I'll be the one to say, start off with a banshee. You will most likely outgrow any other quad. Why not start off with a beast. Banshees are simply awesome quads especially when modded to hell and back. You say you like feel of a 2 stroke so you should feel right at home on a banshee. They are just as reliable as any 4 stroke. At least mine has been. And maintenance is just like any other piece of machinery. Keep fresh premix gas in it, keep the air filter clean, chain lubed up and you will have countless hours of fun. If you get a stock one, first thing on your "to change" list should be an aftermarket air filter. And welcome to the BHQ. :beer:

Are the carbs in syncronization? Also, did you replace the choke crossover tube between them? :beer:

i just got thru putting a 4mil dune port together and it really kicks ass. So I dont know about a 7mil. You may need case trenching, not sure. Some things to look at would be getting bigger carbs, cool head and prolly some shearer or cpi pipes. Also, id get rid of that degree key in your sig and pic up a ricky stator adjustable timing plate. And also decide on what kind of fuel you wanna run. :beer:

Yamalube is part synthetic. I was told by a reptuable engine builder to break the engine in with whatever oil of your prefrence. And maybe mix a little more in with the fuel. A couple of heat cycles then take the bike out and run it a little thru the gears and vary the throttle letting it slow it self down so you seat the rings on both sides. :beer:

Sorry bout that, forgot to mention I have stock foot pegs. Heres a pic, where you can see I ground off the edge of the peg. I could have sworn that Locogato has a lock-up and is running the ims pegs. Send him a pm.

Yeah, I had to grind the front corner of my left footpeg. No biggie.

I would think that the pushrod and ball would weld themselves together having either clutch setup. I've heard of this happening with the stock clutch. The pancake bearing mod isnt but like 50 bucks. I went all out when I did my clutch and installed the lockup unit. I also went with a billet clutch basket. The pull is easy and the lockup unit works well. :beer:

Yessir, thats what mine looks like., Actually mine has a direct drive lockup unit on top of the pressure plate. lol :beer: YOu did put a washer between the pancake bearing and pressure plate, didnt you? Just checkin, it goes: top hat (adjuster thing), pancake bearing, washer, press plate, washer and nut. At least, thats what I was told. Lol

The little spacer goes on before the break hub goes on. You do not use the smaller spacer that is required for the blaster. The lock nut is 3 pieces. The nut itself, the inner piece that goes directly on the axle and the locking screw. Install the inner piece with the groove facing outwards tward the wheel hub. The groove is there for the lock ring to ride in. Get it? :baseball_wacko:

DUB, I meant NOOOO disrespect in asking you if you were kidding about the optical illusion. LOL I was really curious about your issue because I have just run into the same thing. And my situation doesnt look like an optical illusion at all. :tongue: I havent taken mine apart yet. I was just wondering mainly if the wobble at idle should raise concern. Mine wobbles only at idle but clears up after idle. No vibration, no noise or anything and so far the clutch works flawlessly. I even talked to the direct drive people and they told me that if theres no vibration or noise that it would be ok to run. Anyway, im gonna tear it down this weekend and re-torque the pressure plate one more gin, and if its still got a wobble im just gonna run it. Thanks DUB! :baseball_original:
