  2. Ok ok I'll powdercoat them, dang, I just wasn't sure if pc was flexable enough for springs. Thanks for the advice!
  3. Here we go. Much better! Don't laugh, I only spent a couple mins on it.
  4. Not that I know of.
  5. Strictly St. Anthony sand dune site. I like the weather section! http://www.duneratt.com/
  6. Dang, looks good! I like the touch of red, really sets it off. Maybe add some red handle bar grips and race cut the rear fenders too, gives em a real mean look I think. Here's the way mine are cut.
  7. I would try to find a used one that's already modded, at least piped, for less money. A lot of people take really good care of there quads and sell them for a lot cheaper than a new one. Just look it over real good before you buy.
  8. So can you buy one that way or was it "plated"? I was sure you couldn't coat plastic with chrome but I seen a guy chome a Nerf football on TV once, and, I spent 10 hours scarping chrome off a plastic grill so I guess it's possible.
  9. Good point, thanks.
  10. Pesonaly, I like to get all the hp/torque I can get (currently 63/35) and brag that it's stock bore and stroke. There really isn't a lot more I can do for more power though without borin, strokin or NOSin.
  11. Put one in! Only costs a few dollars, very easy to do and keeps all the crap out.
  12. It was in uhhhhhh, Japan, yea that's right, Japan in 2003. No, Your right, I'm an idiot sometimes. 04 I meant, 04. DAMN!
  13. A lot of times the lake will all but dry up which makes for a HUGE area for drag racing,
  14. I do believe this is it.
  15. I've riden both MANY times and there is absolutly positivly no question the Banshee in the better duner, but, that is about the only place it is better, A LOT better. >I M O< [Edit] Haven't actually been on the 06, just an 03 and an 05 YFZ.
  16. I've heard people call this dune both names over the years. Just curious what the most common name is I guess.

  18. Uhm, anyone? I'm still curious.
  19. Yea, it was a little easier than I thought it should be. Mabey we should stop talking about it before we give the mufkin thieves any more ideas.
  20. IMO, K&T Performance!
  21. There is a lot involved! I was going to attempt it myself untill I saw this. VERY interesting 2stroke stuff on here. http://www.macdizzy.com/thread_spread.htm
  22. If you really don't want to scrape the powdercoat off, you can take it to the courthouse and have an inspector look at it and he/she can give you a new legal VIN. Just tell them the sandblaster took it off accidently, worked for me.
  23. QUOTE: The graph looks pretty good to me, Banshee's just seem to have that dip right before they come on the pipe. Numbers on a dyno are useless, it's the shape that really matters. Put it on a dyno that reads 10hp higher, would it make you happier even though you know it made 10 less on another dyno? Probably not, a 63hp quad is a good running quad to me. Now a 73hp quad that isn't any faster than the 63hp quad is still a good running quad, just not a better running quad. I also would like to know how sprocket and tire size would affect the numbers. Would a smaller front sprocket and smaller tires read a lot higher numbers on the dyno which would make one motor look a lot more powerfull than an identical motor with taller gearing?
