  1. I have basically the same setup. Pump gas works well but 100LL av. gas works better. Better response, higher revving, less bogging. I don't have my crank welded and have been running 20cc domes for over 2 years now. My next rebuild will definatly be some crank maintence along with some porting and 28mm carbs. Good luck.
  2. Hellz yeah!!! Do you run big tanks or are you good on gas riding that far? I've been to Lacey and Sarco a couple times. Killer riding spots. Will definately pm the next time I head out over there. Thanks.
  3. Good tires and clutch and you'll be fine. Laungh hard in second. Good luck and tell us how you did.
  4. Sorry, a lil off topic but I have razr1's in front (which work well I might add) and razr 2's in the back. All my friends bitch at me about how much roost they catch with those tires. Well my friend just got a set of 2's in the back of his shee. Man my kneecaps, chest, arms and knuckles still hurt from the rocks. I even got sand blasted in the little gap between my helmet and goggles.
  5. Man this thread went trail riding on a 4 poke. Way off topic. He doesn't want to sell the damn bike, he want's to fix it. If the bike is balls out on top but loading up in the middle, try hiking the needles up one notch. Also you aren't doing any good with stock domes on a head. Up the comp. a lil' with some smaller domes. That alone will make a big difference. Good luck.
  6. Only a tree can get me off my Banshee in the trails. It doesn't matter what might be better. It's what you like that counts. Long live the Banshee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. P.S. Is there a name for this place? Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the reply. I'm still probably gonna take the truck to the street spot just to get a good idea of the area. Definately gonna need the extra gas. Have you taken that route personally ellison445? If it's good then i'm in there like swimwear baby. Later.
  9. Are they hard core there or occasional? It's not like I have to worry about my truck or anything. Are they on bikes or in patrol cars? Thanks for the heads up. P.S. I'm out by Pres. Lakes if anyone's from the area
  10. If I take the pole line that's south of Sarco, can I get up in there? Google Earth shows that if I run the pole line up to Congasia Rd., it's only a 1/4 mi blast up that road then dip off to the left into the trails and smooth sailing up to Sarco. Is it doable? Has anyone done it? I'm coming from the Browns Mills area. It's about a 15 mi. hike through pole lines and fire trails but it's possible up to that point. I haven't scouted it out yet. Figured i'd ask first. Any body else in the area take these back trails? Thanks. Later.
  11. I found a way, using Google Earth, to get to the sand quarrey on Savoy Blvd. on the other side of rt 72 from Chatsworth. Was wondering if anyone rides there or around that area. I'm about 7 mi. from that site by way of pole lines and fire trails. It also seems that i'm also about 15 mi. from Sarco but that's another topic. I'm located just past the 70/72 circle in the Browns Mills area. Any info, help or if you wanna meet up out there, i'm down. Thanx. Later
  12. Prolly a Bengel Special. J/k. Glad to see you on the HQ SHO. We'll get her runnin' in no time. Peace.
  13. Dude check the for sale section. There was a guy selling DMC's about five topics down from this topic. Good luck and good decision. I love my pipes and sorry, I ain't sellin. Later.
  14. I ride cause it's the best thing next to sex but without the back talk. I love it after a few tough days you hop on the shee and throw it around and beat on it like it owed you money. After that you feel great and sleep like a baby. Personally, I really don't care what you ride, as long as you're riding and having fun. As far as talking smack, talk is cheap. Prove the shit you're talking or sit on the fu**ing bench and shut up. You're wasting good riding time.
  15. God bless fireworks!!!!! Homemade handheld bottlerocket launcher:
  16. I guess you could wrap the pipe in heat wrap but the only thing that happened to the airbox was a little warpage; no big deal. Unless you ride in deep water or serious mud, you would benefit running with the lid off anyway. I could care less what happens to my airbox. It's basically a shield from the bad stuff. Good luck.
  17. I had the inside nut on my left rear peg come loose and fall inside the frame. I drilled out both rear holes and used all-thread also. Works great! My left front bolt snapped in the frame and I had to drill it out and retap it with a bigger bolt. I just rode this weekend with the front bolt on the right side hanging out and resting on my nerf bar. Looks like I have to tap that ass too.
  18. I bought the DMC 916's in Feb 03. They were my first mod. They do sound like a street bike and are quieter then Toomeys. I felt an improvement with every single mod since then. They don't lose any bottom end, they come on very strong on the midrange, and pull very nice all the way up. I ride trails alot and spend most of the time in the trails under powerband. When the trail opens up and you get into it, they don't bog out or leave you waiting for that kick in the ass. I also do some friendly drag and steep hillclimbs and in no way do they lack in either department. They are a great all-around pipe. As far as durability, the pipes are polished stainless steel. They don't rust or turn blue by the cylinders. The darkest they get is gold and polish gets rid of that. The silencer is aluminum and polishes to a mirror finish. They still look great after four years of rock rash, mud, and road salt. The only thing i've replaced are the silicone sleeves that seal the connection between the pipes and the tubes. By the way, they designed the connection to be behind the frame so you don't see them! Four years later and they're STILL quiet. The only problem I had was that the pipes sorta warped a small spot on either side of the airbox. It's a spot, not a hole, and it was low enough so that it did not mess up the alignment or seal for the airbox lid. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  20. Throw on some reeds and recheck your jetting. Done deal. Garanteed.
  21. SPRAY THE FUCKER!!!!! BEST OF BOTH WORLDS....
  22. Not bad. Bump for good package. Was interested for my buddy's Yoda Pickup but he just ordered tires for his rig. BTW Chevy and Toyota's have the same lug pattern (6x5.5). There all yours T4R. Good luck.
  23. I've rode Shee's with both pipes. The DMC's have killer mid range and very good top end. Toomeys have a good mid range but come on a little bit stronger up top. It all depends on what you will be using the Shee for. Tracks and trails, i'd go with the DMC's. They're a very good all around pipe. Open areas, sand pits, dirt roads, drags, I'd say Toomey. Both pipes have excellent craftmanship and hold up very well. The Toomeys are louder. The DMC 916 sounds like a street bike, very unique. Hope this helps. Good luck. As far as wher you can purchase the DMC's? I got mine at a local stealership but moto-man has them. http://www.moto-man.com/cgi-bin/motoman/16...tml?id=JG222YDQ
  24. A Banshee's one thing but this is for my girls piped Blaster. It just makes me nervous because of how the Blaster's rear tires are positioned directly under the tires which makes it very wheelie prone. Granted, the shorter swingarm makes the Blaster nimble in the tight trails but my girl is a hillclimbing freak. The most air she ever got was about 2 1/2 feet and she weighs under 120lbs. and remember, it's on a Blaster. I just wanted to stretch the quad out a little to get a little better leverage and bring those tires out from under the seat so it won't be so wheelie prone while climbing hills. With this new info. what do you all think? If you still don't think it's a good idea, i'll respect your opinions. After all, it's why i'm here. 375hp banshees, what is your overall opinion on that part? Do you think it was safe on your bike? How long did you ride with it on? Did you ride hard? High jumps? Just would like your input because you actually had one. Thanks everyone.
  25. Also some pics. would help. Seems like another person with a Toyota is interested in these rims/tires eh 4Runner? LOL
