Parting out the banshee tons of parts
KlotzBanshee replied to DreamShee03's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
She's a Hottie no doubt. And proly equaly as fun to ride Just remember, chicks dig bad boys, and owning a Bad Ass Banshee makes all of us "bad boys". New relationships are always great in the begining. So keep her interested or you'll regret selling the shee. Too nice guys get shit on unfortunatly. Good Luck! We'd hate to say "I told you so" and see ya depressed like a MoFo. :baseball_wibble: -
happy B-day DMC  Keep those vids coming :thumb:

A bone stock banshee is supposed to have 38 hp. I going to guess you should run mid to high fifties maybe low sixties give or take a few. :baseball_shifty:

KlotzBanshee replied to KlotzBanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
OK, I'm set on the top end. I talked to Jeff this morning, so I'm go to go there. But I still don't know about the chain and sprockets. X-ring Chain: DID - EK - Renthal - Krause - Regina - other? How many links? Is 104 correct? Do they only come with a min of 120 and have to be cut? I don't want to cut if I don't have to. Sprockets: Renthal - Sunstar - JT - Ironman - TAG - Sidewinder - other? Alu. - Stl. - Tool Stl.? Rims: ITP T9's or Douglas Black or Red labels I know some of you use these, so tell me what you think. Likes/dislikes? Thanks again :thumb: -Ryan -

There's a few "ladies" over on Dort Hwy that would throw some dentures up their verticle smile for a small fee. Look nighty. She's winking at you! :yelrotflmao: wouldn't that get some stupid posts out of him. Or better yet, some of those hillbilly Buba teeth... scary mental picture

Allright... I need : 1) Top end rebuild 2) Chain, Sprockets, and rollers 3) Front Rim(s) I have a little money burning a hole in my pocket, but I need to strech it as far as possible. I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction for the best brands at reasonable prices. 1) for the top end, I deff want Wiseco's, but everybody and their brother has rebuid kits. So who would you recommend? I've thought about giving Jeff at FAST a shout. y/n? 2) There are sooo many options for chain and sprockets. I want an X-ring but don't know what brand, or how many links I need for 14/41 w/ stock swinger. 120? Also, sprockets - what brand and material should I go with? Rollers - TMDesign or UPP? Best places to buy everything? 3) Douglas or ITP? Best place to buy? Cascade has good prices on douglas I think? PLEASE HELP! Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Ryan

The most realistic threat to banshee's I've seen is when some poor suckers let their wives convince them that the banshee needs to go in order to make room for a new minivan or wtf else she wants. :yankyank: DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU!

So, why is yamaha cutting the banshee?
KlotzBanshee replied to Baltour's topic in General Banshee Discussion
It does kinda suck, but a 20 year run is damn impressive for any machine. I honestly don't care that much, I've already got mine, so as long as there remains to be an aftermarket for parts available. Look at 250R's. I've seen some nicely restored ones selling for twice the price of them when they were new. You watch, five years from now Banshee's will be a hot commodity in the ATV world b/c they will be harder to come by. I don't know about you guys, but I'm hanging on to mine. Long live the king -
Hi, my name is Ryan, and I'm a Banshee-holic.... ...I don't think there is a twelve-step program for our addiction yet? :thumb:  My Porn name is Patrick Woodland. no shit

The "gray" is aluminum, probably off of your pistons :baseball_pinch: not good

The set in those pics look like crap! They must not have taken very good care of them. Probably nothin a little Mother's couldn't handle! I've got a set, and do some trail riding, duning, and a little draging with them. They aren't the BEST at any type of riding, but they're better than alot other pipes I see out there. They are pretty versital pipes with ok bottom, awsome mid, and strong top end power. Plus they look sweet and sound sick. I run with guys w/ Toomey T5's all day long, they are very similar pipes as far as power goes, but the stage IV's have a better top end and fit & finish IMO. I'm sure someone will disagree with me b/c there seems to be alot of Trinity haters on here, but I'm very pleased with mine.

I just put some Vesrah's Red pads on my fronts and like them alot. The parts guy at GLMS said they don't ware as long as some, but have a great initial bite. So far he is right.

can anyone say CAN AM?

You said it  Purpose Built there's no such thing as one quad fits all...yet I read the article in DW, and that thing looks mean. But I had a "friend" (F'n Ahole really) who said he was going to make his Polaris Scrambler 500 4X4 (Sport/4X4 - like the Renagade) tear my Banshee a new ass. I still can't believe why he'd get so pissed when I left him in the dust every time...Duh, Its a 2stroke! dumb ass. So he would go home, try and lighten it up, put another 600 bucks in mods...I still kill him Oh but "I can go through mud and shit" :yankyank: Who gives a shit. I want to go fast. I'll buy a four wheel drive sofa when I get old and decrepid. Anyway he hit a tree and totaled his scrapler... We got drunk one time and he picked a fight with another friend of mine and well...I ended up blasting him in the nose after he took a swing at me. He required reconstructive surgery. I felt bad really, But he was Mr. Asshole Tuffguy and got nock down a few notches that night. :yelrotflmao: Sorry, where was I? Oh yea Renagay'd -
Michigan has some pretty spots this time of year.

Well thanks for the replies guys, but the Parking brake and Tors has been long gone, I even removed the wiring from the harness years ago. The air filter is clean and doesn't have any water in the air box. I've got a twist throttle that I tore apart, cleaned, and rebuilt before our last trip. Shee's got brand new Motion Pro - Terminator series throttle and clutch cables. And I also disassembled, cleaned, re-jetted, and reassembled the carbs about two weeks ago. I really don't think it's an air leak b/c it runs great after it warms up enough to dry out. In my experience, this has electrical written all over it. But I just don't know what to look for outside of the obvious. This is just moisture from being rained on, I didn't go through any mud or water holes. From now on I'm just going to keep it covered when its outside I guess. This really has me scratching my head...??????

I like how you did those rears Polish. Something different  looks good. I just did my fronts. I'll have to post some pics later.

Get this. It seems that every time I go riding and it rains over night, my shee starts up fine. But then once I take off, I pull in the clutch to grab second and the R's start to climb on its own. I shut it off, start it up again...and its all good till I get going and it does it again. It doesn't stick like a stuck slide or cable. The RPM's climb slowly, and I can rev it up but the R's will just go higher and not back down. Once it seems to dry out it runs great like it should. I've checked the carbs, throttle, and cable. I don't think its a air leak. My guess is its electrical. But what? It never does this at home. Only when it gets left in the rain up north. Do I just have a garage kept bitch or what? Thanks -Ryan

Thanks for the replies  It sounds to me like the good old Yamalube would be a safe bet...4R - 10w-40 then? He asked about running Amsoil. Is there a specific one to get? Or does He just look for the "motorcycle w/ wet type clutch" oil? What ratio should he mix his gas at? :baseball_w00t: J/K -Thanks

A friend of mine resently bought a like new slightly used 05 Raptor 660R from the local Yamaha dealer. The Stealership parts guys sold him on some oil I've never herd of "7th Gear". He wants to switch up to something better, but doesn't know what brand and weight to go with. I'm a two stroke guy and don't know crap about Raptors, other than they're usually behind me. :yelrotflmao: So all you Raptor guys - Please advise Thanks -Ryan

Not too bad for a little fixer uper project. Looks like she needs some TLC, nothin a few G's can't fix. Offer him $1500.....Tell him you need the $400 bucks for some Fullboars to replace that gay-ass flamer job on the plastic. All in all, nice find.
