  1. Change Ur plugs. my dads had the same problem but ran even worse.
  2. use some grease on the o rings and they stay in place
  3. just take it to the nearest welding shop and have them patch it up or u can just buy another one

Alba is great i live in the same town that alba is located and they have never let me down ever!!!!!!!! the owner is awesome and the parts he supplies for my bike are absolutaly astonishing. i race for his team in disrtict gp races so all u shit talkers cough up your balls and lets race ur built bike over my somewhat built alba bike!
  7. just buy two chains and then break them and add links from the spare chain for the good length then put in ur master link and u are good to go plus u have brand new links if you need them!!
  8. THe most popular is just a k&n without the airbox lid. the best i have to say is dual k&ns straight on the carbs!!!
  9. first i would check your plugs and see if they are fouled and if they are its time to lean out your premix. if that doesnt work then i would get a new ignition coil. you probably have a weak spark so either ignition coil or your pick up coil. after that check the compression. my buddy has the same problem but his is just a piece of shit he doesnt take care of it he rides his crf 450 more than his shee which i think is pretty rediculious!!!

Stock pipes and filter suck!! the banshee wants to breathe a lot more than what yamaha has made it. yamaha made it so it wont be too much for ppl to handle so they de-tuned it by restricting airflow. if i were u i would get a set of pipes and get rid of the whole airbow thing and get dual k&n filters then rejet the sucker and it will run like a beast!!!

Thats Sounds Like it Melted The Sleeves To the pistons. the only way i can think of that got oil in the cooling system is that u blew either cylinder or the head gaskets and it forced oil into the cooling system. Good luck what i would do is get my sleeves bored and honed then get new gaskets and put a little bit of sylicone or gasket sealer on them when u install and dont over tighten the stud nuts before the sealer has time to set up.

  13. the banshees have not changed at all since they first came out so all parts will fit on any banshee
  14. well what i have noticed is that 300 mains and stock pilot jets is the best way to go and run your bike 40:1 cuz it gets a little more power and revs quicker and less smoke. although you top end wont last as long but mine has lasted on 40:1 since 01 so yeah and it just blew last trip so it should be good for awhile depends if you ride like a grandma or not
  15. alright i had that same problem with my bike. your carb slides are in backwards there is a little groove on one side which should point towards the cylinders and the longer flat side towards the filters. and that should be it
  16. dont shave your head if u want a little more power but cheap just get a smaller head gasket and get reed spacers for better throttle response and it will help get you bike into the powerband a lot quicker. when i did that i was used to going 3rd and 4th through the dunes and now im going 4th and 5th thats how much of a difference it makes.
  17. i run 20cc domes on pump gas with a stock bore and i was running 140psi and that worked super good so if i was you i would go with 20s. if you bore you cylinders out you dont have to do anyhting to the head all the domes will fit unless you have a big bore kit or something like that.
  18. ok all banshees have sketchy shifting the only way to fix that problem that is inexpensive is to get a new shift cam. yakkey has one for like 120 bucks. the other way to go is to get new gears. rdzracing has straight cut gears for close to 400 bucks. it may not solve ur problem but it will help in performance.
  19. but if i keep the stock carbs will it run lean? what jetting in the stockers should i use? itll save me a whole lot if i can keep the stock ones.

Alright so i blew my top end this past trip so now i have to get it bored .40 over. im going to get the 5mm stroker crank that has a 4mm longer stroke with 65mm pistons. im getting a stage 4 porting from trinity and i was wondering if i would need to change my jetting or get bigger carbs. im running 300 mains right now and stock bore with 20cc domes im running 140 psi in both cylinders. what do you think the best way to go is? bigger jets or just some 33 or 35 pkw's?
