  1. did i miss something about an ohlins shock? the shaft diameter has lots to do with damping. if you dont know that then do some research. i dont know where to start on why thats a huge deal.. and bending isnt the problem. on a 250r yes, or an outlaw chassis yes but you will never be able to fit a 19" shock on any long travel kit for a banshee. you dont have to have huge shocks to make it LT. who makes a kit for a banshee that uses 19s? and quad rate doesnt do shit. gotta love the edit button when you sound like an ass
  2. rebuilding a stock rear shock sucks no matter who does it. the shaft is just to thin and they over heat and become all spring in a matter of minutes. you paid all that money for the goods on the front you should save and get an elka in the rear. let me guess its the janseen kit off ebay
  3. the benefit depends on what arms your buying. if the shock is stock length then its not much. you might get a half inch more travel over a plus two setup. i wouldnt recomend that wide if you ride woods. they use inch over arms. width is just preferance. its all about the shocks. for your rear the stock swinger is fine just match the rear shock with your fronts.. otherwise your holding your self back. evertime you wheely your riding on stock. and thats no fun edit* would to wouldnt
  4. yea riding on zero preload shocks is a whole new experience. you have to learn how to use them to your advantage. you just stick to the ground. no way to explain you just have to ride a bike with them. although i want a set of the dune edition shocks aswell. why the hell are you selling your kit. that sucks, you should sell something else and keep those
  5. congrats on starting the gayest thread ever.. quit it with this sig BS and keep this site to banshees and less drama
  6. boy i learned my lesson drinking and riding. it was the middle of summer and not a sole in the desert but it doesnt make any differance. went for a ride with some buddys that were talkn some shit like we always do. well as i was pinned in 4th gear coming over the top of a dune and into the next and hit a whoop at the bottom i thought i could eat up.. FUCK NO.. sent my ass so far over the bars and right on my head. then the bike rolls over me and actually rolled a couple more times. both of my shoes were like 15 feet away from me. i cant feel anything in my legs so i start to squirm in the sand making sure im not parallized.. scary shit and i will never ride after drinking again. also because my quad was trashed. thats why its so purrdy now..
  7. on my other forums (dezertrangers.com not working wich is why im here so much) do not let you have any pic of sort. they will tell you to remove any pic in your sig. not going to happen. i see over here its cool so i rised to the occasion with some jaime thomas hitting the leap of faith and my idol dimebag(RIP).. what this guy did was hillarious and got the attention he wanted obviously. cant blame him for trying :thumb: .......................... also this is the only place that has an edit button to let shit talkers change there mind. but since there is one this is my only edit to my post. OOOOWWWWNNNNED by a mod... lmao
  8. negative arms are for drag and a negative swinger is for mx.. and the raiders still suck
  9. and to you. you dont have to bump a thread an hour after you post it when its only one thread down. people will get to it. not everyone lives on forums like me  do some research on what exactly you need. these shocks i wouldnt recomend on anything but stock arms. if you ride any hard then they just fade out.. upgrade to ressy shocks its way worth it. oh yea the raiders suck, go chargers haha lol
  10. joke joke joke arms. that guy has no idea hoe to build arms. lets start with the shocks rubbing on the upper arm. how about those shitty hiems that misalign before the shock is full bump. beware you get what you pay for. maybe other people have a good experience but imo they blow :yankyank:
  11. you mean how your shocks should be setup.. theres no one way its all personal preferance. just make sure those shocks you bought are for your weight and type of riding you do.. other then that just mess around with the adjustments till you find out how you like it. i have the rebound cranked all the way up though. but thats me.
  12. when i cycled my lobo two front end i came up with 6 inches of travel. way over priced is correct. but top of the line is correct. its more of a handeling setup then a longtravel. i used raptor shocks with mine. you wont be dissapointed these arms are super strong.
  13. i bought the clutch lever when they first came out for like $90. i see them on ebay super cheap now. some are remans though.. rolled my quad end over end twice and they worked.. must get the brake lever next. awsome bike btw
  14. thats awsome but thats an outlaw chassis. pretty much a 250r replica rear end on a banshee. so to have a setup like that you would have to buy alot of parts. check out socalfab.com they build some pretty big suspension for any quad. they had a no link with a king shock on a stock frame.
  15. na thats some good info thanks for posting it .... its just what there made from. maybe they have improved since i ran them. if you compare the pyramids to the stock reed cage then you can see how simular they are but the pyramids open on four sides. what more do you need. also my bike isnt built for the highest hp just the most reliable and with a broad power band. the v forces seem to be for a top end motor
  16. yea your right but to me its more work then needed he could have made a d-arm and been ok. hey i have a mill and a tig welder so i will mod anyones. welder or not its a cheap mod and thats just what i was talking about in this thread. and you could do it with a drill if you have skills its only a hole. that linkage is pretty thick right there anyways
  17. ok its been awile since iv been to his out in holtville wich is like a twenty min drive to glamis.. very covienent place to stay. anyways thats where he keeps his bike so i made sure i got the pics of what i was referring to. it was built by sundahl. check out the funky upper j-arm/d-arm/x-arm it looks a little overrbuilt IMO, dont know why a hiem is there but it looks cool.
  18. i never said they badmouthed anyone and they dont. very professional over there. im not an idiot and have had both reeds on many banshees. just my opinion the reed argument can go on forever
  19. thats ok.. some day you will be able to handle roll design. it takes a while to get there lol
  20. roll design.... duh... what else is there. i paid about 2000 for my setup. worth every penny but i will build my own arms next time. rolldesign.com
  21. a D arm is an upper arm that goes around the shock for the J arm frame. no mod needed to mount
  22. we run 20x10x10x10 haulers on the 421 PV with stock length swinger.. hauls ass
  23. it doesnt take a pro to install reeds in fact its very easy. i believe v force reed are the most complete POS reeds on the market. i could go on about them but they speak for them selves.. why would they manufacture a reed that could be modified for more performance?? doesnt make sense.. do the best for your bike and buy a set of PYRAMID reeds. talk to loren or lenny duncan about v force. what a fucking joke
  24. if you get one you have to paint blood on the teeth.
  25. red label rims with rings welded on outside. only in used in dunes so they are not beat to hell. the tires are pretty much just going with the rims i wont seperate.. slow leak in one tire... $100 only.. also i have a brand new msd coil that i only used to start my bike. you will have to make your own mount for it.. still have the box and everything it cost me 120 il sell for 80
