  1. i have a set of chrome toomey t5 that are in good condition.. will sell cheap (not the set i have in for sale ads)
  2. yea maybe your right on a stock motor.. whith a cool head and some toomeys
  3. garbage .. they are based on a stock design and only enhance more performance through opening all four sides to the reed cage.. not just top and bottom and not being choked from a plastic cross in the center ie v-force
  4. i personally think stock reeds are better then v-force.. just the design boggles my mind in what they are thinking a reed should do. by far the best reeds are pyramid..
  5. imo that is perfect..
  6. I really dont think shipping is that much anywhere in the U.S.
  7. thats badass and no way overkill.. just one doesnt seem to do much i have mine cranked all the way up and still isnt that great. plus they usually get air pockets so turning one way is stiffer then the other. good idea
  8. thats how we do it in So Cal... fuking badass.... i have a million ?s but could you post a pic a full bump please.... and also why not run a 2.0 king in there with such a big front end... tiny bit heavier but you could seriously jump like 200 feet ...... more pics very interested and i havnt read the whole thread yet but how is the body roll on that....
  9. the second i see his bike im taking plenty of pics. he has some funky J-arm you guys have to see.. trust me i will back what im talking about.. and its not even that big of a deal you can imagine what a hole drilled looks like...
  10. by the way i have a spare banshee frame with the front end cut off.. perfect for this project... cheap$$$$
  11. you wanna weld a 250r frame to a banshee frame know matter how good your welds look that would be some hack shit. with all the time in cutting, welding, grinding, measuring, and bending you could make a whole new frame. outlaw chassis is the only way but please post pics if anyone does do this
  12. first off why does someone keep saying the banshee rear shock is too small... doesnt make sense . i have a duel rate that works perfect.. it all depends on what kind of riding you do for what spring ate you use. or persenal spec (no preload or single rate).. imo the 450 shocks on a banshee is a joke.. and after riding hard on them for twenty minutes there toast. dont waste your time.. now to say that elka is a step down from axis or tcs is just BS. they are all top of the line shocks and all perform simular (yes i have rode on all shocks and even the 450 stockers) bottom line is you can bolt anything to your banshee that makes it handle better but are you good enough to put it to use to tell a diference.. buying another quad wont make you a better rider.. my suggestion to you is to keep what you got and search ebay for a front end kit. you dont want a lawn mower
  13. well on my friends setup he has a two over swinger but with a stock shock im not sure if dean revalved it or not but you would need to. the ride hieght looks as it would with a two over but you can adjust that to personal spec anyways.. all you are doing is puting more leverage on the rear shock wich in return gives a little more travel. im gonna build my own linkage that will give me the same result but using my elka zps.. this is all just from what ive seen and read so i havent cycled a rear setup like this.
  14. this explains exactly what im talking about. on my friends bike... from another thread.......... ont waste your money on a extension plate. If you go plus 2" you will loose some handling on the tighter trails. However, if your riding desert or dunes you will have more stability on the rythem sections, hole shots and jumping. If your swing arm is not damaged and you are looking for less expencive way for better handling on the trails and jumping, I reccomend you replace the rear shock. Or send you stock shock in and have it re-valved, lengthen the stroke and replace the spring. Also if you move the lower mounting bolt for the shock on the swing arm foward 1 and 1/2" towards the engine you will get more swing arm travel. Its easy to do. Remove the arm relay off the swing arm. Put it in a vice, measure 1 and 1/2" foward of the stock location of shock mounting hole center, drill your new hole for the shock mount. It should be 1 and 1/2 " center to center from new hole to old hole. If you have access to a drill press use it, but not critical to use. If you dont feel comfortable drilling it your self, measure and mark the spot for new hole and take to local machine shop and have them drill it. I have done this to my banshee. I also had my stock shock re-worked and replaced the stock spring with a eboch spring. I have 11 and 3/4" rear wheel travel. Its in-expencive and works great. I have learned this trick from Dean Sundahl. He has been racing Banshee's in Baja for over a decade. He has won King of the dessert 11 years in a row, several Baja 1000's 500's, and 250's. When it comes to Banshee's he is the man!!!!!!! [big Grin]
  15. what im talking about is not the whole chassis that you have seen (like the blue trinity bike).. but a mod done to the stock rear linkage. i will post a pic as soon as i see my buddys bike. and LT isnt practical for anything but the desert..
  16. LT would be any more travel then stock. you can get two more inches of up travel out of your stock linkage by drilling the lower shock mount 1.5" closer to the frame. also using a two over swingarm. its what dean sundahl uses
  17. WARNING NOT FOR THE FAINT AT HEART!!! hahahahaha 12 gees for that pos... the crack must be real good in omaha
