ok guys, i sent my clutch cover out to cali to get it polished. i took off the big water pump cover but kept the smaller one that covers the impeller on. when it came back i put in a new billet impeller. i then installed the new gasket for the clutch cover and the polished clutch cover. i torqued all the bolts to specification. my next step was to torque the bolts for the small water pump cover. i then relized i probably shoul have oiled the bearings that are attached to the impeller. should i take the clutch cover off and oil the bearings or should i be ok?? thanks

i would go with a -2 or a -1. i ride mostly trails and im going w the -2 just from what ive heard the minus 2 sounds like it reallly hooks up. good luck and let us know what you get.

Ya I got ripped off big time. they quoted me a price of 50 bucks to remove the old tire from the front hipers and to put the two new tires on. I evan had the rings already removed. i needed it done for the following day so i could go riding so i told them i thjought that was steep but go for it. they then call me later that day and tell me the new tires are on but theres a leak because the tires arent sitting right. i say ok fix it, thinking this is their problem because they put the tires on. go to pick them up and they added 30 bucks to fix the leak. they tried for another 50 but finally said 30 would ok. i had the other tires on the hipers for two years no problems. anyways i bring them back home to find out none of the bolts were torqued to specs even though i told them countless time what needed to be toqued. they said ya ya ya we know. I was pissed. HONDA of N Reading in Massachusetts. Ill never go back. thanks for the tip. ill try that next time peter

i love my hipers there awsome. the only problem i found w them was when i wanted to change tires. i dont have a beedbreaker so i had to bring them into my local shop to get the old tires off and the new ones on. it cost me 80 bucks just to do the the fronts. i was pissed. im going to buy a beadbreaker after that exp. and hopefully i can do it myself. so make sure if you buy them used that you like the tires or you have a beadbreaker. otherwise its going to cost you $$$. good luck and let us know what you get.

thats what i thought but someone told me you should go back to dual carb setup when you get a woods, mx port? i figured the 2 into 1 would be really sweet w the mx, woods port, ton of low end, but i wasnt positive. thanks

thats it buddy, drain out oil, put plug back in and fill. to check the brake fluid the front brakes has a res. on the handlebars and the rear on by your right heel. i would also check your your coolant, greese all zerks, tire pressure, and change plugs. good luck

ive got the trinity 2 into 1 w 35 mm carb and i love it esp on the trails. low end is much better and its so easy to adjust. i have my pilot jet at 50 my maine jet at 185 air screw turned out 2 turns 3rd clip on the needle. im around sea level too, maybe a couple hundred feet up. keep us updated

i would def. spend the money and buy some pipe clamps. they may not leak now but will probably in the future. ive bought alot of pipe clamps over the years and tm design works pipe collars are in my opinion the best. i think they look the best too. they are alittle more exp. than normal clamps but there well worth the investment. lets us know what you get

yes the carbs are stockers and i tink i know what your talking about. ill tighten the scres tomorrow and let you know what happens. thanks alot

i was in a bit of a rush so i didnt really get in there. but theres a long line on each of the carbs. Infact its the longest line(s) out of all of them. that line goes right out to the bottom of the bike. if you have a belly skid plate on your bike it goes beyond the sid behind the last frame rail that holds the motor. so if you look under a bike w a belly skid its the only two lines you will see. im bad at explaining stuff sorry. if this doesnt make sense ican take a pic tomorrow? thanks for your speeedy replies guys.

whats up guys, well i noticed my bros banshee is leaking gas. the carbs have several differnet plastic tube lines coming from them the two that are the longest lines and are located closest to the swing arm. well one or maybe both of those are leaking gas. i shut the gas line to off at the tank and it obviously stopped but anyone know what this is from? never had this problem before. thanks
