  1. the thermocap is pretty accurate, its in the top of the radiator, and thats where the water from the head dumps into the radiator.
  2. vf3's will flow more on a cub setup, but your definitely going to need different pipes if you run those cylinders. For stock cylinders, the stock cages with bolt on reeds will outperform the vf3's with the setup you want to run.
  3. The easiest way to put in a gauge is one of those mr. gasket thermocaps.
  4. The stock cages with carbon tech low or mid tension reeds will outperform vf3's on that setup with pt mids. Another good option is stock cages with boyeseen dual stage reeds. Vf3's are a mid-top end part, your pipes aren't gonna rev much past 8,850 rpm, so they dont do much for the setup you want to run. Going bigger than 35mm with the 2 into 1 intake on stock cylinders with a port job is not a real great idea also.
  5. Why are you putting vf3's on a bike set up for low-mid power?
  6. People who don't adopt a routine maintenance policy, know how to ride the bike properly, or use the proper procedures to repair the bike, will not have good luck with it being reliable.
  7. I have a couple blue underbody led's on mine.
  8. 80 mph radar tested on moist flat sand.
  9. Yeah, I go out there with Jack, Dave, and travis to watch them drag race when we are down there on the big weekends. Hopefully Dan can get this drag bike screaming pretty good and get us in the hunt. My cousin owns the bike, and I am building the frame for it off a stocker. Its been steady but slow getting it lightened and setup. Right now we are working on doing a chromoly subframe. Got the jig on it, just need to cut the stock one off now.
  10. Mikuni TM 30's, I dont think I would go over a 32mm.
  11. We race in the un-mentioned place out on the flats. I race for fun, my bike is a low-mid quad, but it does alright most of the time. We are actually building a drag bike right now thats gonna have a patriot racing motor in it.
  12. The single carb kit doesn't get you a ton more power down low, it makes the bike accelerate faster.
  13. Its not illegal to race at boxcar, the railroad owns the land, and it's private property.
  14. 9,500 rpm if I remember right.
  15. low or mid tension carbon tech reeds on stock cages.
  16. Glad you like em Matt.
  17. Ground on the voltage regulator, and voltage at the light with the bike reved up.
  18. I am saying we have a quadzilla that is faster than a mildly built banshee with around 90hp. The zilla is built to the hilt. Its not that far fetched of a claim. I know its not faster than a banshee with a cub motor thats pushing 100hp. Like someone said, anything can be fast, and can beat other bikes with modifications. The Quadzilla we have has about $5k dumped into the motor, and around $3K into the chassis. BE REALISTIC, IT IS POSSIBLE! To say the Quadzilla is the fastest two stroke ATV on the planet would be far fetched. There is one other post where I said Raptors are starting to get fast into the Range of what a banshee can do on the drag strip, but they are not the fastest still.
  19. There are some stupid un-realistic people on here.
  20. The bike doesn't suck in exhasut gas. The exhaust powers the turbine and then it dumps out of the turbo einstein. The turbine compressor sucks in outside air and forces it in the intake.
  21. the american star heim joint are noisy as fuck.
  22. Daj, Seriously? 85hp on a stock stroke, standard range bore, banshee cylinder motor, not running on anything more than race gas?
  23. 70-75hp.
  24. I have seen some make it, and some not make it. Its not a good idea to do them in an oven, thats for sure. I heard there is a het gun or lamp setup that has worked, apparently the powdercoat did not look that great though.
  25. None of the low-mid pipes are going to do anything for you but narrow your power window. You cant just slap a low-mid pipe on with 34mm carbs, and a drag port and expect it to work. Closest your gonna probably get is those cpi pipes. You need to swap out the cylinders and get smaller carbs to make it a trail machine.
