  4. alright, i rounded two lug nuts and need to replace them.... anyone have the size/thread cut on them? i need this asap because we have a ride tongiht and i forgot to bring one with me.... 05 shee if it matters.... thanks!
  5. one time i forgot to put the pilot jet in the one carb .... i was in to big of a hurry... and it pissed premix out the exhaust like youre seeing..
  6. well, im just a jackass is what the deal was... i thought i put the 155's in, but it was just the 170... and the sputter must have been shit gas because i put fresh stuff in and it went away completely...
  7. well i decided to go do a jetting run and plug chop... i have 45 pilots and 170 mains (i know thats a rich main, but it was like 40degrees or so and i wanted to be safe... let me say, this bike HAULS! heres a pic of my plug chop... from what i see, its a bit rich.. also, as i pulled in the driveway, i noticed my banshee not shifting in or out of gear... i put it in the barn... all but 3 of my side case screws backed out and puked gear oil. i guess that will teach me to not put blue loctite on them after i painted my case cover. :shoothead: oh well.. anyone know where i can get some of these screws real quick?

  11. where can i get new boots? im in need of them because somehow mine dry rotted... or maybe it was from carb cleaner?
  12. my buddy had a blaster... this happened to him while riding due to bad jetting and such... his sparkplug actually was soooo hot i guess that it was glowing bright red and acting to ignite the cyl. to keep it running with the wire off the plug... idk if that was the case, but he ripped it out and the plug was glowing... hahahaha... weird things...
  13. alright... i have a 4mil 5 mil longrod stroker.. FAST dune/play porting, trinity IV pipes, v3 reeds, Boss intake, 33mm PWK's, NOSS head 20cc domes, +4 timing, stock box no lid w k&n clamped inside... my altitude is 12-1400ft... temps are around 50 degrees.... would a 145 be too lean?? i had 155's in when it was like 10-20 degrees out and the top end would just sputter gasping for air because it was way rich... what everyone suggest?

  18. i was just wondering... maybe someone rigged up seomthing? its kinda akward to have to pull the seat off, kick the bike til warm, then push both chokes back down and go... i know most of you cant get your hands in to shut off the chokes without getting burned... you know this isnt the issue with stock carbs, they have one choke... but what about us with aftermarket? is there a cool trick cable or something anyone has rigged up? it'd have to be a pushpull job im sure... or should i just quit being so damn lazy and do it the long way?

  20. alright, last night it was realllllllly cold...like around 0-10... tell me if this means my pilot is way rich... i kicked my bike w/o choke... wouldnt start after 5 kicks... pulled both chokes.... started first kick idled pretty high.... took chokes off immediately.... idled perfect... and remember, it didnt have time to even warm up the slightest bit... and it idled dead cold w/o chokes... whats that tell you?
  21. oh the bottom end before power hits, its still seems sputtery.... like how the bike would run if you jumped on it when it was cold and tried to run it... you know the feeling... youve all done it.... thats how my shee acts until power hits... wtf. maybe i need new fresh gas.. its been a while since i put some in... but would it make that big of a dif if its only been like 3mths?
  22. yeh im pretty sure i did what you mean... what i did... took all tension out of the cable... with side off.. i took the adjuster on the top of the case, held it as far forward as possible and turned the threaded thing on the clutch in until the arrows lined up... then i tightend the lock nut, put it together and took the slack out of the cable, minus a little bit of play... when i grab the lever and pull it in, when i go to pull out, the bike wants to go like right now... with the lever barely out... its ready to pull.... maybe thats what the stiffer springs do?

  24. alright, in neutral, clutch pulled it starts... in gear clutch pulled, it doesnt, and jumps forward a bit... whats the deal here? hope i dont have to rip my side case off again... stupid fluid anyways... can i just adjust it with the adjustable clutch lever on the perch?
