  1. 75mph according to that dirtwheels article years ago.
  2. I got the weekend of April 16th off to go. I am gonna head down saturday morning and stay until tuesday at Horsfall in Coos Bay. As of right now, every campsite except for 5 spots in the campground is available for reservations online.
  3. I dont think you do.
  4. I really feel your over thinking this thing. Moving it a tiny little bit to get a .005" of adjustment out of it doesn't throw the thing way off. It is still sitting flush with the flywheel. If it was really bad for it, and made it run like crap, I would have figured it out and wouldn't be doing it anymore. All you do is move the pickup while it is screwed to the bracket to get the right clearance. It isn't rocket science to figure out this is easier and safer to do than to run the risk of striping the screws out or breaking them off. It is still sitting on the bracket square, not too sure if your actually understanding what I am saying. So far this setup has been ran for 3 years that way with zero issues at all.
  5. If you dont bend it, then you stand the chance of breaking the screws off when loosening and tighening. Its just easier to center the screws and bend the mount tab to get the clearance right on the pickup gap.
  6. You just bend it while its on the bracket bolted in. The flywheel grows as it revs up to max rpm. I usually set them at .022"-.025" clearance.
  7. Every campground on the dunes there sucks, if its not the access road, its the facility. The dunes suck ass, the town sucks ass, the restraunts suck ass, and bike shops suck ass.
  8. It needs to stay dry, and if the motor vibrates excessively, it can be extremely hard on it. The pickup gap also has to be set so the flywheel is not contacting it. It is not a matter of luck, its a matter of mechanical know how and setup. Granted it's not a pile of crap stator to start with.
  9. You dont have to cut a hole in the plastics to see the Mr. Gasket temp gauge cap. You can see it from the side.
  10. Send it back and just get a Mr. Gasket temp gauge cap. Then you dont have to cut a hose or dump the coolant to put it in.
  11. I will never ride in Florence again if I don't have too.
  12. Boost Bottles! I see them everywhere.
  13. Have kevin do a trail or even an mx port. He will probably keep the exhaust duration somewhere around 189 or less. Put a set of carbon tech mid tension reeds on it (special order), and some 28mm flatslides or D slide carbs with the pro circuits. Get the compression bumped up to around 170-175 psi also. Bump up the timing or get a dyna, and you will probably also need to run at least 50/50 race gas in it.
  14. Mr. Gasket Thermo cap. If the radiator level drops and the bulb is not submersed in coolant due to a leak, you'll know it before you would with a leaking o-ring and a sender in the head.

  16. Everybody! Dont forget to hit the "Delete my vote" button and re-vote for what you would like to see on the poll.
  17. I run a DC Conversion with a stock stator, it all depends on battery size. I wouldn't use a Ricky or RM Stator 200w if it was the last stator on the planet.
  18. I changed the poll again guys, so delete your vote and re-vote for what days you want to go to Horsefall Campground on the weekend of April 16th 2011.
  19. The power curve isn't like a drag bike.
  20. Have an extended base mount made for them then. Like the ones on the front of the blue bike on the right.
  21. Depends, it can actually be pretty close to the draw of a 5watt 194 halogen light bulb depending on how many led's it has in it.
  22. How many milliamps does it draw?
  23. A stock cylinder ported 4 mill will not be comparable to a 4 mill serval. The Serval is gonna make more hp and Torque with a better spread.
  24. He is at work, He will answer you probably tomorrow.
