  2. i got a 98 just built , total motor , ported , k+n , +4 time , fmf pipes, v force, new seals bearings , dura blue axle +2 a arms ohlins front shocks , pep rear shock , alot more , didnt even ride it yet , just started it in the garage , in new york , but i have friend that drives across country all the time
  3. nothing will out last a honda ! yamahas are pretty good too , ktm's are built well also , have good motors but suspension sucks ass , no link rear is complete pos, and their forks arent much better , especially a couple of years ago , a little better now not as good a major 4 japs
  4. a helicoil is alot stronger than just tapping threads, the only reason it came out is because it wasnt installed right , probably didnt brake off the little tab after he threaded in the helicoil
  5. i have a dura blue 2+2 axle , not bent , nothing stripped , comes with spacers and nuts

  8. the best way to check for spark is to take out spark plug from cylinder and plug it into cap and touch it to bare metal of cylinder and kick , or you can unplug cap from plug and stick a screw driver into cap ond hold the metal part of screw driver 1/8 inch away from plug (so spark can jump ) and kick and watch for spark
  9. the idle gear clip fell off on my motor and it went into the clutch basket gear , fucked that gear up , then broke the plastic water pump gear and over heated my motor , that was a expensive leson to learn , wish there was a better way to hold that idle gear on

  11. clutch being to tight ? sound like it might be slipping , get a repair manual and ajust the clutch properly , with the arrow on the case and the clutch arm , maybe time for a new clutch

  14. i had a bad crank seal on right side , my tranny was getting pressure and pissing out the over flow , pressure inside the crank pushed out the crank seal and into the tranny ,
  15. i just raced my brother on his trx 450 with a cam and pipe and k+n , and beat him , not by much but i dont have many mods , pipes ,v force , k+n , +4 timing advance im starting to like this banshee, going to take it in the sand tommorro , probably even better
  16. never going to believe this , cleaned carbs and took it for a ride again , 15 minutes and it died again let it cool down ran then died , while sitting there and thinking about just setting it on fire right where it sits , saw that the gas cap vent hose had a kink in it , took it off and it runs like a raped ape, starts on first kick , i cant believe something that stupid drove almost crazy , thanks for all your help guys , has this happened to anyone else ?

  18. got a set of cylinders on stock bore , off a 2002 , mint condition 250 + shipping , on ebay right now
  19. dealer ship near me (new york )had them in stock , honda dealer too,
  20. ok , rebuilt the motor ,top and bottom , brand new , mods are +4 timing advance , fmf fattys , k+n no lid , v -force reeds , tors removed , jetted with vitos jet kit w/ 300 mains , sea level , (ny) . ran good when started up ,a little hard to start, bogs till warmed up, idled fine sounded good , first ride had a small bog at bottom end , (still new to banshee , heard they all have it ) about 15 minutes into ride started to bog down , then would hardly run at all , after 10 minutes sitting started up and seamed to run fine , brought it home , when cold a litttle hard to start , about 7 kicks , and bogs and stalls till warm , compression is still good. is it possible for the jetting off , ( let it run good for about 10 minutes then to shit ) sounds like its loading up with fuel (if possible ) please help just built this shee from scratch , about to part out if i cant get it to run good , (maybe 4 poke)dont want to but geting tire of working on this thing
  21. did you say it sat for a year ? check for air leaks , carb boots could be cracked ? maybe crank seal?
  22. i have a nice strait j arm frame with swing arm and shock for sale
  23. screw a screw into it and pull it out with plyers
  24. was torqing down head nuts and a stud was pulling out of the cylinders , now im going to helicoil the stud back in , does any one know the stud thread size so i can get a heli coil
  25. pull off the cylinder , you might get lucky and be able to see it under the rod , i dont think it could go out the exhaust
