  1. Hmmm, I feel like a fat kid when I ride yfz450's, but it is a pretty cool project.
  2. Checker, schucks, Kragen!
  3. Whats the exhaust port width on the cylinders?
  4. Hmmmm, good center of gravity, good suspension, and tons of power. I like it! Does it seem more nimble than a banshee, how is the vibration from the motor?
  5. My bike makes tons of low-mid power, its fun to ride, and it has murdered a 440ex on the drag strip out at the dunes. It barely, and I mean barely lost to a 70hp raptor 700R last time we were down at the dunes. The 4-strokes cost more to build, they aren't as fun to ride, they have less available parts, and they make less hp per dollar than a banshee.
  6. We have one on the drag bike and it works pretty cool. Only uncool thing is the sae hardware. I wish it was metric.
  7. No, that means your intial compression was 135 psi then. You always check compression after running the bike, never cold because the motor is not fully seated when cold. I dont know why it goes down, I dont remeber what dave told me happens.
  8. Cause everyone is looking to save weight I suppose?
  9. Usually after a motor is broken in the compression will drop a little psi. Im pretty sure the cc of a stock head is in between 22cc and 23cc. It makes sense if you do the math. Each 1cc drop in size is about 13-14 psi. so 22.75cc's would put you at about 130-133 stock psi. Completely stock, my motor (not broken in) with 21cc domes was 145 psi on a certified MAC compression tester.
  10. It's too big, I run a 38mm Lectron on a 460cc 7mm stroke cub motor.
  11. Don't really need to, I already know about most the good low end pipes out there (my dyno testing). Top ones are in no particular order: Pt mids, FMF Gnarleys, Pro Circuits. The 2 into 1 actually has a higher redline than the pt mids and the pro circuits. It still makes less power and has a narrower curve though.
  12. use a smaller carb with your setup. You know, I think I have a 34mm pj in the shop?
  13. yellow is the lighting wire for the coil. The black is the harness ground wire. You need to be testing the wires running to the white plug. Your gonna need to check a manual or get the proper probing info.
  14. I think stock is like 22.5 or 22.75 cc if I remember right. If it was 24cc, then noss would probably list a 22cc and a 23cc dome, dont ya think?
  15. You should start your own show like "The Hills". You can get that bitch Spencer over there with ya, and you two can be drama queers together on the forum. Wow, mature! Looks like you already did start it! Your attitude on here is getting old. Its Hard to believe your a moderator.
  16. Yup, I have a bunch of pgrograms on my pc at home. There is a pipe design program in there.
  17. Read this book. Its more than we could ever type out. They also make two stroke pipe programs that are available on the net.
  18. Your local guy with the t6's on a ported 4 mill is a fool. He is probably fast when he drag races people, but the bike is probably a handful when it comes to doing anything else. There are several low-end pipe and port work threads on here. You just have to poke around and you will find them. I ride a low-mid setup in the sand, and I like it a lot. It does fairly well everywhere.

  20. It was a cascade dipstick. I have extreme paddle ultra lights, they made those with the kevlar paddles to help that problem.
  21. ?????? All the testing I have done says they focus more on the low-mid. They even redline at a lower rpm than pt mids. Pipe to pipe on the same motor, pro circuits make more power off the bottom and pull harder through the midrange. We tested them last year on a motor that had pt mids. The pc's made more torque, had a broader curve, redlined 400rpm less than the pt mids, and made 5 more hp than the pt mids.
  22. Actually, I wont run an amulinum dipstick either. Plastic only, and everyone else we ride with that saw what happened was a little scared of their aluminum dipstick after that.
  23. Is the problem no lights, or no spark?
