.
  8. I'll have to see if I can find a couple to post up this weekend. 632 cubic inches (1300 hp) all motor on asphalt.
  9. Teddy was implying or maybe he wasn't. I was going easy on him in the SB the other day. I did win a few heads-up races while I was in MI. at both Lapeer & Milan. Lets focus on the Teddy & SlowerThanYou race. I guess during one of our drinking nights we came up with a 2 out 3 heads-up race. I wanted 1/4 mile he wanted 1/8 mile. So, 2 of the races were simple to decided. The 3rd race was decided by the flip of the coin & I won another 1/4 mile race. Plus, he stipulated I had to turn off the delay box. The bet was for a steak dinner at the winner's home town or surrounding area. By all rights Teddy had me covered in the 1/8 mile or thought he did. He should of remembered I hold some undisclosed numbers with our race vehicles, LOL! We pretty much knew I had him covered in the 1/4 mile. While he was running good in both distances, he shouldn't of taken or offered the bet. The track was not suited for what his quad is capable of. Anyway, the 1st race I got my cross dressing buddy by roughly .29 in ET. I knew I had him covered in the 1/4 mile. So, I offered him another 1/8 mile race. I figured this one would go to him, but it didn't go in his favor. He had me on the reaction time, but I caught him. I won by about .25 in ET on this run. I was happy, but more importantly. Ted & Karen have been great friends for a while now. We have shared good & bad times together. Winning or losing the bet, it didn't matter. It is an excuse to spend time with good friends in the future, win or lose. We are tied with our bets & I'm sure the next one will be even better. Till then, you got beat by the Hoopty/Almost Demo Camaro. Better luck next time Teddy!
  10. I guess this is the best side shot I have.
  11. +8
  12. Teddy, I think that was a nice way to call us fat & old!
  13. I'm on the left & Tedder on the right.
  14. I think they are trying, but I'll believe it when it happens. Plus, they had better hurry up & decide or it will be too short of notice for most.
  15. When I picked the motor up Tues. Kim told me someone was trying to get a race planned for Nov. at Dome. He said he would only go if it was PSDA sanctioned race. That's the only thing I have heard. That's where we had the gearing before this dyno work. The shift light set at 9600 was coming on right before the traps. The motor peaked at 8800 on the early dyno runs, that's why it was falling on its face thru the traps. It was all based on K&T's motor dyno runs. Now it's close, just need to find time to run it. Right now the priority is with the racecar & 3 big races in Oct. & Nov.
  16. You know something I don't, let me know?
  17. That's good information shared! So, what was your actual baseline pressure. LOL! You gave good examples. Just to add, when we start getting close in base pressure. The changes are in smaller increments than 20 lbs. I'm sure Casey has figured that out.
  18. Like to hear a little more than "do it", but that's why I listen to K&T/Shearer. The motor will be run on the track 1st, both 300' & asphalt before considering changes to the head pipe. If we decide to go that route, it will go back on the dyno.
  19. There was negligible power difference between their pipes (unsilenced) & mine (silenced). The silenced pipes had a lower rpm peak. Plus the smaller carbs was part of the rpm discussion also. I would like the motor to peak around 9800. but would take more if possible.
  20. Picked up the motor from K&T this past Tues. Randy & I discussed one change that he would like to see. The motor made peak HP at 9600 a little shy of theirs. He talked with Matt Shearer & they both think 10mm removed from the head pipe may be needed. We decided to wait until after we run it to make a decision.
  21. I wish everyone a safe trip to & from. I'm sure you all will have a great time, sounds like a lot of fun!
  22. Here's one vid, should have a couple more & a few pics when Teddy gets off his lazy ass. http://s178.photobucket.com/user/Drag_Banshee/media/Michigan/100_7850_zps06a702c9.mp4.html
  23. Nope not at Milan, it's certainly too much car for Lapeer. LOL!
  24. LOL! I understand. He's still a chicken shit bitch.
  25. First & foremost, this trip was about seeing my family in MI. The icing on the cake was being able to race & be with family/great friends. I can't say enough good things about my good Circus friends Ted & Karen. I wish duecebanshees (Jimmy) could have been there also. Thanks for the sportsman comment, that reflects back on you also. We set out to have a good time & made the best out of a not so good racing facility. I look forward to another back East racing outing next year, somewhere. LocoHomo, no tax needed! Ted knows most of my racing history. It's enough to hurt a few Circus Clowns feeling's. Second, it was nice to take a vacation from the HQ Circus. 2 weeks of not logging on once! Third, this is for the couple Circus Ball Chinian's. SpecialBender, you need to concentrate on your Crayola's & finish growing up. Dave summed it up pretty good. For someone who openly doesn't give a fuck about drag racing. You sure do have an interest in wanting times. Now, for your information the thread was started about our annual MI. trip & meeting at the racetrack with family/friends. Sorry you don't get that! As for your comment on dyno threads with no numbers. It's kind of like you getting a motor from K&T & wanting to know the number's. Pretty simple for you Crayola Boy, get your shit Dyno'd! Last & certainly least, Banshee HP. Talk about a spineless lurking jelly fish. He shows up to the track with his POS truck & doesn't have the balls to drive by our pit or say hello, LOL! Then he does his usual whining in the SB about it. He's like a good many other forum BS Artist's, a typical chicken shit. Now for the few other's that are interested or gets it, we had a great time. The 1st pass off the trailer (Lapeer) with the Vegas tune-up was a: 1.478 60' 6.562 1/8 @ 107.32 10.161 1/4 @ 132.81 We made a minor change, 10.0s @ 133 & 134 with 1.40 & 1.41 60's. The car ran the same numbers at both Lapeer & Milan in the same air conditions 2400'-2600' DA.
