  1. wouldnt making it richer make my problems worse? like if im in first gear it loads up so fast unless im full on the pipe at all times... making my lower circuts too rich correct?
  2. alright, i have a jetting prob with my heap. its a 4mil longrod.. dune/play port thru fast. v3's, noss head w 20cc, 33pwks, trinity IV pipes, boss intake, +4timing.. i have 3" couplers from carbs to airbox with no lid and a k&n.. im at 1200ft.. 65-75degreesish.. current jetting pilot 42 needle CGL second clip down from top... airscrew 2 turns out mains are great... i forget what it has.. my mix is 93w supertechniplate. 32-1 my problem- in tight trails if im in the low end for a bit, i get blue smoke.. then when i crack it through an opening, it sputters out thru the powerband til top end hits.. like it got loaded up. what should i do? ive been told that with 4mils 42pilot is like as low as they should be... but mine is still getting loaded up. and no, i dont ride it slow and lug it alot.. its just way fat still on the bottom.. is it because of my 3"couplers to the airbox thats choking me for air? i cant figure it out... should i just say piss on it and go with 40pilots? anyone have similar setups?
  3. so i figured it out. the bottom timing plate screw somehow backed out, wedging in the flywheel. thank god nothing major happened... except now i have to figure out how to put a screw into an egg shaped hole hahaha
  4. so lastnight i decided to take my shee to the field to rip around.. when i go to kick my shee, ill slowly run the kicker down just to line it all up, then ill give it a kick and it starts... well, when i slowly kicked down, it was really tight, then let go... like something was binding up... i thought a ring had jumped because it was making like a grinding sound... took the head off.. did notice anything.... took the jugs off... held the pistons while kicked down... still making noise... took motor out... sidecase/clutch off ..spun the sprocket (its in neutral) spun free.... spun the shaft the clutch was on... spun free.. tried spinning the crank... itll turn so far, then catch and bind and give a grind, then turn... time to split the case and see wtf is down there... yay. any ideas? hope its not time for a new crank
  5. ive been running klotz flexdrive 30 or whatever it is in my case... that stuff smells SOOOOO good. not like shitty gross gear oil. i love klotz. im a klotz ass kisser.
  6. so i need the chain pullers(adjusters) and the swingarm bolt... anyone have them laying around?
  7. so since i rolled down that highwall, the problems keep occuring.. so my axle got a little bend in it... thats not a big deal, but im thinking it worked the lower swingarm bolt loose... the one into the carrier... it worked out into the sprocket, lost the nut, bent the bolt at a 90, lost both chain adjusters... now the bolt is wedged in there tight... i cut the end off so i could pound it out, but no luck. .....this is just a vent thread. my bad. hahahahaha... motor is still strong though! woo woo... bottom is still rich, but top end is nuts.
  8. alright, i we were all out riding... and i let my buddy take my shee for a rip... he said he couldnt get it into 4th.... i take it out the road, everything seemed just fine... went through all the gears... then when we were screaming down a back road, i couldnt upshift anymore and i could only go down one gear.... i think it was 4th and 5th... i limped it back home and ripped my side cover off.. i found the part of the shift dealy that grabs the studs on the shift star... you know which part i mean... i found it kinda wedged in sideways instead of up and down... idk how that happened? anyone have any idea as to how it coould happen? hard shift? needless to say, after looking around for oil/antifreeze/adjusting my clutch, we finally get to go ride... yep, you guessed it. rolled this bitch right over top of me... down a highwall. all it did was bend the lip on a wheel and turned my bars down, but i just loosened the bolts and slid it back up... what a day. fun though..
  9. supertechniplate all the way with me... its 32-1... other than that, the throttle is crisp as hell... pulls hard, fast, loud... oh my is it loud...
  10. so... my banshee has been running like a raped ape.... my question is this... if im in the trails in low gears, when i jump on it after being on the bottom for a while, it will smoke blue a bit.... then completely clear up... is that meaning im loading up on the bottom? also, i changed my plugs, rode for likee an hour, tops, and my plugs were tan.... not even black or anything... they were a nice tan.... is that too lean? i wouldnt think?

  13. for my bike? 2005, 4mil stroker, 20over, 33mmpwks, knarly xcs on back practiaclly brand new, boss intakes, ricky stator adjustable timing plate, fast dune play porting, trinity IV pipes, like 4hrs total on motor? what do you think i could get for it? bike would be cleaned completely before.. cut white plastics...
  14. well since it was cooler lastnight, i took it out.. holy hell. its not really a banshee anymore. Jeff gets a freaking A+ on this motor. bring on all the pussy big bore banshees. ive got a present for ya.
  15. ah shit. i hope its not doing that... sometimes my top end is crummy, but not all the time... it seems like it comes and goes depending on how im riding... if im flat out balls to the wall down the road.... it clears up its little pissy fit and just hauls the mail... but if im in a the woods, screwing off, and come out to the road and jump on it, it will spit some then finally in about 3rd or 4th take off wihout spitting.. i hope its not a leak in my case.
  16. ive checked airleaks with the carb cleaner trick, so if it had one, i sure as hell cant find it... unless it leaks from the case..... but if that was the deal, would my gear oil be funny?
  17. oh man. i forgot. the 42 pilots have been in it... and the air screw is 1.5 out... could i possibly have to dip into the 30's on a 4mil w carbs? ive never heard ppl doing that before??

  21. so my banshee starts WAY to easy when its cold... barely need the choke... but when it gets hot, it wont start... unless you give it a tiny bit of throttle.... and it seems to load up a lot and sputter in first and second most of the way through the powerband, but once i get to like 3456 it clears up completely by 4th and so on... likes the pilot is so rich it loads up the bike while riding? sound like i need to dump my pilot some more?
