question about what octane to use...
wacko2000 replied to 97_banshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
It says in the ad, that it will run on any gas I would still do a compression check and see where you're at Joe -
These guys sound like a bunch of tools for sure Are any of these fellas members on the HQ?

See I have good and bad about the N down, seems like for a trail bike it isnt the best idea. thanks for the info I do alot of trail riding and hill climbing, I dont think about it, but i always seem to kno what gear I am in. I do agree with you though, i dont wanna hit N all the time before finding 1st, i will get tired of that fast. Seems like the extremes are the shit huh? Jeff, Carl and I have spoke many times about my POS tranny, Im just looking to hear from other guys on the board I will be ordering in the next 2-3weeks, I just want to make sure i dont miss anything and have some knowledge on these overrides. thanks

What's up guys I have been working out some bugs with my bike, basically jetting and electrical On top of that, the bike just doesn't wanna shift. I even had a tranny cut/modified by HJR and that didn't help either. Everything is new and adjusted properly When we open the motor up, the dogs and shifting forks where in real bad shape with gouges taken out of them. I would like to go with a override but don't know which direction to take, there are many different overrides What else would be recommended to do while doing a override, i have new clutch and billet basket. I do trail riding, hill climbs, some friendly racing and may hit the dunes once a year. So do i want N down or stock? do i want 5 or 6 gears? etc Please any help or suggestion are appreciated. thanks PS Sleeper06 has done a lot of work on my shee, he has been the one splitting the cases and casing electrical problems and trying to fix the stupid shifting problem. Hopefully he will chime in here as well.

Pro Circuit to Shearer/CPI with dune port
wacko2000 replied to glamisaurus's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
You will loose some bottom, nothing to cry over especially if your doing alot of duning If you do loose more than you where whiling to sacrafice, you could always through some more compression and timing at it to make it up Just kno that the delivery is going to be way different than the pro circuits but it isnt anything that you can't get used too. Cpi's are a awesome pipe, I have them on my shee and i basically do alittle of everything. I have 35pwk airstrikers and my bottom end hits real hard Joey -

wacko2000 replied to BigRed350x's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Bump for 2 sick bikes Im gonna be honest, If i lived closer and was able to test ride that raptor, I think i would buy it just to have it Even though where I do live there is no where to enjoy it. But anyways good-luck with your sales Seems like a nice thing your doing for your Dad PS. Im curious on how well than raptor runs against a strong running 4mil ?? I kno it kind of a tough comparison just curious on how hard it runs -
If this is for pipes and silencers this is a awesome deal Someone better scoup these up I paid almost 500 shipped for a mint used set of CPI's this is a great price

Okay here is my opinion. I have the older style ASR fully adjustable a-arms, have them about 2yrs or so Originally sent me the wrong tie-rods, i called up and they corrected my problem, It wasn't that serious for me bc i was working on my roller while my motor was being built, but still sent the wrong parts. After having them for about 3 months, i crashed the shee, bent upper arms and heim joints and the seration bolt that holds them to the spindle, they replaced a-arms no questioned asked, but cost me 20bucks for that main bolt, it was covered under warranty, they couldn't even believe that i bent it. They are pretty strong, no question I have put them through some serious abuse, but for the Heim joints, they are HUGE pieces of shit, I have so much slop and play in the heim joints, they wore out fast, make noise and squeek. I wouldnt go with heim joints ever again, ball joints are def the way to go. I see that, they now sell them with ball joints so it would be something to consider for only 400 bucks with a lifetime guarntee. Customer service could be better for sure but there are pros and cons with every company. Joey

WHERE SHOULD I GO WITH MY BUILD
wacko2000 replied to bebetekbanshee358's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Welcome to the HQ Take the cape off please, makes it tuff to read I have ridden 82 a few times, used to go there all the time How are the cops down there these days?????? I was supposed to go there last saturday Anyways, u seem like you have some knowledge on what's going on If you are reading 60-70 psi, you def need to rebuild Also, I would say that you should be close to a 270 main, if you had 200 in there, that could have very well been your problem, running that bike super lean. I doubt switching oils was the problem, more like a coincidence bc you where running so lean. Was just a matter of time that you hurt the motor. I would inspect the reeds while you have everything apart, make sure they looks good and give the carbs a good cleaning, sand finds itself into every nuke and crannie Joey -
