what year is it off of. any defects. price? dave

you could be worn out and the pistons are slapping back and forth in the cylinders. thats what makes a slapping noise. but it could crack off the piston skirts and then youll have pieces in your crank.

yeah, the parts are nuts on ebay right now. i just need the right spindle. i have 3 left ones.

Rebuild NOW or youll need to do more than just a bore and pistons. i should talk, i have a blaster that does it bad but im gonna go through the whole motor this winter. i hope it makes it.

most snowmobiles dont have tether switches unless they are added on but it wont be that since it starts. check on ebay, there are a bunch of artic cat 440 cdi's on this week.

if you have a repair manual for it, they should say the resistances. the you need an ohm meter. whats happening is your getting spark, but the cdi is not letting it advance. thats why it just idles. the 440's are known for this.

ITS THE CDI, THAT ENGINES OFF A SLED RIGHT. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, IT WOULD JUST IDLE. TEST THE CDI AND YOULL FIND OUT.

they came with rims, its a real tight fit cause of the 8 inch wheel but i had them on my 99 banshee no problems. i have pics of them on there.

Flat Black j arm frame, its an 87. Straight and all threads look good, even the peg threads. One stock pipe mount is cut off. Comes with bill of sale, completely readable vin. The vin is a very low number, i will put it on once i put up pics in a day. $200 obo, dont want to ship.
