  2. well , u have a noss head. so id pm NOSS here on the forum -- site sponsor atleast 21 domes, mike ask noss .. might go with a 22cc dome.... and back that timing down to +4 . that should do the trick. yea, im not seeing any spacer plate, so goin to say stock 350. order a new oring kit aswell -- use some vaseline on the o-rings when u install. help keep them in place when u put the head back in , use a torque wrench when putting head back on . as for jetting , id leave it for now.. being rich is better than leaning it out.... u could start backin the jetting down later. or ask NOSS ... what he thinks you jetting should be about. sorry i couldnt upload pics.. it wouldnt let me for some reason .. glad u finally got them to work .. makes it easier to get some help

  4. goin to be hard to find , might not want used ones anyways... maybe try to hit up one of the site sponsors and see what new ones would run you. cheap used parts arent always the best . could cost you more in the long run.
  5. yes, the old pj 's idle like crap threads.. my 34mm pj's were a pain ... like u said, i had to set my idle alittle higher. also check and make sure your slides are insync. adjust air/fuel screw also .. that should help with idle. pm wesw..... the man knows his pj carbs
  6. yea, im with rubberneck on this one.... 17 domes on a 4mil .. alittle high. i run 20cc on my 4 mil cub . take a pic of the metal plate... could just be the metal gasket if its a stock head, or the 2 piece like said... yes, will have to change jetting... stock carbs ??? dont think a 4 mil will have stock carbs. are your pics in photobucket ?

  8. good post by 87sheerips... ask the owner to do compression check ... should be atleast 110 and above , if not.. you are lookin at a new top end.thats new pistons,gasket and bore job . find out what yr it is.. and if it still has a stock crank. if owner says it has motor work done.. find out what. if he says its ported... find out by who. if ts the guy down the street.. might stay away or get a lower price. if its a bad port job .. u are lookin at a new set of cylns and top end. look at frame for any bends or cracks, also look at the cases by the rear sprocket (shifter side) see if the cases have been cracked my a chain coming loose. sit on it and make sure rear shock isnt blow . see how many kicks it takes the owner to start . if its 10 .. prob should stay away .or less $$ let us know what it looks like and we will try and help. if u could post a pic, thatt would help aswell

  10. a big motor will only get you so far ... set up , set up ,setup ... and practice. tou are lookin at alky carbs,overide tranny , lockup, pingel,fuel pump,billett bowls for carbs,oof drag pipes. cub motors are cheaper... super cubs ,dm's,dmx's all need major case work . 7 mil cubs and higher need the cases trenched for the crank. i have 7 k in my suspended drag chassis F.A.S.T. 4 mil cub -- 39pwk alky carbs, wcr 1-5 n-down overide, slingshot lockup ,cyln head dragported and cases ported by jeff at fast racing. lonestar dragaxle, dd spindle mount wheels. also have a whelie bar. whole bike wieghs around #240 lbs. a dm or dmx motor is goin to be $$$$$$$ , custom head and pipes with alot of case work. swingover to atvdragracers.com .. alot of good info on that site. pm KOOLGUYSON... sonny has some sick drag bikes .

  12. what ever you do .. dont run pump gas till we figure this out . otherwise u could blow the top end up = $$$$ . alot of people say they have "work done" which could even mean its been bored... u need to find out if its ported ,open the stator cover (shifter side) ...see if it has a aftermarket timing plate (should have numbers on it) if not... might have to get a flywheel puller and see if it has a degree key for the flywheel. if you can find out from the ower what was done, it would save you alot of trouble. ask about porting and timing, and compression if they know.

DRAG PORTED MY 4 MIL CUB CYLNS.. nate MCcoy builds some sick motors, so does k&t.. , might hollar at kevin herr aswell . i didnt see a overide in ur post ,are u running one. like shannon said... probably be safe and run a pump and billett bowls. having a light bike helps also . set up, set up ,set up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. rdz are some great pipes . they are comparied close to shears for power .. cant go wrong with them.
  19. cool head or shaved stock head ? whats ur timing , whats ur elevation , domes .... any porting ??? what kind of race gas are you useing ?
  20. 700 will take you with that set up ... sorry kevin can throw down a sick port job ... but if u dont have the pipes or exhaust to match ... then your just wasteing a good port job. talk to kevin .. but u need some cpi inframes atleast or even a good set of toomys. if u are goin to do more drag racing, look into sheer pipes. theres alot into making ur bike go fast --- setup !! prob lookin at 34 - 35mm carbs, good clutch ( i run the clutch pack that jeff at f.a.s.t. sells)
