  1. Hey guys, I'm working on friends '02 Banshee. It's been running like crap so we're trying to narrow things down. While doing this, I noticed that the carb's are missing the idle screw (or idle speed control, whatever you want to call it). I'm not familiar with Banshee carb's at all, so I snapped a pic of it (excuse the filth, we were riding around in my muddy yard before I took the pic). The red circle is where I think the idle screw is SUPPOSED to go (when he bought the bike, there was actually a vent hose there). The yellow circle is the air/fuel mixture screw. Now, is there anybody who can confirm that the screw is missing? Also, when the bike is idling, it doesn't want to rev out all the way, it loads up in the upper RPM's, but when you're riding it, once you get it into 2nd gear and above, it revs out fine. I know this is a minor jetting issue, so what would you suggest doing, would the air/fuel mixture screw be able to solve that, or would I need to change jets? Thanks in advance!!
  2. Yeah, but they're cheating, since they're boosted. I'm pysched about this new Camaro, I'm saving my pennies already! Hey thegroup, are you a part of z28.com? I've been on that forum for about 2 years, I have a '94 Trans Am M6.
  3. Blaster's are set up as 6MM stroker's quite often.
  4. Hahaha, this isn't my first LT I've owned, I know all about their quality. As long as I stay on top of maintence, I'm not worried, plus, I'm just gonna sell it in two months.
  5. True, but I guess you get used to it.
  6. The plastics aren't too bad, but why the hell is the frame purple?!
  7. I don't like the realtors at all, nor me or my buddy had a good experience with them, but I ride mostly grassy fields and stuff, so I wouldn't expect them to do good. As for how fast it is, VERY! In the yard it's not much to worry about, because once the powervalve opens, the wheels are gonna spin no matter what, but on the road, it can easily get out of hand! I'm probably gonna sell it come springtime, it's too much bike for me (only my second quad, I've been on dirtbikes my whole life).
  8. Well, I traded off my 2001 TTR-225 for a '87 Quadzilla today. The zilla's a little rough, cosmetically anyway, but she runs real good, I have about a thousand bucks worth of receipts for the motor (new everything!). It's got a coolhead, a dynoport pipe/silencer, and a bigger carb on it. I'm very pleased with it, just need to get some new tires to get at least SOME traction. And yes, I know, it's REAL ugly, but I don't care, cause wouldn't you trade a '01 TTR-225 for it?!!
  9. Ditto, I bought from a set of the polished nuts/bolts off the same company. Fast shipping, and EXCELLENT quality stuff! All the bolts and nuts are in individually labeled bags, makes t real easy.
  10. Ohhh, I'm trying remember back when I did the bottom end on my '86 LT250r. I'm 95% positive that it was left hand thread, though.
  11. I'm up for some chattage right now!
  12. Welcome to the HQ! Like everyone already said, if it runs good, and looks good, just make sure the frame is straight, and all the bearings (swingarm, axle, a-arms) are tight. Good luck! Also, please tell us more about your screen name, do you really have an LS7 in a Colorado?
  13. Somebody wanna scan that shit?
  14. Oh they smoke, they smoke reaaaaaal bad.
  15. I sold my '95 Rm 125 a few months back. Boy do I miss that thing.
  16. Hahahaha, that's so wrong.
  17. Two couples were playing poker one evening. John accidentally dropped some cards on the floor. When he bent down under the table to pick them up, he noticed Bill's wife Sue wasn't wearing any underwear under her dress! Shocked by this, John upon trying to sit back up again, hit his head on the table and emerged red-faced. Later, John went to the kitchen to get some refreshments. Bill's wife followed and asked, "Did you see anything that you liked under there?" Surprised by her boldness, John courageously admitted that, well indeed he did. She said, "Well, you can have it but it will cost you $500." After taking a minute or two to assess the financial and moral costs of this offer, John confirms that he is interested. She tells him that since her husband Bill works Friday afternoons and John doesn't, John should be at her house around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. When Friday rolled around, John showed up at Bill's house at 2p.m. sharp and after paying Sue the agreed sum of $500 they went to the bedroom and closed their transaction, as agreed. John quickly dressed and left. As usual, Bill came home from work at 6 p.m. and upon entering the house, asked his wife abruptly. "Did John come by the house this afternoon?" With a lump in her throat Sue answered "Why yes, he did stop by for a few minutes this afternoon." Her heart nearly skipped a beat when her husband curtly asked, "And did he give you $500?" In terror she assumed that somehow he had found out and after mustering her best poker face, replied, "Well, yes, in fact he did give me $500." Bill, with a satisfied look on his face, surprised his wife by saying, "Good, I was hoping he did. John came by the office this morning and borrowed $500 from me. He promised me he'd stop by our house this afternoon on his way home and pay me back." Now THAT, my friends, is a poker player!
  18. Anybody ever here the rumor that fuel filters actually can filter out some pre-mix? Not sure if it's true or not, but I took mine off my RM250 when I had that bike, just incase.
  19. Yep, I'm good for today. Let me know when you wanna play.
  20. PS2, but I might not be home tonight.
  21. So when you say "Chillin'', you really mean smoking right? Just clearing that up.
  22. Do you have a slimline PS2? If so just hook up an ethernet cable from the back of your modem, to the back of the PS2. Then go to "Multiplayer", and "Online", you'll have to get it set up and whatnot, but it's easy. If you have the older PS2, I think you have to buy some conversion thing, not sure.
  23. Damn that sucks. My AC Adapter got recalled, so I sent it in, and got they sent me a new one, then a few weeks later, then sent me a different one, because the one they originally sent, was recalled also! I didn't even bother shipping the other one back out, I still have it.
