was it doing it before. both my cr 250 and 125 make a noise like you may be describing i bilieve it is the water pump impellar.i dont have the 250 any more.but it was like that when bought new.never had any problems.probably normal your local dealer could tell you if he heard it run my 2 cents.

see you did say second from top but stock is 3rd.i would check your float hight and fuel valve on float make sure its operating ok could be stuck.

mains and pilot are correct but the stock needle position is 3rd clip not 2nd.im in flint michigan my elevation is 800 ft.is the needle 2nd clip from bottom our top of needle if its 2nd from bottom twards were needle meets the seat at the main then its probly running rich thus letting to much fuel in from quarter to 3 quarters throttle.

your set up close to what mine is going to be.i live in michigan.thats what i will try first im sure you been threw the trial and error.yours run pretty strong.thanks man greatly appreciate

just got done paintig mine with krylon looks good.sanded with 320 then with 600 grit.its important to try not and miss any thing when sanding cause you will notice when painting little spots that paint dont want to stick be patient let it dry re sand area if this happends and you will be fine.also after all sanding was done i sprayed with windex and dried off with paper towl.

i masked mine to but i used a drummel tool with a little cut off wheel worked real well then sanded with 320 then with 600 grit.

i once had a older four wheeler i drilled holes on each side of the crack and zip tied it then put gorilla glue on both sides it expands while drying.then i cut out the zip ties sanded down with sander then bondo it resand and painted with some krylon fusion paint then some clear coat turned out pretty good.just something to throw your whay good luck.

i have read alot of forums but not sure how you calculate for the sea level your at.this is what im doing and what i have.fmf fattys,k&n no lid,bore 20 over,mild port job,milling head 20 thousanths,ricky satator timing advance plate.i bought this it is a 1998 first 4 wheeler i always had dirt bikes and still do.went threw and dissasembled carbs did a goog cleaning.i installed 280 mains and 30 pilot jets.but from what i have been reading i might be a little lean kinda concerned.looks like most with this set up go with 320 mains and a 25.7 pilot.i know this subject has been beat up but i dont know how my elevation plays in im at 800ft.should i try out what my set up is now see how she runs when i get it back together or should i change something before i even put it back together.any info is appreciated.

if you our some one had the clutch apart ther is a little ball bearing at the end of the push rod it may have fallen out.it sets behind the adjuster on the clutch .if this happend it will cause you to have to much play thus causing not enough engagement on the clutch hope this may help!

hi everyone,getting top end redone its stock.im boring it over 20 thousanths and im having a mild port job mostly on the transfers.the guy doing my work has 30 years in buisness and he recommended vitos pistons with the port job.not 30yrs with just banshees but in boring sleeving and rebuild had him do other stuff for me never a problem.but i did a search and read some stuff and some people said vitos wont work with port job because it throws of exhaust port timing.i havent had any of this done yet but will in the next couple weeks.so any imput would be great.$40.00 per cylinder on bore$100.00 on port work.dont know how much for head yet. should i just go with the weisco.always ran them in my dirt bikes.thanks guys.

your pilot jet is located next to main jet.under the white plastic piece that your main jet goes threw if you take that plastic piece out down that small little hole you will need a real small screwdriver to get it out.stock mains are usually 220 and pilots are #25

LISTEN TO BIG RED COMPRESSION TEST FIRST.CHECK PLUGS THEY SHOULD BE A NICE DARK BROWN IF IT IS RUNNING LEAN THEY WILL LOOK VERY LIGHT BROWN OR WHITE.YOU MAY ALSO HAV A FUEL DELIVERY PROBLEM OR AN AIR LEAK.CHECK AND MAKE SURE YOUR CARBS ARE IN SYNC.I HAVE SEEN ONE OF THE SYNC WINDOWS FALL OUT OF THE CARB BEFORE CAUSING AN AIR LEAK WICH IN RETURN A LOSS OF VACCUM.MAKE SURE YOUR NOT MISSING THE LINE THAT CONNECTS THE 2 CARBS IN THE MIDDLE.ALSO IT WOULDNT HURT TO DO A GOOD CLEANING AND INSPECTION ON YOUR CARBS.TAKE OUT YOUR FUEL VALVE FROM THE GAS TANK AND CHECK IT MAKE SURE IT IS OK.FILTER COULD BE PLUGGED UP.

also needle is set at 3rd position they say nothing about moving it.

fmf recommends 280 mains and #30 pilot jets for the fattys.i have the carbs all ready done totally disasembled and cleaned every thing.i put them all back together.my question is will this be good jetting i will be running k&n no lid want to have head milled and maybe do a mild port job cause i will be redoing top end.motor is out so i want it to be right when i put it back in.fmfs are bran new bought it with stock pipes.what is a round about price for a mild port job anybody!!!!!!!!!!
