  1. +2 arms, and get new rims with a 4+1 offset. As far as floats go, I haven't seen anyone thats got them for the banshee yet (I haven't seen too many people that have them period). But every single person that I've seen that's gotten them for any quad raves about them. Im considering getting a pair.
  2. Uh, no. Try more than 10. Personally I kick about 15-20 times.
  3. Castor oils. Other than that I don't know. Most oils are at least a blend nowdays.
  4. While he may not have been the most tactful, he's right. Even buying used it would be tough to get it all for $500 (it would be total shit if you did find it that cheap). Think though, for the front end you need a-arms, shocks, tie-rods, and brake lines.
  5. Better yet, call a local brickyard, and have them send 1 brick a day USPS.
  6. I never said that there is no such thing as a 2 stroke without reed-valves, but I'll bet it has them. Boysen lists reeds for polaris 300 2 stroke motors. And this isn't a diesel or a rotax or a weedeater. (course it is polaris, so who knows).
  7. Uhh, check again, it should have reed valves. Unless Polaris came up with another "revolutionary" technology, it has reed valves.
  8. Hmm, I got about 3" each side too. Sounds to me like some people need to hold off on quad parts and get a newer monitor
  9. I got a clutch from FAST and at first I thought about just using 3, but after talking to him I went ahead and threw them all in there (he didn't talk me into it really, just gave me the idea that I might as well use them all). At first I noticed it was some stiffer, and on the first ride I could tell. But after that first ride I never could tell again. Just feels like a clutch to me, and my arms will be dead tired long before my hand is from pulling in the clutch. Point is, just use them all, its not that much stiffer.
  10. Where? I can't find anywhere that even has them listed for the banshee.
  11. Hahaha, thats the funniest thing Ive seen all week. Now I know I have some spare bricks around here somewhere...
  12. Thats looking like a good choice now, those ARC boots are out of stock in size 12, and since the new version is coming in september, there won't be any more. I went and tried some on today, and Fox boots are too narrow as well. Thor quadrant ... well, really, plastic buckles?
  13. Sure they are, but if I could afford a $300 pair of boots, I would be buying them. That and when boots get that expensive, you're paying as much for the name as you are for the boot. And thats one thing I hate to do. Also I don't race, and only hit a track every couple of months. Any pair of boots will be better than the pair of work boots im using now.
  14. Is it worth it .... No. Is it a nice thing to have .... Yes. I wouldn't spend the money on it unless you just have money to blow, but personally I can think of better uses for the money. I haven't ridden a quad or dirt bike with a hydraulic clutch, but I've ridden a couple of street bikes with them, and they are nice. But it isn't that huge of a pull reduction, and i don't have to adjust my clutch that often anyways.
  15. Well I decided Im going to try out ARC MX220V. Not a bad price, and while I can't find much about it, the reviews from other forums that I found on the boot pretty much all had good things to say about it.
  16. I doubt a 25-30 dollar tester is going to be anywhere near accurate. The one I have cost about $90, and its not top dollar either. Heres what you need: http://buy1.snapon.com/products/diagnostic...03A&dir=catalog
  17. Well I just came across these and had to laugh. No Im not going to get them, cuz they look like they kind of defeat the purpose of having boots. http://www.motoworldracing.com/axo-06-slam...kull-boots.html
  18. Run in them? My problem with the Alpinestars is they are too narrow in the heel. I know its meant to be like that to hold your foot in place, but its too much for me. Plus it would be nice for them to flex a little. The ones I rode with were a buddies, and they are plenty broke in, so that wasn't the issue.
  19. http://www.gunsamerica.com They've got all kinds of stuff.
  20. Well I've finally given in and decided I need to get some boots. But I refuse to get something as stiff as Alpinestars. Ive tried riding with them (not for a little bit, for a whole day), and can't stand them. From what Ive read online, and from talking to a few people, something like Gaernes Explorer boot would be perfect. It allows some movement, but still protective. Does anybody have any experience with them, or any other similar boots? And know where to get a good price on them.
  21. top is the vent, the bottom hooks up to the radiator right by the cap.
  22. Retail on a new banshee $6200, retail on a new raptor $7000. Pipe it and throw shocks on it, you would be just over the price of the raptor, and would kick its ass everywhere.
  23. When we say water pump, we mean has the stock plastic impeller melted? If its clogged up, then run a mix of 50/50 water and vinegar through the coolant system (yes I mean run the motor with it in there) to clean it out. Then make sure there's no air leak somewhere leaning out one of the cylinders. Next would be a bad head gasket (cylinder compression will blow coolant out with a bad gasket).
  24. If theres a problem with your engine, especially anything to do with overheating, don't keep trying to get it running. All that does is make whatever problem there is worse, and the repairs more expensive. Check your compression (see if you toasted a piston), then check the water pump. 2 most obvious causes there.
  25. its spelled throTTle
