  1. i used the ac vent mesh from my ceiling... with the small holes.. it was perfect.... looks good man
  2. use a press.. and the PC company should already know to cover and plug all threads
  3. i have that motor top end on my bike.. iv had it with a stock crank/bottom end and its the best kit iv ever had hands down.. the workmenship in those ports is unbielevable.. i also have a trinity kit.. keep them to the drag bikes and big bore motors. these duncan motors have the best midrange and bottom end punch.. broad, even power throughout the entire powerband.. i wil never purchase any other company motors after duncan.. you cant go wrong.... oh and the new midrange pipes they have sound like nothing else... a top end install isnt that hard.. duncan will give you plenty of detailed instructions..
  4. or use a grinder and remove the head of the stud, then punch it out...
  5. glamis baby... where else
  6. yea i remember way back it used to be balboa cars or something and the sign was fucked up and only said alba so thats what he called his store... kinda random info... remember "wet n dirty".. accross the street.. gonna be SKG now.. lol are you from poway or east county
  7. i dont race mx but my motor is fully built for midrange.. duncan porting with the tunnel ports is seriously the smoothest powerband iv ever had.. they cost alot but well worth the money imo.. you cant go wrong with a proven company like them.... this is the top end i have
  8. hahahhaha thats what i was thinking... all three holes in one spot... thats genius
  9. dont reuse any orings after they have been torqued... i dont really understand your problem but just get a new set of orings, make sure all STUDS are fully torqued.. dont back any of them up two threads, or you will see a real leak lol.... and basicaly start over again.. here is a link that clearly explains how to install a cool head.. (a powerhead is the exact same thing but with a different name on top) clicky clicky
  10. i said that.. how would it rip one way or another.. from my experience if you use the smaller factory clamps it holds it enough to seal and take the vibrations... never had any issues. using the hose clamps which came with the bottle is what ripped my manifolds.. thats why i have billet now i will agree that a boost bottle isnt any big of an upgrade, but it does have some effect in the bottom end response.. do your own research... the whole "they suck cause they rip your manifolds" is what im arguing
  11. awsome thread :yelrotflmao: well this is my take on alba.. i too live in the same town as alba (poway) and purchased a couple of banshees from them. been there a million times and know almost everyone there.. first off, alba bought out a local shop.. i forget the original name but they were next to other reputible shops.. anyways one of the guys came from the old shop to work at alba and work the machines.. so someone from there knows what there doing.. i just go there to buy other parts at discount.. i could go on all day about alba.. what it comes down to is just find a builder thats in your area.. if not then you better know what your getting yourself into.. iv been blessed to have duncan racing right down the street. but i would ship it to china if they were over there.. iv been through alot of builders and companies, and can say duncans quality, customer service and advice are top of the business.. hands down, the best motor iv been on.... and like my name says as for trinity.. well after a $5500 cheetah motor you would expect them to atleast tell you that the carbs are not jetted and that black shit spits out the PVs.. didnt even get a break in sheet and had to bring the whole bike in to them.. im sure others have had good experiences with them but they seem to lack customer care.. but the motor is insane and runs strong.. no problems yet
  12. na $1500 sounds good for this bike.. i would buy it.. just look for rust and dents, thats how you tell.. as for the motor, you wont know till you own it.. thats how it goes when buying used. maybe its not beat but cases dont break for nothing.. maybe a lack of maintence.. like said above as long as no oil is leaking then your probly ok..
  13. um the case doesnt look right.. i see some holeshots and some nerf bars.. looks pretty dam stock.... but beware.. someone obviously beat the shit out of it.. how much does the owner want for it?? oh and you can break the case there just by too much slack.. chain doesnt have to break to do that
  14. no it doesnt matter.. just make sure they are facing the right way..
  15. lets see some pics of the new ride
  16. what clamps are you guys using?.. if you run the stock clamp and not a hose clamp then it should be fine.. iv had that problem..
  17. more air to a certain extent.. maybe on a dragster.. in his case and most people who offroad there quad its not worth it.. way to much dirt on the filters. removing the lid gives you as much extra air as needed.. more air with less filtration+more fuel(which you dont get by removing the airbox)=more power with more dirty air....
  18. the main pain in the ass is the steering stem bearing.. you will need some sort of tool. the hammer and flathead driver trick works sometimes but beware.. after that its all down hill imo.. the motor is easy to pull and if you have any ?s, post up... iv done it ten times
  19. yea i wasnt saying put premix in the trans.. but i did think it also lubed the crank down there.. i think i just got kinda owned lol :baseball_whistle:
  20. do not throw the airbox away.. your bike will only suck so much air.. removing the airbox only lets more dirt on the filter, thus more dirt in your motor.. the lid can go.. i have an extra adapter i would sell you for $20 if i find it..
  21. yea if you want to blow your motor.. plug those!!!!! and boost bottles are not junk.. if your bike is tuned right then they work great with response.. dont know about you guys but i run the pro design with the intake manifolds.. and it runs perfect, and iv never had problems with them.. my vote is keep it and make it work to your benefit..
  22. crank case is the same as trans oil and even the clutch oil.. it all goes in the same dipstick.. i change mine every other trip.. it doesnt have to be black to change it..
  23. you post a pic and let us see it
  24. yea a 3-4 piece of pipe tacked to a table.. iv made a few light bars but without the big ring around the lights.. they kinda distract me. plus you will still trash your lights in a roll over.. i actually need to make a new one but i dont have stock light mounts..
