  1. starting has never been a problem nither. what you have to do is just push down on the kicker a few times slow, make sure your chokes are on. if your good you can tell when your one cylinder is at the top of its stroke and give it a full hard kick. every bike I have had pvls on only took 3-5 kicks to start. Now the cranker was a pain to get fired. This was starting with alky aswell. bike sat for a few weeks did the same process fired right up
  2. I have always had luck with pvl's. the one on the cub I have had for about 6 years with out one problem. I have another pvl thats going on the 20mill dmx that has worked great in the past as well. Just make sure they are hooked up right and grounded well. for 500ft we run tall gearing and never really had a problem launching even in second gear.
  3. Im leaning being a lean bog and not a rich bog. with my 10mill cub with 39pwks 55 pilots work great drop down to a 52 it will have a bog off idle

  5. Its gasping for fuel. if you hold it just a little like you are talking it is getting enough fuel when you pin it not to bog. jump your pilot up 2 jet sizes bet it wont bog then
  6. I would just try a bigger size pilot, if you move the needle up a notch that will richen it up clear to 3/4 throttle.

  12. Jim from passion racing can build a hell of a mean trail bike motor. His hot duner port will put you in the mid 80's usable horse power every where.
  13. get yourself some 14 inch filters. del needle middle clip 55-58 pilots 165-168 mains to start air screw about 1 turn out
  14. Gary I run 19cc cut domes in my cub. 175 pounds compression. Im going to bump it up to around 185-190 this year and see if it helps. The domes you had in it before was killing your topend. We run 500 feet. If those dont work let me know I can hook you up with getting a custom set cut for your set up.

  18. No he can still get a duneable all he needs for that is the springs between the shift forks im about 99% sure.
  19. Same here. I ported a set of cylinders way back in the day. set up for a 10mill, had the head milled and cut the domes out myself as well. untuned on the dyno it made 86 hp. cant complain for a doing it myself and un tuned. The cylinders where set up by twister with blaster sleeves other then that I ported them
  20. So if you never had it running the rings have not had time to seat. I would guess once you break it in you should have more compression. Guess thats how it works,but Like Roger said the squish is to lose. I like it around 52-55
